Amazing property
We spent 2 nights on the property and had a great time. The decor and atmosphere of the cabin are very inviting and comfortable. The cabin was very well stocked throughout. The views are spectacular to say the least. Wonderful place and we will definitely return.

Perfect Winter Mountain Getaway
This house was exactly as pictured and described: cozy, incredible views, spotless, and arguably the most well stocked kitchen of a vrbo home. It provided the perfect jumping off point to experience all of Grand Lake’s winter activities: ice fishing, RMNP, snowmobiling, ice skating. The check-in process was seamless and communication with the owner was timely and he was very responsive. We will absolutely be back to Grand Lake and, without hesitation, will stay here. Just a perfect mountain getaway.

Living in a Hallmark movie
Breathtaking views, cozy feel, fully equipped, clean, comfortable beds, and incredible location minutes from the Rocky Mountain National Park. Small town vibe with Christmas tree lighting made us feel as if we were in a Hallmark movie🤗It was amazing. Would love to have the opportunity to go back! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Short stay and only two of us, so we didn’t use any of the lower level or the kitchen, even though it was well stocked. Beautiful view from the deck, clean and comfortable interior, perfect location for visiting RMNP from the west entrance. Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was perfect!
This house was exactly what we expected it to be and more!! Such a great location. Minutes from the Main Street in Grand Lake which made shopping and eating out VERY convenient!! Right at the entrance of RMNP! We hiked and kayaked! And had great meals at the house too! The kitchen was very well stocked and we had many laughs around the kitchen island, out on the deck and around the fire pit!! Would definitely book this same house again if we go back to this same location!!

One of the best rental homes we have stayed at. Exceeded our expectations. Very clean, kitchen well stocked with supplies and equipment, wonderful lake views, lovely balconies upstairs and downstairs, tub and shower in both bathrooms, very comfy and relaxing upstairs living area. Breathtaking views, lovely cabin, great experience
The cabin sits up high with amazing views of Shadow Mountain Lake and the surrounding foothills & mountains. From the front porch and the swing at the front of the property, you can see Grand Lake. The town of Grand Lake is walking distance, though the hill that provides those great views is pretty steep, so it might not be walking distance for everyone. On arrival, check-in was very easy and the cabin was immaculately clean. It lives up to the photos and is probably even a bit nicer than I expected. My family of five had a wonderful time here and would love to come back again.

Scenic Views!
This property was perfect for our family stay. It was within walking distance of Grand Lake Lodge where we attended a wedding. We were pleased to find lots of coffee and condiments and spices provided. A very well stocked kitchen.

Family Gathering
Our children are all adults now, and we’re pretty geographically spread out, so we have started picking places to go for short family vacations as alternatives to meeting up at each other’s homes. The Lazy Bear Ranch was perfect spot for Rocky Mountain getaway. Well maintained and appointed cabin with awesome views. Great location with things to do in the small town of Grand Lake and near RMNP entrance. Owners were always quick to answer questions. All in all, just great place. Would love to stay again.

Wonderful, well kept cabin with outstanding wrap around views
This has to be one of our top rental houses that we’ve stayed at in our 10 years of taking trips to the Rockies. Great location for a family of five like ours. Wonderfully decorated with attention to detail and the porch and view have to be one of the best in the Grand Lake area. We will definitely choose to stay here again if back in the area.

Wonderful stay, very relaxing
My family had a wonderfully relaxing several days. My kids had a great time playing the games that are available and exploring. They enjoyed the cowboy room and moose room. The kitchen was excellently stocked. The views were great and we all enjoyed watching the weather change over the lake and sunsets from the back deck. We really appreciate this property being made available and look forward to chances to revisit in the future.

We didn’t want to leave!
This was actually our second time renting this house if that tells you anything. Our family of 4 stayed here about 6-7 years ago and we had such a magical time in Grand Lake/RMNP during that vacation, that we decided to do it over again this year! The house is just as described and Gilbert is absolutely fantastic to work with. And the views from the deck are simply breathtaking!! Our kids (11yo and 14yo) loved having the downstairs area to themselves so it was a win-win for all. Grand Lake holds a special place in our family’s hearts and this house does now too!

Great Grand Lake Property for Family
We had a spectacular stay at this great luxury cabin in Grand Lake. Not only is there a stunning view of Shadow Mountain Lake from the front porch and window, but the cabin is well stocked and perfectly situated for a family to enjoy a great getaway to Grand Lake and the surrounding area. We had three generations staying in the cabin - grandparents, parents, and young children (an infant included). The layout and bedroom/bathroom setup were ideal, and the communal areas were great for our family to gather and take care throughout the day. We really enjoyed this cabin and will definitely stay here again next time we come to Grand Lake. As a bonus, access to the west side entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park couldn't be easier (seasonality dependent, of course).

Beautiful House - Amazing Views - Perfect Location
We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay at The Lazy Bear rental. What a great house with plenty of room, mountain themes/decor, a quick drive to town or Rocky Mountain National Park. Fabulous. We did have a need to communicate with the owner a couple of times and they were prompt and thorough in addressing things. Highly recommend this property and Grand Lake in general.

Great Grand Lake Cottage
We thoroughly enjoyed the Grand Lake portion of our Rocky Mountain National Park. The cabin is located just minutes from the west/Grand Lake entrance to RMNP, which made it so easy to enjoy the less crowded west side of the park. The cabin was equally conveniently located to the town of Grand Lake, which allowed us to take advantage of all this charming town has to offer. The layout of the cabin was perfect for our family because the two basement bedrooms allowed the late sleepers (the teenagers!) to have greater peace and quiet. The views from the decks were amazing.

Great place, lengthy checkout process.
The place was wonderful. Well stocked, cute, roomy. We had a great time. One thing I would say is that the checkout process is involved and lengthy, especially for a 10am checkout. It was a lot more involved than any other rental property my friends and I have stayed at. I also don’t remember it said anywhere that we had to pay for the trash when we take it into town. Someone in my party ended up just taking it back to Denver with them. There’s not a lot of time in the morning to enjoy your stay before needing to start the lengthy checkout process, so for a 1 night 4pm checkin and 10am checkout, it was a little stressful and felt like we didn’t get much time to actually enjoy the property. It’s a fantastic house though.
