Fantastic House In Grand Marais! Walking Distance To Downtown!

NOTE: We have two other properties! One is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house, within 1 mile of downtown. The Westside Getaway property is #2240069. The other is the Harbour View Getaway which is also a 3 bedrooms 2 bath property #3379024.


Our Grand Marais Getaway has been a vacation rental for 10 years, and is licensed with the State of Minnesota. It is a bright and spacious home just one block from beautiful Lake Superiorand downtown, in the "coolest small town in America", Grand Marais, MN.

The house sleeps 6-8 people in its three bedroom (2 queens, 1 double, and a couch with pull out bed that is another queen bed. There are 2 bathrooms, 1 with a tub/shower, and the other has a shower stall.
We provide Wifi, and Hulu television. There is also a ping pong table in the lower room, which is 4 steps down from the main level. The lower room also has a couch with pull out bed, as well as a bathroom and reading nook. Enjoy a book from our library in our handcrafted twig chairs!
In the warmer months, spend some time in the small studio building nestled in the backyard. It is a great spot for yoga!
The Grand Marais Getaway is within walking distance to all of the downtown. There are many quaint shops, some spectacular restaurants, 2 local breweries, The North House Folk School, and the Grand Marais Art Colony.
For the more adventurous, there the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, Lutsen Mountains, and tons of great hiking and mountain biking.
The Grand Marais Getaway is just what you are looking for....a Northwoods style home, near all of the amenities you could want.

The perfect weekend away

Our second time staying at this location and it was yet again a fantastic stay. Location is great. House is set up well and very clean. Beds are comfy and the ping pong table keeps teenage boys entertained. Nancy is an excellent host and great communicator.

Clean, very well stocked with towels and bed linens. Great furnishings! Nice big kitchen table. Close to town. We walked to the lake no problem! We would visit this again for sure!

Always the perfect place

This cabin is always the perfect place to stay while visiting Grand Marais. It's clean, has everything we need, comfortable, and feels like home. We can walk all over downtown easily from here. We love staying here.

Week of Fun Near Downtown Grand Marais

Our family (2 Grandparents, 2 Parents, 2 kids (3y/o & 1y/o), and 2 dogs enjoyed our stay. Proximity to Grand Marais Downtown and inclusion of everything we needed was much appreciated!

Great Grand Marais Property!

We had a wonderful time! We love Grand Marais in the winter. This is a great location to be able to walk to shops and restaurants, while still having easy access to trails. We love the large table for playing games and, of course, the ping pong table is always a hit! Highly recommend the Getaway!

Wonderful property

The property is much more spacious than the pictures show. It’s cozy with great amenities. Walking distance to all Grand Marais has to offer. Would definitely book again if we come back to the area.

Great Getaway

Amazing Family Vacation

We absolutely loved our stay here. The property was even better than we imagined. Supplied with everything that my family needed and very clean. We gathered for some of our meals here and had plenty of room for other family members staying elsewhere. The location is perfect. The host had great communication and check-in was a breeze. Great house in a great location

Even without snow - a first for us on our post-Christmas trip to Grand Marais - we had a fabulous time! The ping pong table remains a favorite, but we also love that the living area is big enough for games and puzzles! The short walk to Grand Marais makes wandering around town and out to the lighthouse a great way to get out and hit all our favorite eateries!

Grand Marais in March

My wife, our dog, and I all enjoyed our stay in this VRBO. When you want to rent some place where it checks all the boxes then go here. Great place to stay

Lots of room. Close to downtown and all the activities there. We were a little disappointed that the TV had no hookup to any cable network where we could see certain Olympic events. If it weren't for our grandson having a laptop along, we would have missed our favorite Olympic events.

Quick Ski Trip

This VRBO is great. It is our second stay and it would be our first choice if we come back to the area. Kids love the ping pong table. The house is cozy and inviting. The amenities are great and the house functions perfectly for a family. Could not even suggest an improvement in all fairness! Well done!

We hope to return

We absolutely loved this property. It had everything we needed, was very clean, and the location was perfect. Only a block and a half from 61, it was easy to walk anywhere we needed to go. The fisherman in our group did not have far to go for great places to Steelhead as well. We found all of the furniture to be very comfortable and enjoyed meals out on the back shed/patio. It was also nice to find a fire pit there even though we didn’t get a chance to use it. They had a really nice variety of games, puzzles, and DVDs for adults and children. We definitely hope to stay here again.

Annual Friends Weekend

We spend a winter weekend with our pals of 25 years in the Grand Marais area every year. What initially brought us to the area was the opportunity to CC ski. Again, this year we had to do other things, which worked out great because of this VRBO selection. The 110 Getaway house was a perfect place to be when the weather doesn't cooperate. We played ping pong, watched March Madness basketball in the cozy living room, played cards, and walked into town several times. The home is just the right size to enjoy another couple and be cozy in the north woods. The location is perfect for 10 minute walk to the grocery store or to the local restaurants and businesses. Extra wonderful to have our dogs along for the fun. We will be back!
