Charming would be an understatement! The property was located in a yet to me, undiscovered area of Cashiers and Glenville. I’ve been coming to this area for over 30 years and somehow missed it. I’m so glad I packed my binoculars because watching the ever changing landscape of the majestic rock alone was mesmerizing. Close to everything yet beautifully situated in a serene and healing atmosphere. The cabin was quaint & had the lived in feel of family. Kim responded right away to any questions or concerns. Thank you- would absolutely return again!
Cabin is cozy. Kitchen well equipped. Views were wonderful. There were some things left in the bathrooms from previous people like bars of soap and toothpaste, but things seemed clean. We had some issues with the water. Water pulsates every 20-30 seconds, slowing to a trickle and then there is a burst of pressure. Only one water source can be used at a time, or the water pressure would slow down and turn completely off every 5-10 seconds and then pulse back on. We contacted the owner. She responded immediately and was very kind but due to the nature of the issue was unable to get it fixed while we were there. It was inconvenient to deal with but certainly did not detract from our fun. Honestly, much of the world needs clean running water; so in the grand scheme of things, it's not a problem, but in light of this being a vacation rental, hopefully it can be fixed.
Lovely, well equipped home for our large family. Conveniently located close to town, but also close to Lake Glenville and Panthertown for boating, hiking, and fishing. Amazing view that was hard to leave. Love this home and will be back. Thank you for sharing such a perfect NC cabin with us!

Unclean
What a disappointment. I’ll start with the good points. Beautiful cabin, location and neighborhood both great, view of mountain was incredible. Sadly, the place was really dirty. The floors were disgusting. Spiders & webs everywhere, all kitchen appliances dirty including coffee maker, toaster oven, wall oven...( I took pics of all and it was disgusting. We we’re celebrating a birthday planning to stay 4 days but felt so uncomfortable with the lack of cleaning, we left next morning. We contacted owner about condition of property. She issued a full refund. I was hoping would send a cleaning person over to clean the cabin, but she insisted it had been cleaned. There is absolutely no way. I even sent pics to her. There were brand new mops And cleaning supplies on front porch when we first arrived. None of the cleaning supplies were used, all still unopened and sitting by door, untouched.. This was not what you want to see when arriving at a property. I mentioned this to owner but she still insisted the cabin was clean. Ok, well, then if this is your idea of clean, we are out! My husband and I use VRBO a lot, and this was our worst experience, all based on cleanliness. It’s sad that a good cleaning would have made this a glorious stay... not to mention we are dealing with COVID and you would think an owner would go over and above in cleaning practices to ensure the place is sanitary, & clean! Completely Unacceptable!
Had a wonderful stay just before Thanksgiving. Host was prompt with replying to any questions. Home was perfect for our family of 5. The stunning Mountain View’s and close proximity to downtown Cashiers were perfect!
What a wonderful cabin! Perfect place for a weekend getaway to see the fall colors in North Carolina. The view from the back deck is spectacular! We can't wait to visit again.
We had a fantastic week. We hiked, tubed, rested and looked continuously at the absolutely amazing view. Probably one of the top 5 views in all of NC, in my opinion.
The views were wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked, plentiful paper products. The host was excellent to work with. The house could use a thorough cleaning, including windows and window sills. There was too much furniture and clutter and there was not good light for reading. Surfaces were full, so it was difficult to find a place for what we brought. The neighborhood was lovely, and hiking, groceries and Farmers Market were close by. My guests and I all enjoyed the month, and I would consider renting again.
GREAT cabin! GREAT view! Kim was wonderful and responsive. The cabin is warm, cozy, and has everything needed. The porch is the best spot. We spent lots of time there and saw lots of wildlife (including a mama bear and cub)! The cabin was clean when we arrived. I saw a few reviews saying it wasn’t clean. I disagree. Keep in mind this is a mountain cabin built in the 80s, I’m guessing. If you’re seeking the spotless, new, modern farmhouse cabin, this isn’t your cabin. This is a great, rustic feeling cabin but with all the comforts of home. Lots of board games, too. The view from the firepit was overgrown with vegetation, but we just stayed on the porch. Highly recommend the cabin and the owner. GREAT trip!
Very friendly, charming, and warm cabin!
Views are breathtaking!!
Very quiet and made you feel very remote…
The owners have taken great care to make it a warm inviting place.
We truly enjoyed our stay and have only positives to say!

View is good but home needs work.
This is a remote real cabin. The views are extraordinary. The house is not clean. That’s the only way to say it. Even for a cabin there are problems with it. Things are not moved around to be vacuumed behind it justice pretty much everywhere in the kitchen it’s tough to deal with. Place needs a remodel on the inside for the price.
Cozy cabin that had everything we needed, including a killer view, quick access to hiking, and helpful owner. Our daughter was virtual learning one of the days and internet access was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful extended weekend.
We loved staying in this quaint comfortable cabin in a very quiet neighborhood with a beautiful vista. It was convenient to town and amenities but also close to some of the best hiking in the area. Even had a bear sighting on our last day so it was a very memorable trip. The owners were immediately helpful and responsive to all our questions and couldn’t have been nicer to deal with. We will no doubt return.
Location to trails great- just down the road! View at house exceeded my expectations! Bring your lawn chairs for a great campfire spot. This place was even awesome when it rained.
