We’ve been a repeat guests for Sejong. Really appreciate the hotel’s cleanliness and amenities. The room was clean, even housekeeping did a good job when we requested for our bed to be made. The only thing that didn’t change is the worker’s union protest, that seems on-going even before covid. Fortunately, they didn’t bother hotel guests but get a bit crowded when the protest at the lobby though.

Great little place right in the heart of Myeongdong. The staff are super-helpful, everything is clean and immaculately maintained, and the location (literally 2-3 mins walk from the station) couldn’t be better. It does look a little hostel-ey when you first arrive but don’t let that put you off - everything is spot on and you dactyl what you need in a hotel.

I booked this property for three nights, but I ended up leaving after one night. I should have known when I saw it informed me to check in via a machine... The rooms are small. The bathrooms are small and awkward, with the sink outside of the bathroom. Yes, they will refresh towels and trash daily, but actual room cleaning is only once every three days. And the elevators are absolutely atrocious. I had to wait 15-20 minutes just to get an elevator. It was a mistake to stay here, and I won't do it again.

The location is right in the heart of Myeongdong, very close to all the shops, but the rooms are quite small. The hotel is situated in a commercial building, with its entrance tucked away in a small lane, which makes it quite difficult to find at first. Additionally, at night, the lane is often lined with bags of rubbish, and there are usually people smoking right in front of the entrance. There are also a few stairs at the entrance, so you’ll need to carry your luggage when checking in and out. There is also no front desk service between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. In case of an emergency during the night, you would need to wait until the next morning for assistance. We experienced a clogged toilet on our first night. Since there was no front desk available, we had to wait until the next morning for it to be fixed. As a result, we couldn’t use the toilet overnight, which caused an unpleasant smell. However, once the staff arrived in the morning, they were very nice and helpful. Aside from the toilet incident, the hotel is generally acceptable for the price we paid. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly and convenient place to stay, it could still be a reasonable option.
