Great Weekend Away

We stayed on this property over the President’s Day holiday weekend. It was a clean, spacious, updated apartment in a great location! Walking distance to many shops, restaurants, breweries with live music and even the river. The snacks that were stocked and basic kitchen goods were a nice extra as well. Dedicated parking and free laundry were appreciated too!

Nice spot for young family

We visited for a long weekend with two young kids. Rooms were spacious and easily fit our pack n play. Nice one level which was easy for the kids to play. The floors especially could’ve been a little cleaner but we were really only there to sleep and for a couple of meals. Great access to everything in the area. We walked almost everywhere!

Excellent Location

This was our second time staying at this vrbo and we have only good things to say. The location is perfect as it overlooks the main street with all of the restaurants and shops. There is an assigned parking spot which is right near the entry door so unloading the car was very convenient. Everything we needed was already there, just make sure to bring your own beach towels. The owners were very friendly and even stopped by with some treats for our family. We’ll be back!

Cute place. Open concept was nice. The location was great! Was thinking it was going to be loud being that it is above a little store in downtown but it wasn’t. Night time was quiet and I loved the black out drapes. Plenty of kitchen supplies for every meal you want to make. The only complaint I have is the housekeeping that was done before our arrival was bad. The coffee pot still had coffee in the pot and coffee grounds and filter still in it.Both the carpet in the living area and the back bedroom were not vacuumed. And We went to use the Dyson that was provided but it did not work.So overall, the place was exactly what we were looking for and we loved our stay.But The cleaning needs to be improved on.

Return Visit

We have stayed at this wonderful apartment three times, and it is always perfect. Very clean, and well layed out, with a wonderful little lanei that overlooks all the activity on the main downtown street of Grand Haven. Everything is within a short walking distance away, including restaurants and shopping. Grand Haven has some wonderful culinary experiences in it's lovely (and some historic) restaurants. The apartment is well-stocked with everything that you could need. I do have one desire, and that would be to see a new, updated coffee pot that provides not only a traditional dripped full cup of coffee, but also a K-Cup side to it to be able to make just a single cup. So many times I'd like to just sit down to a nice cup of warm coffee, and it's too hard to make just one in the full pot. One other wish would be some throw blankets that are a bit smaller than the large comforters provided, just to be able to toss over yourself while watching TV to be nice and cozy. If there were any smaller ones there, we apparently missed seeing them. But this was a great experience. We have stayed during winter months each time, but it would also be a great apartment to watch the world of summertime visitors pass under your lanei. It was all-in-all a great experience in a beautiful place.

Great location, mediocre accomodations

We read a lot amazing reviews which led my family to select this apartment, however our experience matched the lower rated scores. To start with some positives, the location for this apartment was great- right in the middle of the downtown Grand Haven area. Parking was also included, however not all instructions were provided prior to check in. Another car had parked in our designated area initially, and we were not told how to reserve the spot until we reached out to the owner. The owner responded quickly, however this information prior to checking in would have been appreciated. Despite being charged a cleaning fee, this place was really dirty upon check in, as if it were not cleaned. We have two small children and their hands and toes were black from the dirt within minutes of crawling around. Lots of dust and crumbs were littered throughout the place, and we had to vacuum and do some cleaning ourselves shortly after check in. Extra amenities such as dish soap and paper towels were lacking, and two very dirty sponges were sitting out to be used. There was a leaky kitchen faucet and someone put a ziplock bag around the leak. In the bathroom, the tub did not have a working a drain stopper and we had trouble giving our kids a bath. All in all, the rental charged a premium price for an adequate (albeit dirty) unit in a great location.
