  • Oceanfront 2 bedroom 2 bath- glassfront house overlooking the Atlantic ocean- Ocean views from every room. White/pink sand beach-walk for miles in powder soft sand either way- you probably wont see anyone else!!
    Walk down the stairs to your own beach with fantastic snorkeling reefs. The house is air conditioned, 2 miles from the Governors Harbour Airport and 10 minutes from Governors Harbour settlement with grocery stores, liquor stores, restaurants and gas stations.

Wonderful property with beautiful views of the ocean from the back of the house that is all sliding glass doors. Lounge chairs on back deck made sunbathing and star gazing perfect. Very comfy beds, pillows and furniture. Lots of clean towels for bath & beach. Barbi is very professional and responsive. Excellent to work with. Overall a perfect stay.

Perfect beach getaway

The property was fantastic - and perfect for a beach getaway. The views from the house are truly spectacular. Wow this place is awesome!!

Wow! This is truly an amazing place! The location, the view of the ocean from the house, and the house itself was beautiful! We had the beach all to ourselves and took long walks, snorkeled, did some fishing and relaxed by the ocean. We stargazed on the deck in the evening! The house had everything we needed and our host was very responsive when we reached out with any questions, and very easy to work with. We would highly recommend staying here - we were sad to leave! You won’t be disappointed!

A blissful dream

We absolutely LOVED our stay the property and on Eleuthera! This home was perfect for exactly what we were seeking- peace, isolation, ocean front. We are active adventurers and divers so the home was perfectly situated where we could access both the north and the south parts of the island. (If you are a diver, go diving with Chad Sinden down in Cape Eleuthera!) The home had everything we could need to cook and be comfortable while also giving us access to a gorgeous windswept beach on the atlantic side. The beds were very comfortable and the AC and Wifi worked perfectly. This is one of our favorite homes we've ever stayed at and we travel a lot!

Incredible oceanfront stay!

The pictures don’t do this beautiful house justice. Incredible 180 degree Atlantic view from the spacious main room and deck. House has a great floorplan with a large shared living/kitchen/dining space and two bedrooms on either end. Place was spotless, and all the screens worked for bug protection - a rarity on Eleuthera. Good snorkeling on the reef out front and to the left of the house. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great house in a great location!

This house and the other one next door that Barbi owns, Bonefish Barbi’s, are both wonderful vacation homes. They’re clean, comfortable and convenient to the airport, Governors Harbour, and other places on the island if you have a car and are inclined to explore. Barbi is very responsive to questions and. Is very easy to work with. After staying in many other places around Governors Harbour over the years, these two houses have been my favorites, which is why I keep coming back to them.

Beautiful Villa with gorgeous views

My wife and I spent a wonderful week here and we were thrilled with the amenities and the beautiful views. We traveled the entire length of Eleuthera during our visit and the location of this villa is our favorite place on the island. You will most likely have the beach to yourself as I only saw a few people during our whole week. We will definitely stay here again when we return. Thanks Again

Beautiful Location, Perfect!

This house was beautiful, sitting perched above a lovely beach. There was constant wind with the sound of the ocean and waves crashing on the beach. Nice breeze - although we were there when there was a weather event so it was a bit abnormally windy. We only used the air conditioner once, just to get a little humidity out. The breezes kept us cool. Centrally located to get to great beaches and supplies within 20 minutes north or south. Highly recommend.

Lovely stay

Wonderful VRBO rental! Gorgeous views and close to multiple beaches. Excellent tips given by owner, who was super easy to communicate with. We rented a car from Byron, i would highly recommend him for a car rental. One thing i would recommend is do not use Southern Air if you are flying over from Nassau! They cancel flights frequently and we ended up needing to leave very early in the day instead of at noon, on another airlines, due to Southern Air canceling their flights on the day of our departure. Would definitely come back!

Eleuthera get away 2023

This place is in an amazing location mid way down the island. Snorkel equipment for all 4 of us, beach chairs towels and a cooler for our day trips made our days on the island the ultimate relaxing experience. The views from inside as well as on the deck were breathtaking. The house , kitchen and grill as well as internet service all worked great. I would highly recommend Barbara's place to anyone looking for a very relaxing getaway. This place is ideal for two couples with plenty of privacy with bedrooms and bathrooms on opposite ends of the house.

Great views, great house owner

We (my wife and myself) stayed 30 days in Jan/Feb 2024 in Barbi's beach house. A great place and the response of Barbi (we had questions on minor things) was unbelievable. She reacts within minutes or even seconds. The house was clean, water pressure was great, not even one time we had elecitricity items. We can recomment this villa to everyone (although a bit difficult, we want to come back and this place is very popular, so hard to book...). Especially the beach on the left is unbelievable. No houses, no people, like a deserted island. We had our portable bbq and have eaten there serveral times. Thanks Barbi!!!!

Perfect for us.

This was our second time to Eleuthera, but first at this house. We were not disappointed. The house is relatively new, nicely laid out, and in good condition. It was stocked well with everything we needed for the beach. The house is located on a really nice and secluded stretch of beach - very few houses, very few people, and you can walk a long way. There was minimal trash on the beach, and the water is crystal clear with a nice sandy bottom and small waves. The location is great for access to restaurants and groceries, being about halfway between Governors Harbor and James Cistern. Driving on Eleuthera is always a challenge so the location helped. I guess my only knock is that the deck chairs are uncomfortable and difficult to adjust. Otherwise I would highly recommend.

Stunning relaxation

The property sits up high and presents a stunning view if the ocean and beach. Only saw a few people at a time up and down the beach. Loved the open center concept. Having full kitchen and a grill that lit quickly and easily every time made preparing meals and snacks a breeze. The beds were quite noisy as others have noted, and the lounge chairs are about ready to be replaced. The paloma on the beach looked like it could have been a good place to while away the time during the day, but the vegetation hasn't been cut back in a while. The property is probably best for a couple or small family (2 bedrooms). The outside showers were an invigorating treat after coming up from the beach. The complimentary snorkel equipment was much appreciated and used to explore the rocks and offshore reef. Very private, secluded and relaxing. Exactly what was needed on this vacation. Enjoyed our stay, would stay again

Escape to the Beach

We rented a car from the caretaker (Byron) at the North Eleuthera Airport and found the house easily. The driveway is steep, but we made it with no issues. When we got out of the car our initial reaction was "WOW!" since you can see the ocean as you walk in. We found the house clean and ready for us. We unloaded groceries and unpacked to get down to the beach before it got too late. You may want to workout a bit on the stairmaster before you arrive to be ready for the 60 steps to the beach. You will climb them many times a day as the beach in front of the house was great. We spent a lot of time at "our" beach, but also at Alabaster Bay Beach and Navy Beach, both of which are very close. We often ate lunch out (when we went out, but you don't have to) and made dinner at the house. The kitchen was well appointed and made meal preparation easy. We lost power for about 12 hours one evening as most of Governor's Harbor was out too. No big deal, the refrigerator stayed cold and city water allowed the toilets/sinks to operate. Make it a point to check out the moon and stars when it is mostly clear, they are incredible. If the wind does die down, be prepared for some small biting gnats. They are easily repelled with a Deet based bugspray or bug repellant clothing. They are not an issue if the wind is blowing. We used the washer and dryer and they worked well. Byron was very helpful. Overall, we had a great time at Bootsie's Beach Break, we just have to figure out when we can return!
