    The space
Just steps from city centre Grand Lake, this newly renovated cabin blends rustic charm with modern comforts in a setting that feels both connected and calm. You are close enough to walk into town for dining and shopping, yet tucked beside the river for a sense of retreat. The main living area is cosy and welcoming, centred around the indoor fireplace and comfortable seating that makes winter evenings especially inviting.

    Living, kitchen, and dining
The main level opens into a spacious living room designed for relaxing together after cold-weather adventures. The kitchen is fully equipped and set up for shared meals, with a dining table that works just as well for hearty breakfasts as it does for long dinners. Whether you’re cooking, watching TV, or enjoying a quiet night by the fire, the layout encourages easy time together.

    Sleeping arrangements
The cabin comfortably sleeps up to eight guests across three bedrooms. Upstairs, two king bedrooms offer restful spaces with plush bedding. A separate bunk room sleeps four, making it a practical option for children or additional guests. Three full bathrooms with bathroom essentials help everyone get ready with ease, even during busy mornings.

    Outdoor setting
Winter brings a peaceful beauty to the wraparound porch, where you can listen to the river and watch snowfall drift through the trees. The large yard and fire pit remain a focal point year-round, perfect for gathering under clear mountain skies when conditions allow. The scenic river view adds a quiet, grounding presence throughout your stay.

    Comfort and convenience
WiFi, heating, a washing machine and dryer, and complimentary coffee are all provided to make longer stays comfortable. Self check-in via lockbox and free parking on the premises keep arrivals simple, while safety features such as smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and exterior security cameras offer peace of mind.

    Location
With city centre Grand Lake just outside your door and the surrounding Colorado Rockies setting the scene, this cabin is well suited for families, couples, and groups of friends looking to enjoy winter’s slower pace alongside the charm of a mountain town.

Fantastic property in excellent private location within walking distance to town and lake. This beautifully appointed home on the North inlet has been tastefully renovated with an amazing kitchen which is fully stocked with everything one needs. The living area and spacious dining room are cozy and comfortable. It would be even nicer if the original fireplace could be converted to a working gas FP. The 4 twin beds also have a couple of extra mattresses under the beds to accommodate even more people. The two King suites provide private retreats for adults. The best features are the outdoor spaces where two separate gas fire pits and ample seating on the covered wraparound porch offer warmth on cooler days & evenings. This home is definitely 5 stars and we will return.
Lovely spot overlooking the creek.

River House was charming, clean, and in a perfect Grand Lake location. The property manager was very responsive when we had an issue with a sink faucet. The repairman was prompt, skilled, and very kind.

I almost hate to write this review because it'll make this property more popular and harder for me to book in the future. We've stayed at countless VRBO's and this, by far, was the the best. Sometimes it's the owner; sometimes it's the management company. This time it was both. Excellent property and excellent management.

Great place for a small group. The location was amazing being right in town but it felt secluded being right on the river. It was comfortable and well stocked except that there was no foil, plastic wrap or baggies or basics like olive oil, sugar, etc. or I would have given it a 5. Also, the outdoor heaters did not work. It was clean except some dust in various areas like the towel and toilet paper racks and some mouse droppings under the sink.Overall, it was very nice. The patio with the firepits were great.

If you are looking for a charming cabin in the mountains this is your spot! Waking up every morning to enjoy coffee by the creek in the back yard was wonderful. The cabin is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Even though it is obviously an older (possibly historical?) cabin, it has every modern amenity. This cabin is a two minute walk into the main street of Grand Lake where you will find coffee shops, restaurants, and fun shopping. Walk a few more minutes and you are on the banks of Grand Lake. There seem to be hiking trailheads around every corner. We hired guides from Grand Lake businesses for fishing and UTV adventures. The location couldn’t be better. We did encounter a maintenance issue while we were staying at the River House, but the property management company was extremely responsive. They had their maintenance crew out promptly to address the problem. Regardless of that hiccup, it was a wonderful home to stay in to enjoy the mountains. We hope to rent the River House again!
