  • Welcome to The Kipling Cottage! We are excited to share our cozy cottage with you. Our cottage is an Angler's paradise. You won't find a more convenient place than this with a public boat launch on Little Bay De Noc and two, locally owned bait shops right up the street. Fish year-round in one of the most coveted locations in the area.

    Our cottage has a huge front and back yard perfect for yard games, bonfires, and plenty of parking space for trailers, boats, etc... We are conveniently located minutes away from bars, restaurants, a grocery store and gas stations. A day trip away from Munising, Marquette or Manistique- the possibilities are endless!

    Our fully stocked, very clean, pet friendly cottage is vacation ready- it just needs you!

This cabin was clean, peaceful and very private. The yard is huge ,my Lab enjoyed playing ball. Great place to just take in the sites and relax. Enjoyed the campfire at night. We will try to return .

We had a great stay! The house is really cute, well maintained and clean. The property is spacious and we enjoyed watching the deer that came through every morning and evening. It was a perfect weekend getaway.

This was a great place to stay in Gladstone! Comfortable and quiet. The mattresses are great, the kitchen has everything you'll need, and the entertainment options (smart TV) are an extra plus. Also the deer and turkey outside your window! Highly recommend.

Very nice, quiet little getaway. We had a mama deer with her fawn in the back yard. Wish there was more of a trail to the water but it was very nice nonetheless. Would go again :)

Perfect getaway and home base to explore the area. Fayetteville state park is a must. The house was spotless. We are not pet owners so our expectations are high. Comfortable bed and furnishings. The kitchen had everything we needed.

Cozy Cottage

Great place to stay with plenty of room for your truck and boat. Awesome internet which is often not the case for the UP. Every day we were visted by a flock of Turkeys and deer were abundant. Close to everything that is needed. Would definitely recommend.

U.P. Base camp

Property was exactly as advertised. We used this property as a basecamp for our upper peninsula exploration. It was clean and well maintained and suited our purposes perfectly. The one thing that I would love to have had was the opportunity to open the windows to enjoy the crisp clean air of the north country. If you are planning a stay, and are not used to well water, make sure to bring what you need to drink as the water is somewhat harsh. We would certainly consider using this facility again.

Privacy and peaceful

We loved location set away from escanaba and Gladstone. Nice long driveway and nice and private. Dogs had room to run. There wasn’t anything to pick up poop fyi. Can’t open windows which stunk because no fans to help move air from window air conditioner in kitchen which is opposite of bedrooms. Water is orange terrible smell and taste. So I didn’t wash my hair or drink it. House smells very musty everything we brought I had to wash even if we didn’t wear it. Double beds stink for couples.
