"The house was easy to find (since my husband spent his summers there as a kid) and we found everything clean and well-equipped. Appreciated the stash of spices, condiments and kitchen equipment since we did some cooking. Loved biking the island! Water was rough from a storm so no kayaking but the shed was full of water toys for nice days. We all enjoyed our stay very much!"

"My husband and I decided on a last-minute vacation to de-stress and unwind. Our only criteria was a hot tub with a water view and “Serenity on the Rappahannock” fit the bill perfectly! The home was clean, spacious, well stocked, and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the decks for peaceful morning coffee and stunning sunsets. The water facing hot tub was perfect for relaxing! (There is a neighbor to the right so we hung a tarp for a little bit of privacy.) We also unexpectedly loved the nighttime dock fish lights and all the food chain activity they brought – so mesmerizing and fun to watch! We really appreciated the timely and thoughtful communication with host Trent. We took some time to explore a couple of the charming nearby towns, all about 15 minutes away. Some of our favorites: Waterfront dining at The Merrior Tasting Room in Topping and Willaby’s Café in White Stone. In Irvington, we loved the Red Fish Art Gallery (where all profits go to charity!) and dinner at The Office Bistro with good food and a fun vibe! Our relaxation continued in Kilmarnock with a massage at LaSource Spa and an incredible Sound Bowl Healing Session with (world-renowned classical singer!) Esther Heideman, thebowlmovement.com. Our favorite night was walking over to the Tiki Bar at Windmill Point (.03 miles) for cocktails and dinner at the outside bar. We had an incredible time in this lovely home and area and are already thinking about dates to return! "

"This was a beautiful weekend getaway. My wife and I had a lovely time relaxing before we welcomed our second child. The house is a small quaint cottage, and we loved waking up to the sunrise and birds chirping. Between hammocks, kayaks, a firepit, and just sitting and watching nature it was a beautifully relaxing spot in basically a private nature preserve.Also the hosts provided a thorough document with what to bring, and places to visit/experience in the area.The attraction of the area is the slower pace, so just watch when different places are closed or open. Loved our weekend and highly recomend!"

"We had a wonderful vacation. The house is amazing, offering everything you’d need for a relaxing yet enjoyable time on the beach. We had 8 people in our family group (3 kiddos) and there was more than enough room for everyone. We cooked and enjoyed meals in the kitchen. The hosts were responsive, making check in so easy. "
