Such a gorgeous place! We spent a week here in August over the Bank Holiday - it was so peaceful.
Such a gorgeous place! We spent a week here in August over the Bank Holiday - it was so peaceful. The cottage is spotless and really beautifully decorated. Hot tub is blissful and not overlooked (in fact there's no one else nearby which was lovely!). A perfect place to gaze at the stars and enjoy a glass of wine.Location wise - we never ventured to the local pub or restaurant - it felt like it was a bit of a trek as the road up to the cottage is dark and very narrow but I imagine you could do it. We ventured a bit further afield for food/drinks. Lots of great places to eat within a 10 mile radius. Lots of coastal walks nearby to blow away the cobwebs. We drove to Tenby, Freshwater and St Davids, all really easy to get to and lovely places to visit. Oakwood theme park is around 40 minutes away and is a fun day out (MUCH less busy than Alton Towers etc and still has some fun thrill rides).Rachel couldn't be more helpful, the info you get sent beforehand it great and we had a lovely welcome pack when we arrived which was really kind. Two MINOR thoughts of which I'm not sure anything can be done:the water pressure is challenging - defintely don't try to shower if the dishwasher is on. You'll be there for hours. I wonder if this is just how it is in this gorgeous rural location but for those who love a steamy hot power shower, I'd lower your expectation, the location is worth a slower shower!Secondly, It would be so handy to have a washing machine. Thankfully we went in the summer where we could hand wash stuff and leave it outside to dry but not sure how this would work in the winter with long, muddy walks. I don't want to do laundry on holiday , however sometimes needs must with kids! All in all, I would (and already have!) recommended this lovely cottage. It is picture perfect. It works really well with a lovely large dining table to play games at and a cute garden to relax in.Thank you Rachel for a lovely stay in Wales!
