About this property
Adventure and Ski All Day, Sip, Soak, and Relax at Night in the Heart of Government Camp
Bow Roof Basecamp – Your Mt. Hood Adventure Starts Here
Welcome to Bow Roof Basecamp, a cozy mountain retreat tucked among the towering evergreens of Government Camp. This cabin consists of two separate spaces: a main cabin and a studio. In the main cabin, there are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a full kitchen. In the studio portion of the cabin, which is accessed via outside stairs and separate entrance, there is a sleeping area with queen sized bed, a full bathroom, and a full kitchen. While you will see two separate hot tubs in the photos, note that only one hot tub is serviced and heated. The other is shut down seasonally and only rebooted in the event of an unexpected disruption to the primary hot tub. Bow Roof Basecamp is the perfect home base for families and friends exploring Mt. Hood.
Inside, classic cabin character meets modern comfort. Warm wood ceilings, exposed beams, hardwood floors, and large windows create an inviting mountain atmosphere. After a day outside, settle into the comfortable living room, warm up beside the wood-burning stove, or gather around the dining table for dinner and games.
Two fully equipped kitchens (upstaris & studio) offers plenty of space to prepare meals at home, while the home's unique bow-roof architecture gives the upper level plenty of personality. Flexible sleeping arrangements, including bunk beds, make the home especially well suited for groups and families. Outside, relax among the evergreens on the deck and outdoor seating areas, or end the day with a soak in the private hot tub (upstairs only). On-site parking makes it easy to come and go with your group and all your mountain gear.
Best of all, Bow Roof Basecamp puts you close to everything that makes Mt. Hood a year-round destination. Spend winter days skiing, snowboarding, tubing, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing at nearby Mt. Hood Skibowl and Timberline. When the snow melts, explore the area's hiking and mountain biking trails, Trillium Lake, fishing, paddling, and scenic mountain adventures.
Whether you're chasing fresh powder, exploring alpine trails, or simply escaping to the forest for a relaxing weekend, Bow Roof Basecamp is ready to be your home on the mountain.
We’re excited to host you and hope your stay is full of fun and great memories. To keep things peaceful for our wonderful neighbors, we observe quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. During this time, please stay indoors with windows and doors closed, and keep noise at a comfortable indoor level. The home includes a noise‑monitoring system that measures volume only—it simply helps us ensure the neighborhood stays calm and enjoyable for everyone. Thanks for helping us keep this a welcoming place for all guests.
