My comments
The bed mattress is pathetic, some type of rock hard foam? The toilet rocks, clearly not bolted down. They expect you to heat with a wood stove, recall no mention of that in ad. The alternative is two electric heaters, one for kitchen & other for bedroom. Wasn't gonna mess with wood stove, electric heater ran all night, but didn't get bedroom warm enough, I was cold all night. Cabin itself was clean & fine.

Rustic, Cozy Cabin
A great location for us in between Grand Lake and Granby where my daughter lives:). Easy to get to off Hey 34 however the visual markers available from road did not match direction on website. So we used the RV park on the left to cue us to the 443 Road. We were here from Tuesday pm to Friday morning and all the heating did well for us, however, please know that you are making a fire with real wood for your main heat. As an older person I want to note that there are level changes with one step from kitchen into living room and living room to bedroom. Also, no grab bar in shower. Just FYI. The decor was cute woodsy and cabin cozy style. I did not find large bowls to use for serving a salad or side dishes in the kitchen but plenty of utensils, pots, pans, etc. Fridge is a make your own ice type. We really liked the back yard to walk our dogs. The fence is not totally around yard and not a secure fence for off leash. When we had time for some TV the streaming services were varied and there was good reception. This is a great more rustic place if you are looking for that homey comfy cozy place. It was a pleasant stay for us!

Erin,s cabin built in 1947 is rustic, providing basic needs. We were there for one night. Erin was great to communicate with and very responsive concerning our stay. She tried to resolve any issues we had.

RMNP Get away
The cabin was as advertised. Fit our needs perfectly. We did not use the fire pit because it was so dry in the area, but we loved sitting on the patio in the cool evenings. The weather was nice, the leaves were beautiful. This was our first time on the west side of RMNP. It was not nearly as crowded as Estes Park. I enjoyed fishing in the lakes. We walked the dog in the area, and enjoyed visiting the shops. The owner was very accommodating, the wifi was great. A very relaxing week

CUUUUTE!!!
My husband and I stayed here on a quick get away to see family. Pleasently surprized on the inside. Comfy and cozy. We really enjoyed the fire pit. This is a perfect place for enjoying grand lake. A little farther than I thought but it worked out just fine. My only complaint is the check in time....4pm is really late. We only rented for one night...but would be great to stay for several days.

First impression I thought this might not be a quiet place as the cabin is tucked in a subdivision of fairly close-knit places. But it turned out to be a very quiet, restful place. Not the most polished rental we have stayed in but it covered all the basics and was a very good value. Erin was communicative and helpful. Would stay there again...

Great place to stay if you are in the area, perfect for a single person or a couple. Very cozy, and clean. Easy driving distance to town and far enough away that its quite. Erin is an amazing host who works hard to make sure your stay is perfect. I will always come back here.

3 day sabbatical
Location was nice, 5 minutes to grand lake and 5 minutes to lake Granby. House is “rustic” neighborhood is ok. Beats tent camping. Really enjoyed the covered patio, very relaxing, especially during the hotter part of the day, my dog Maxwell enjoyed it too. Kitchen and bathroom are updated, plenty of towels and extra blankets. Had plenty of cook ware, space heater also heated entire house. Over all good experience and no malfunctions.

Nice short stay
This place had a nice location and was perfect for a couple. I’m glad we could bring our dogs with us. The house had most things you need. I would say some of the kitchen items are due for an upgrade as most plates were chipped and a lot of the utensils were cracked or broken in some way. Overall was perfect for a two day stay and I’m glad to have experienced Grand Lake. Thanks for hosting us.

Problems
The property has MANY issues that I am certain are not up to code. Although the place constantly smelled of propane, there are no mounted smoke/ gas detectors, only one cheesy detector that the owner said to just move where you need it...? It was not disclosed that there is only 1 bed and guests are forced to sleep on cheap, fold up cots. There is no door between the 1 bedroom and the living room where guests are sleeping on cots. The HVAC system is incredibly ineffective and you are forced to run multiple space heaters. There is a serious issue with what seems to be a propane leak as the smell is overwhelming. My guests were so concerned, they turned off a gas valve. The owners threw a fit, stating it was not to be turned off per check in instructions (which were not available to us as there was an issue with the VRBO site at the time) They charged me another unjust fee because apparently, the house froze because this valve was turned off, which we had no way of knowing should not be done but, were very concerned for our personal health because of the extreme smell of propane. In addition, the property is prime for personal injury. The drive and walk ways were not well maintained and there was a very large pile of snow/ ice that you must cross to enter. I'd be happy to send photos. This property is poorly maintained. The owner mentioned that the previous tenant had "cracked" the front door jamb. Someone had literally kicked the door in. There was ONE out of 4 very loose screws keeping this door closed. We were concerned about it blowing open, let alone someone just pushing it open and coming in. It is dangerous for tenants and I should be refunded the additional charge and had considered disputing the rental fees due to the issues if I had time to deal with this mess. Poor experience overall

Hello Shawn, I am sorry for your bad experience you had at my property, I would have loved to hear from you before May 15th. (Your stay was Jan 20th) The only question you had for me was asking for the wifi code. Your daughter texted me during the stay and said she did not know how to keep the fire going. Then they kept the gas heater on high the rest of her stay. This heather is to keep the pipes from freezing. If they had built a fire they would have been cozy warm and not needed anything else running. There is no HVAC system, it is a wood stove. The cots as stated in the listing are for children only. There is one queen bed (yes there is no door please look at photos) and that is in the listing as well. The main heat is wood stove that is in listing. The guests did turn off all my heat at check out to the cabin when they left causing all pipes to freeze and break. The toilet was frozen solid sinks, showers etc. How can you do this to someones house and not check on a place you are responsible for? I would have loved to help you or them at any time during the stay. I am sorry you didn't reach out or call, I would have been happy to assist. I did the best I could with the few texts I had from your daughter. (I stayed there for a month prior to her stay and guests also checked in after. ) I hope you enjoyed your time snowmobiling and enjoying our beautiful mountains, Be well, - Erin

Absolutely delightful! Perfect location ~ quiet neighborhood & lovely walk to Sandpoint’s downtown! Warm & welcoming; comfortable & cozy with an open kitchen & sitting area, fireplace & small deck off of bedroom plus a first floor ”mud room” with plenty of space for your play ‘gear’ ~ ski, snowshoe, hike, swim! Amazing stay
The area was amazing, exactly what we were wanting for our Christmas stay. Our dogs had a blast in the front and backyard. We went sledding in the street right in front of the cabin. Neighbors were super friendly. We walked about a block to see the most amazing views. It was a great getaway.

Perfect launch to Indian Peaks Wilderness hike!
Perfect accommodations for an overnight before heading up to Crater Lake early the next morning. Big family room to sit and visit, as well as prepare our packs. Grill worked great for our tasty per-hike dinner of cheeseburgers and kitchen was spacious and well equipped for food prep. Nice and quiet location.

Peaceful and relaxing. Although not on the water, the trade-off was the quiet setting with hardly any traffic. A nice place to walk and see beautiful views. And still close to town and the Lake. The cabin is very nice and well-stocked. Sunny front porch and a nice breezeway and big yard.

I should read a little better
The cabin itself wasn’t bad, I was just disappointed with the location. I thought we would be able to see the mountains & lake, but we really couldn’t. Neighbors were a little close, & the whole area was older & not well maintained. We still managed to enjoy ourselves.

It was ok
The location was probably the best part about the cabin. When we got there, there were crumbs on the carpet, so I got the vacuum out and vacuumed the floor. The vacuum barely worked, so I'm not sure if the carpet was dirty from not being vacuumed, or the vacuum just didn't work. There was also hair on the drain in the shower. After that, I doubted the cleanliness of the rest of the cabin. The couches are worn out and weren't too comfortable. The door in the living room was open a few inches, we found that it has to be deadlocked or it will not stay closed. The neighbors were ok, except for one night, a Tuesday night, when the neighbors across the backyard had a loud parry until about midnight.

Thank you for your review! I have fired my cleaning crew and we have new a one! I have new sofas I had another guest complain about them as well. Haven’t had a neighbor complaint before so will make note.

Perfect Location
This place was perfect for the three of us. I loved the backyard, it’s hilly and reminds me of being in the woods. The fire pit was perfect. I’m a clean freak so, I did a good wipe down when we got there but, it is a small cabin in the mountains. We are Colorado natives and this may be the reason we enjoyed the backyard so much. I’m was a little reserved about using the comforter, with COVID I wasn’t 100% sure if this is washed in between guests. Also, the small closet that provide linens can be a little bit more organized, it didn’t seem like there were extra pillow cases?? Maybe I should have dug around more but we try not to touch what we don’t plan to use. I’m think overall, it was a great place to stay! I’d like to go back. Thanks for hosting us!

Great little Cabin close to town.
Had a great stay in this cute little cabin. They had everything we needed and was very close to Grand Lake if we needed things from store in town. Loved the covered back porch too. Very comfy at home feeling.

Lovely Little Cabin

Overall it's rustic but good location to town and hiking.
The springs on olive couch are shot, the igniter on grill doesn't work, back yard has lots of holes so walking there is tough, toilet rocks when you sit. But as a mountain property, it's not bad.
