"Chose this hotel for the free airport shuttle. Easy to sign up, easy to board, timely and efficient. Really appreciated the staff because I when I requested they hold our luggage hours before check in, they chose to find us a room that was ready that matched our reservation. Very professional and something that is so helpful to guests."

"From the moment of our arrival to checkout it was perfect. The staff was friendly, welcoming and professional. The rooms were large and comfortable. There were two cozy chairs and a small, round wooden table in the corner, and a long writing desk with refrigerator and other amenities on one wall. The king size bed was super comfortable. The breakfast buffet was exquisite, and the service there was top notch as well. The location itself is quiet and tranquil. You can get into nearby City Centre easily by bus or taxi. In fact, I walked it several times on the beautiful path Clontarf Promenade. And, of course, for history buffs the hotel is in the general location of the famous 1014 Battle of Clontarf, pitting the great Irish High King Brian Boru against the coalition forces of Leinster and foreign Viking mercenaries. You absolutely cannot go wrong with the Clontarf Castle Hotel. I’m from California and it was my first time in Ireland. I will definitely return."

"Hotel is looking a little tired, could use a bit of freshening up. Room was fine, probably wouldn't cut it as a 4* in North America but typical of other 4* places in Ireland. Gym was decent, looks like it was recently renovated and gear was clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was great. Evening dining doesn't offer much in the way of vegetarian/vegan options (but that won't matter to most), then again, neither did the restaurants across the street in the little village of Tyrrelstown."
