Fantastic Custom Mountain Cabin w/ Lodge Vibes, Hot Tub, Home Theater
This absolutely amazing five-bedroom Government Camp vacation rental has something for everyone in your whole group as it offers a private hot tub, high-end amenities like a home theater, and is within walking distance to the lifts at Mt. Hood Skibowl! This ultimate lodge comfortably sleeps 12 guests making it the ideal getaway for extended family reunions or corporate retreats!
It is perfectly located less than a block from the Mt. Hood Cultural Center & Museum and within walking distance to family-friendly eateries. In winter, you're within 12 miles of three popular ski resorts including Mt. Hood Skibowl, Timberline Lodge, and Mt. Hood Meadows.
Inside is simply breathtaking. You'll enjoy unique accents like tree limb stair railings and handmade artisan tile in the kitchen. The main floor's tall, cathedral, wood beam ceilings will make you feel like you are in your own private ski lodge. This great room has space for everyone to gather and socialize.
The floor-to-ceiling fireplace has a custom concrete hearth - you'll definitely stay nice and cozy here as you enjoy the views of Mt. Hood Skibowl right from the windows. Take a seat on the sectional sofa while you sip hot cocoa, listen to music on the stereo, and make plans for the following day.
In total, SnoPlace offers an impressive three full baths and five bedrooms, plus a loft to easily accommodate 12 guests.
The large dining room table has spots for 12, with more seats right at the breakfast bar. And because this space has an open floor plan, you can still enjoy the fireplace while eating dinner or even putting dishes away.
When it is time to use the kitchen, the chef in your group will delight in the local artist-made custom tile, beautiful cabinetry, and spacious butcher block counters. Additionally, there are gadgets for just about every culinary undertaking - an espresso maker, mixer, blender, slow cooker, French press, coffee grinder, and a toaster. If you need to look something up online, you'll have WiFi access throughout the home.
This main level also has two primary bedrooms - one with a double bed, while the other has a queen, and beautiful decorative touches like snowshoe decorations and timber post bed frames. The additional three bedrooms and the loft sleeping area are located upstairs. Here, you'll have two queen beds, three twins, and two futons.
In the evenings, you'll want to make your way down to the bottom floor to the home theater room. This space has a wood stove, TV, DVD library, Netflix streaming, and lots of seating. There's a wet bar with concrete counters with inlaid snowflake designs and a foosball table for the kids. The floors are even heated cement in case you forget your slippers up in your bedroom!
Descending downstairs, you'll have access to the backyard, a ski tuning room, a mud room for hanging up wet clothing to dry, and a laundry room. All of the comforts of home, and then some! Out on the deck of this Mt. Hood vacation rental, there's a gas grill and a relaxing outdoor hot tub. Have a barbecue in nice weather and a soak in the tub, no matter what the season. Just sit back and enjoy the stunning mountain views as the bubbling water works on those sore muscles.
This prime Government Camp location will allow you to easily walk to town and visit restaurants like the Glacier Haus Bistro for pints of beer and Hungarian goulash, or pick up a to-go pizza at The Ratskeller and enjoy it back at home in front of that great room fireplace. You can also head to Govy General Store for basic supplies and even a rotisserie chicken and some spirits from an Oregon craft distillery.
When it's time to head down the mountain on your skis or snowboard, Mt. Hood Meadows is 11 miles away, Timberline Lodge is just under six miles to the northeast, while Mt. Hood Skibowl is only a mile up the road. This location is also ideal for other winter sports like snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing.
In summer, the mountains are alive with wildflowers, as well as hiking and biking trails! There are nearby rivers for fishing or take a scenic chair lift ride up the mountain at Timberline Lodge.
This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring pools or spas, or on the interior of the house.
This Mt. Hood vacation rental is ideal for a celebration or getaway with family and friends. You'll have three levels of living space, with room for everyone to relax and socialize, with lovely views of Mt. Hood!

This was a fantastic home for a family trip to Government Camp and Mt Hood. Just up the hill from town, it was a great base for hiking and biking and rafting, and a great place to come home to for dinners, watch the Olympics and rejuvenate in the hot tub. Well stocked kitchen, clean house; really could not have been better!
Property is gorgeous located walking distance to Government Camp. Home is very clean and well supplied. If you plan to cook in though you need to get your groceries before teaching Government Camp, the store there is small.
This rental was fantastic! Two very large group areas well furnished. Beds were comfy! Very large dining area table with 10 chairs. Well stocked kitchen. Easy walk into town. Very clean! Thank you to the owners for sharing their great home!
We loved this cabin. We had 12 people including several small children and there was plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was full stocked, better than any other rental I have stayed in. The location was great! The place was clean. Hot tub was nice and beds comfy. I wish I could give it five stars but the WIFI was barely functional and intermittent. The customer service was outstanding. However, they were not able to help solve the internet issue despite a couple attempts. It seems only Century Link is available in Govt Camp so perhaps that is the problem. We would definitely stay here again though as it had a great setup!!!
Our family group of 2 seniors, 6 middle age, 1 child & 2 infants for 8 nights. It snowed the first 4 days and we were cold.
The 2 wood fireplaces worked great with lots of wood available. The middle level floor had radiant heat which was slow to warm up. The wall heaters didn’t work. We kept the fires going & got the middle floor up to 62 after 4 days. That was definitely not comfortable.
The bedrooms were great, extra blankets available. Upstairs had missing window treatments. Bathrooms were immaculate but only had 1 roll of tp each. One toilet ran unless you take the lid off and the tub faucet is broken. The kitchen was well stocked. The refrigerator needs some attention, but it was clean.
We had a big problem with housekeeping. The floor was absolutely disgusting. Anything that wasn’t carpeted was gross. Thankfully, we arrived first and spent the first 2.5 hrs sweeping and hand mopped (the sponge mop didn’t work well) the bottom 2 floors, some areas twice. The throw rugs are well worn, the largest on the bottom floor was very dirty, like spilled liquids on it. The couch on the bottom floor had vomit on it.
We did contact the number that was listed & they offered to come clean again but by that time almost everything was dealt with. They brought pie and wine. I wanted to speak with the owners, but was not given any contact info. There are a few things that could make this place excellent. We are not picky people but this was too much. Even our guests made comments.
I booked this lovely cabin for a reunion with friends and it was the perfect spot to relax and hangout. The fully stocked kitchen made for easy meal prep and the hot tub was a hit. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and the check-in process was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again!
Everyone had the best time with family and in the snow.

Comfortable Summer Getaway
We had a wonderful time at SnoPlace relaxing with family and friends. Lots of space, fireplace for cozy evenings, hot tub, grill, big screen - this place has it all.
We had an issue with the dishwasher, but the team responded right away.

Great cabin and great service!
The cabin was amazing and there were enough beds to sleep all the people in our group! The only issue we had were gnats that were in one room on all the windows. We called iTrip and they were very responsive in sending a cleaning person to kill the gnats. But for some reason, they just left the body there. So itrip had to send a 2nd cleaner to clean the bodies. iTrip was very attentive and responsive to our concern which is why I'm still leaving 5 stars! The owners also provided board games, fire woods, pots, pans, and other things that I did not expect for them to provide so that was a pleasant surprise! Hot tub also felt amazing and it was nice and clean. Would definitely visit here again!
