Cozy Little Red Lodge in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula

This place is amazing! So cozy yet spacious enough to sleep 5-6. The property is located just 5 miles from the waterfront village of Curtis and just 1.9 Miles from one of the many boat launches on the South Manistique and Big Manistique lakes. There is a large yard perfect for cornhole or outdoor activities, etc. (Foot Traffic Only).
There is Ample parking on the property as well as a single car garage for parking your auto or your toys. Guests should avoid parking in front of the red Pole Barn as we occasionally stop in to get supplies.

Close to the waterfont community of Curtis where there is ample parking however during major Holidays such as 4th of July, etc. it can be quite busy in town.

Perfect location

It is a great property to stay it's very clean and has a fire pit and wood supply right at the house. Excellent yard and night sky viewing and convenient location to many local attractions.

Little Red Lodge

Our stay at the Little Red Lodge was very nice. It’s such a cozy place. I love the decor. Very clean and comfortable. The snow was a nice plus. We went to a couple of good places to eat too. We both enjoyed our stay. We love the U.P.

UP exploring

Great base camp for exploring the UP. It was very nice after a long day of driving and site seeing, to come home to a cozy and comfortable cabin in the woods.

Great Place

Husband and I stayed here due to its central location for almost all things Upper Michigan. The home was perfect for us. The host put a lot of work in to providing all the little extras! Even though there is no cell service, the WIFI is very strong! Would stay here again 10 times over!

Cute little lodge

This place looked exactly like the photos. It was clean and well stocked, someone even left wood stacked in the fire pit (which we happily used for a fire one night). The host, Diane, was very helpful and gave some good suggestions for local activities. We would happily stay at the Little Red Lodge again.

The property is very well maintained, and comfortably furnished. Diane was very good about keeping in touch with us. The kitchen was super well stocked, although I somehow missed the fact that there was no dishwasher. The little air conditioning units worked well when it was hot, and the house was well insulated so that it held onto the cool air. The beds were reasonably comfortable, and I was quite pleased with the quality of the bath towels. The shower was easy to figure out and provided comfortable water pressure. This was a terrific place to stay while we visited back on the island and pictured rocks. Would stay here again

A wonderful spot in the UP

This property was very cozy, impressively clean, and central to many things to do. Diane and Allen were great to work with answering all our questions. They even prepared fire wood in the fire pit for us. The cottage is charming and was perfect for our family to explore the UP. Honestly this has been the best experience we’ve ever had on VRBO.

Wonderful stay in the U.P.!

The Little Red Lodge had everything we needed for a great few days in the U.P. of Michigan. Cabin had everything we needed. Bedrooms were nice, kitchen was well stocked, furniture was comfortable. Cabin is centrally located to get to all the attractions in the U.P. Wish that we had an extra day or two to take advantage of the backyard amenities. Hopefully next time. Would definitely stay again

Comfortable Home Base to Explore the UP

My husband, brother-in-law and I traveled to the UP of Michigan to visit family in Germfask. The Little Red Lodge was a perfect spot for us to stay to visit them and to explore several areas of the UP (Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Whitefish Point, Grand Marais, Munising and Seney National Wildlife Refuge). The house was exactly as advertised and had everything we needed. The beds and furniture were comfortable. Although we didn’t get to use it, the host even setup the fire pit with wood for us, a very nice gesture. The hosts were attentive when we contacted them about anything. One thing to note - they do have Wi-Fi, but cell service is spotty to non-existent.

The Little Red Lodge was a wonderful place! We were able to enjoy the outdoor area as well as cozy up inside at times. The owners are very thoughtful and you can tell throughout all the details. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend.

The Little Red Lodge was perfect! Hosts communicated well, lodge was fully stocked with all amenities. It’s centrally located for all attractions we wanted to visit (Kitch-iti-kipi,Fayette, Whitefish Point, Tahquamenon Falls, Soo Locks and Munising. It was perfect for our Honeycation (Honeymoon/Vacation)….we couldn’t have asked for a better week!

Great location. Close to the little town of Curtis and Gould City. Close to an accessible ramp for our fishing boat. Perfect little get-a-way cottage. Communication with owners was very good, friendly & prompt. Small glitch with a popped breaker for hot water, very prompt & fast fix. Very nice fire pit with chairs & tables. The grill was in a good location, easy to use and nice and clean. It was really nice to grill a few meals outside. We are looking forward to another stay next year.
