the place was so serene and beautiful. couldn't have asked
for a better place to stay. it was everything and more. Just a beautiful and relaxng place to stay.
Wonderful place, cabin had anything I needed, communication with hosts was easy. A great place to spend a weekend reading or drawing with easy access to hiking.
This cottage is nicely furnished and comfortable. Be sure to read the owners' desriptions carefully, however, as it is on a steep hill surrounded by trees, up above Half Moon Pond.
I loved this cabin so much I didn't want to leave! I'm an outdoor enthusiast, so this secluded and picturesque location was a perfect fit for me. I also really enjoyed kayaking on the pond and hiking the trails. Sheryl and Philippe were so nice and accommodating! And their cat is really cute too.
Beautiful property perfect for our women's weekend. Owner is reslonsive and close by, but far enough away that it was private. Great hiking nearby. Loved kayaking on the pond. Nature walk, yoga and guided meditation in the morning was just what we needed. Definitely recommend!!!
The cabin is a wonderful getaway in the woods on a beautiful quiet pond. Just a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine on the dock, read a book and swim or kayak. The cabin is new, well stocked and has a screened porch for meals, puzzling or reading. Great fire pit (although we were there during a hot summer week). We will definitely be back. Lovely host!
What a great little oasis in the woods & great place to reset from the day in and day out!
Sheryl & Phil were great Hosts! Cabin was clean, well situated and all expectations were met, with eco friendliness in mind. With the attention to detail, history of construction and renters guide, you're sure to enjoy the great outdoors in a quite, remote location.
Looking forward to a return visit, during more favorable weather to enjoy all Crescent Moon Cabin has to offer!
The cabin is secluded, clean, and well equipped. I stayed for three nights with my three sons ages 8 to 16. Even though it mostly rained we still had a great time watching movies, playing games, enjoying the fire pit, kayaking, and cooking our favorite meals. The rain kept us from doing much exploring through the trails around the woods, but we still had an enjoyable stay in the cabin. The hosts are lovely people. Cheryl baked us cookies.
Property was actually in far better condition than i was expecting. Everything was clean and spotless when I arrived. Check in was really simple. My only complaint about my stay had nothing to do with the property or the property manager. Just some bad luck with timing. One of the homes across the lake were doing construction. My second day was filled with banging and power tool sounds. Other than that it was peaceful and quiet. Enjoyed taking the kayak out on the lake. Sheryl even lent me a fishing pole when i mentioned i forgot to bring mine. Checking out was also very simple. I would definitely stay here again.
Very clean cabin with small well equipped kitchen.
Overall indoor layout and size was perfect with room to spare for a family of four. A lot of little things that add to comfort. Dock size was sufficient as well and pond is lovely and clean. Not a lot of neighbors. Plenty of things to do around the cabin if you are looking for authentic NH wilderness experience. I suggest reading info provided by hosts, talking to them and taking their advice in the matters. With their help we had a blast! Not to mention a collection of board games, puzzles, etc supplied for a rainy day! I definitely agree with needing 4 wheel drive vehicle to reach the cabin. And don’t forget your weapons of choice against mosquitoes.
WOW! Need I say more?
Hosts - Top Notch
Accommodations- Top Notch (read before you book)
Location - Quiet and Serene
Amenities- Hiking, Water, kayaking, fire pit, wildlife
Sheryl and Philip are the best hosts. I had an issue booking (my own fault) and they were on it with no questions. Everything you need except drinking water (but who cares, 2 gallons a head is like $7 ea). Quiet. Kayaking is awesome. Hike to waterfall, rate it a 10. Clean and comfy. Beautifully built and decorated wood structure. Outdoor shower is really cool. Wildlife abound.
Come here to relax, release, and turn the hustle and bustle off.
Your stay is very deep in the NH wilderness. Just remember that and you’ll love it!
Will come again!
Love love love this cabin. It was the prefect time of year. The foliage was gorgeous. The lake was gorgeous. The kayaking was wonderful. We found the face in the woods. The hosts were wonderful. Basically, i can't wait to go back!
The cabin was clean and inviting. Is a great get away for peace an quiet. Pond is great for paddle boarding or kayaking, and trails to hike. Allowed us to have a relaxing get away that was much needed. Would definitely go back.
I could not love this place more! I was looking for a quiet getaway and this cabin was perfect. Beautiful area, wonderful pond and dock area, the cabin itself was cozy with everything I needed. I love that the owners were nearby if I needed anything yet, far enough away to not be intrusive. Sheryl and Phillipe couldn't have been nicer. Hope to be back at some point!
So private! The busiest day on the pond, we may have encountered 10 other people. The rest of the time was perfect solitude. The description of the property is accurate and exactly what we were looking for. Thank you for hosting us and helping us celebrate!
This was simply perfect. We came to celebrate my partners birthday. A weekend away no kids no work no exes. Just peace and love. This cabin is incredible
We love NH, one of our favorite states. We were looking to be near a lake/water and this hit the spot. Private dock with kayaks just for us to use. From the moment we got there, it felt comfortable. The cabin was perfect, loved the special touches, such as the plants, and beautiful flowers welcoming us. We use vrbo a lot and I have to say this was one of the best ones, the owners made you feel welcome. Great place to unplug and enjoy nature.
Very private, clean. Compost toilet, with stool to climb up on, that host must enter cabin every 2 days to perform toilet maintenance. Did not see instructions anywhere upon arrival that we were to go to host’s home next door to pick up keys. Recommend that is stated on web site or displayed prominently upon entry. Screened in porch would be better utilized if comfortable outdoor lounge furniture was present. Internet only worked on porch for us. Otherwise nice cabin.
Definitely rural, make sure to read the listing instructions thoroughly before booking. Outdoor shower, non-flushing toilet, and water pressure come with the property but added to the adventure in our minds. Everything was very clean, we were comfortable throughout our stay because we were prepared based on the listing description!
We were two friends glamping and were very glad to discover the Crescent Moon, a beautiful and eco friendly cabin.
This is a beautiful cabin in a remote area, perfect to enjoy the nature while being very comfortable. Its a recent construction and we can feel the love that has been put in the project. The spot will charm you with its perks and nicely furnished spaces, plus there is plenty of outside spots to hang out (most of them protected from mosquitos).
Sheryl and Philippe did a wonderful work by building this little house that bounds perfectly with the environment, you won't regret visiting this gem!
This rustic cabin nestled into towering trees was a welcome retreat from a busy lifestyle. The back screened porch & an area midway to the lake was a safe zone from the mosquitoes. We also enjoyed the peaceful dock area & kayaking. The hosts were very hospitable & communication with them was easy. My only negative was that the toilet was not ideal. I appreciate the eco-friendliness of the cabin but I would’ve preferred a different option. But, I loved how close to nature I felt there. It was like we were a part of it. It was so quiet & serene. I’m glad we went.
