Get off the grid!
If you are looking to get off of the grid, this is the place for you! I didn’t have cell service at the property which couldn’t have been better for me (we did have WiFi which was perfect). The house is cozy and the fire places were great, they gave the house a really warm feel, and made it feel like a really warm cabin. It’s about 10 minutes from the town which is small slice of Americana. The backyard / creek are great, my son loved playing back there. Would highly recommend!

Fly Fishing Slam
We got together with our grown sons and fly fished the Roaring Fork and Frying Pan Rivers as well as some spring creeks. Fishing was killer. It was so nice to return to the rental property and relax, have a drink and make dinner. We really liked the peaceful location and the well eqipped kitchen. Had a flock of wild turkeys walk through the property.

Lovely mountain home perfect for family getaway!
This was a wonderful home for our family’s weekend getaway to Glenwood Springs. The home is beautifully decorated, well stocked with all you would need over a weekend & had a cozy feel to it. There were even towels available for us to use at the hot springs! The creek side setting was so peaceful & we loved going out on the beautiful deck to enjoy our morning coffee and relax. Mary & Jim were great and helped problem solve a challenge with our booking dates & we’re very responsive in their communication! Loved our stay there & would love to visit again when in Glenwood!

Long weekend for Colorado TAC
We stayed here while attending Colorado Total Archery challenge. Beautiful place on the river. Secluded. Close to Sunlight Mountain. Very well kept. Tons of room. Spacious.

Lovely setting on the creek. Remodeled kitchen is nice. Could use a deep cleaning throughout the house. Ice maker in fridge didn’t work, bathroom door got stuck shut. Hosts were responsive and helpful. No cell service so calling is through Wi-Fi, which stopped working the day we checked out. Had to drive up to Sunlight Mountain Resort to call the hosts to be able to check in, as door code wasn’t sent. The setting made up for many inconveniences but probably wouldn’t stay again.

We were sorry to hear our short comings, some have been immediately corrected and others are beyond our control. Each and every guest is sent VRBO email of general information that includes your specific door code. Time to time our service for WiFi is interrupted which is rare but unfortunately it happens. The ice maker was down because the past guest adjusted the temperature causing the water line to freeze up, problem resolved. Cell phone service not available to all carriers but we provide land line phone service that includes no charge long distance calls. I have no problem calling and receiving calls thru WiFi. Thank you for staying with us, again sorry that your stay was less than perfect.

A Slice of Heaven
This property is exceptional. The house is situated so all windows have a view of the creek as do all decks. One can hear the creek anywhere they sit. The house is well cared for and everything works, the furniture comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, the oven and stove cook well and the grill was clean. The owners were always available if we had any questions. We will be back to this lovely place. Thank you for sharing this exceptional property with us.

Fantastic VRBO!
Our family of 5 (two adults, three small kids) had a great time! The house is located nicely outside of town where it is quite and relaxing, but still within in a quick drive to get things or go anywhere. Plus, it is a very short distance to Sunlight. The layout is very nice, the kitchen is the best stocked we have experienced, gas fire places very cozy, beds extremely comfortable! 5 Star in our review. Property owners are very responsive and friendly as well!

Pete’s place in Glenwood Springs
Nice property located on Four-Mile Road on the way to Sunlight Ski Area. Ted and Mary are very responsive to guests’ requests. Love the creek running in the back. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything necessary to prepare a nice meal and there is plentiful seating at the dining table and in the living room. Plenty of space in the home, but the bedroom set-up downstairs requires a walk through Bedroom One to access Bedroom Two. It’s a bit hazardous exiting the driveway to the road as bushes block the view and it’s on a blind curve. Such a comfortable place to stay and would recommend it to others!!

3 generation get away
Spent a few days, grandparents, our kids and grandkids. The house was great, very comfortable and a terrific space downstairs for our kids and their kids. Everyone had their privacy. Kids had a blast playing outside and the stove added a nice comfy touch. Plenty of space for meals as well. The house is out of town, in the mountain, an easy 10 minute drive to the town center. Really felt like a vacation. We would definitely return given the opportunity.

Skier/Boarder dream home.
This home is 4 miles from sunlight mountain, creek front, and well equipped like no other rental. You could should up empty handed, get snowed in for a week, and survive on the provisions in the pantry. Staples like zip bags, spices, foil, every kitchen gadget you could want, fuel for grill, even a slim Jim if you lock your keys in the car. The host would arrive before ski time and shovel all the snow from the driveway on powder days. This is a first class rental home that is managed properly.

Fantastic Ski Trip
We had a great time at Ted and Mary's place. It was very close to the Sunlight Ski Resort. The house had lots of room for everyone and looked exactly like the pictures. Ted and Mary were great hosts. Ted came early each morning that it snowed to clear the driveway. We had a great time and would highly recommend to anyone.

We stayed at Ted and Mary's property over the Christmas holiday and they were so accommodating, they even had some decorated Christmas trees up for us! The entire place was well laid out and comfortable for our entire family! Would definitely stay here again.

A little slice of Heaven!!!
Wow!!! Ted and Mary's place located on 4 mile creek was a real pleasure to land in after a day of exploring Glenwood Springs and the surrounding areas!! Nestled up in the hills , tucked back off the road and sitting right above the creek made for some amazing views from the full glass doors on the back of the house!! Beautifully appointed and abundantly stocked with a lot of basics , and classy extras (which is not the case a lot of times!!) The gas fire 🔥 place put off some nice heat to cozy up on the very comfortable furniture to enjoy a movie!!! The beds were comfy as well, and hosts were very responsive anytime we needed to contact them!!! We were there in November and we don't know if its an annual thing but the road to the house had mini pumpkins on rocks and fence posts along the way so was a fun trip counting them!!! We got to 30 and might have added a few too!!!😎😎🤙

Winter get away.
Nice property, was good jumping off point for many other activities around the area. Owners took care of us and communicated very well. Loved the stream behind the house, to bad it was winter and we couldn’t enjoy it more. Kitchen is well stocked and well as the rest of the house. Good instructions also to help navigate thermostats and such. Would recommend. Description was spot on.

A perfect retreat in the mountains
My husband and I brought our 7 and 9 year old daughters to CO this fall and this house was everything we needed after a long day of sightseeing and hiking. The house was fully stocked, beautifully decorated, and very clean. We especially loved grilling out on the deck and listening to the stream and our kids loved exploring and playing. It was quiet, private, and only about a 15 min drive to Glenwood Springs. The owners made check in and communication easy. We hope to visit this beautiful place again!

Peaceful retreat
We have stayed at Pete's Place multiple times now and just love it! The home is comfortable and relaxing and the location is fantastic - far enough out of town to feel like you are up in the hills, but close enough to be at great dining, shopping and recreation in minutes. We loved the deck, trees, and grilling our dinner while listening to the creek babble. The owners are wonderful and have outfitted the home with everything you need. Communication was top notch. We will be back again and certainly recommend this great retreat to anyone looking for a place in Glenwood Springs.

Hidden Gem near Aspen!
Beautiful home - the windows overlooking the trees and the sound of the creek outside the spacious deck is beautiful. One of the only downsides was that had five adults, and the two bedrooms downstairs are a bit awkward. You have to walk through a bedroom to get to the master bedroom/bath. Not ideal but it was fine for us. Also the master bedroom and bath needed to be cleaned a bit more. There were a lot of dead bugs (little gnats) in the bathroom, nightstands and in the corners of the room in spiderwebs. Again, not a huge deal but just something to note. Given that, we would absolutely stay here again, it's in a beautiful setting, the hosts were very easy to reach and accommodating for a late checkout and very comfortable. It was also one of the most affordable, pet-friendly places we found in the area so would definitely recommend.

Nice location and spacious property. We had 3 adults stay at the property. Every room has a nice TV set up. The gas fireplaces were amazing efficient. The deck was wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary equipment. It's a typical Colorado mountain home. A little funky but in a very nice location. The creekside location was amazingly peaceful. Protip, once you arrive place your phones on wifi calls and text. The driveway entering and exiting is a little tricky.

We enjoyed exploring the outdoors around the property, and from the great child and pet safe deck! Short easy drive to town. Do be aware when accessing the driveway traffic goes (way too) fast. Very clean, comfortable house with a very user friendly kitchen—we recommend!

Love this property!
Pete's Place is lovely and well appointed as well. Lots of extras, like quality cast iron pans, good set of knives, plenty of spices (all pluses to people who love to cook.) Lots of nice towels, good bedding, and the decor is beautiful. Love the gas fireplaces that look old fashion. The decks all have fabulous view of trees and a feeling of privacy. Just all and all a wonderful place to stay and to enjoy Glenwood Springs.

Beautiful Glenwood springs hideaway
We really enjoyed staying at this property. The owners are extremely nice and are very easy to communicate with. The stream behind the house makes such a peaceful sound when you're sitting on the back deck.

Unfortunately not what we expected
Details are lacking in the description. This is a 2 bedroom house with a third bed located in an area with very little privacy as you have to go through this room to access the other bedroom and this guest has to go into the other bedroom to access the bathroom on that level. If we knew that we would not have stayed here. The listing looks immaculate and certainly cleanliness is in the eye of the beholder but all 3 couples in our group found it below our level of expectation.. I tried to clean it myself a little to make us more comfortable but gave up as there was too much that needed done. We then left for dinner and came back to an odor in the lower level where 2 of the beds are located that was so offensive we all slept upstairs and chose to leave a day early. It is out in the woods so there are a lot of spiders, bugs, moths, spiderwebs, etc in the house and outside. There was also a mouse somewhere as we found new mice droppings in one of the downstairs bedrooms. Thankfully Mary was very apologetic and took our concerns seriously. We will receive a refund for the 2nd night and they are looking into the issue of the odor. The host can make or break a trip and Mary was awesome. She even called the day we were to arrive and let me know the house was ready early. Loved our host just not the place.

Worth the short drive out of town!
My family stayed at Pete's Place for 3 nights in July and loved it. The extra space for the teens was great, the outside deck space was fantastic. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable! Highly recommend taking the short drive out of town to this private relaxing space!

Million dollar view from the deck and the sound of the creek so relaxing
There was some really wonderful things about this house and also things that need to be worked on. We’ll start with the good stuff first. Oh my gosh that deck! It’s even better in real life, the online pictures don’t do it justice. It was lovely to sit out there in the morning with a cup of coffee and the sound of the creek, the birds chirping your perfect slice of nature. You can tell that this is/was a family home. It’s stocked with just about everything you would need. I appreciated the little sticky notes around the house with useful tidbits of information or instructions etc. Made my life so much easier during our stay. The kitchen is nicely remodeled with enough kitchen essentials to do breakfast and dinners. Plenty of towels and even ones for the hot springs nice touch. Satellite TV lots of channels and the WiFi was strong which was good because we had 0 phone reception. Just enable wifi calling on your phone and you’ll be fine. Now the improvements part. The spiders. The cobwebs. They are everywhere, it really creeped me out. I know what your thinking it’s a cabin in the woods of course there’s spiders. And maybe that’s true, maybe there is nothing you can do about the spiders but you can clean up the cobwebs. That would definitely help cure that scary cabin in the woods feel. I can happily report we were never bitten by spiders during our stay but we did have to kill a few when opening and closing the blinds at night/morning. And I think because I was on edge with the spider situation the two down stairs room I avoided as much as possible. The layout is just odd and dark. I’m glad it’s dog friendly but there was a lot of pet dander and dust. The mattress was not comfortable. It’s to soft but the sheets and bedding are nice, it’s just past it’s prime. Time to buy a new one. By the 3rd night my back was killing me. We did get a visit from a brown bear! That got the heart pumping. Be sure not leave food out especially in your car. Good vacation story to tell when back home. All in all I don’t regret my stay. The peace and serenity on the deck is worth the short comings.

What a beautiful property and home to stay in. Just the right distance out of Glenwood to be close enough to shopping and activities but far enough to feel like a real getaway in the mountains! Will stay again if we visit Glenwood.

My sister and I took our kids and our 3 nieces to stay in Glenwood for the weekend. This was a very affordable property and absolutely beautiful. The owners do a great job of cleaning. My only complaints are that there are a lot of spiders in the house, and that there are a lot of moths, which is typical for the mountains. But at night time it is hard to open the door because ten moths will fly in in two seconds. Other than that though it was fabulous and I would stay again or recommend it to others.

Everything was as advertised and even beat expectations. Place is very well taken care of and clean, ample room for 8 people with plenty of parking space. This place is fully furnished and ready to go. It was great to have all we needed to have a great stay without having to make sure we bring all the little things. Would love to return in the future.

A Little Slice of Heaven
We loved our stay at this property and will be back. We especially enjoyed the sound of Four-Mile-Creek. It could be seen and heard out all windows of the house. The decks for sitting out were wonderful. They all overlooked the creek and were very relaxing. The furniture was comfortable and the hosts were available when we had questions. The only thing we would change was the use of fragrance in the cleaning materials. Thank you hosts for a relaxing stay in the little slice of heaven.
