Shehan, his wife and young son make Saubagya Inn an excellent choice for a stay at Anuradhapura. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, the bathroom good and the a/c worked well in the hot weather when I stayed. The Guesthouse was about around 40 years ago and with a large, covered veranda makes for very relaxing ‘down time’. Shehan speaks good English and is trained and trains in hospitality. Our room was very handy for the pool and the restaurant and was reasonably quiet. The manager and staff were very courteous and helpful and the manager was able to arrange a Safari at late notice and a tuktuk guide for the ancient city. The Safari guide Zion was excellent as was his driver. The tuktukguide Kumar was also very good.
