"Room was clean, had everything we needed and had a balcony!
Breakfast was a continental and hot food buffet.
Dinner was beautiful and well priced.
Beautiful hotel with lots of amenities including library, snooker, pool, jacuzzi, gym, hairdressers, spa and golf course.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Lots of parking. Lots of areas to sit and lounge/chill out.
Disappointed that the rooftop bar that was so highly advertised was closed and padlocked. Yes the weather hasn't been great but it should still be an option for people when it has been advertised so much.
Shower was one in the bath. You couldn't adjust the height and no pressure.
Online said check in was 4pm but posters in the hotel said 3pm. Reception said "it just depends if we are busy" so probably best to phone and check. Check out is 11am. Usually when check in is 4, check out is 12."
"Fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. Staff were lovely and the parking was super easy. Lovely breakfast. We’d definitely stay here again. Thanks a mill xx"
"⭐️ Prepare to live like a Lord & Lady in this posh, beautiful, spacious manor house! One night is not enough. Spa, massage & hot tub available- book ahead. A magnificent 18th-century Georgian house, located in the heart of the Boyne Valley, less than 5 minutes from the M3 and under 30 minutes from Dublin City center and Dublin airport. "
"Superb atmosphere, furnishings and period pieces. First class breakfast and rooms were beautifullly decorated. Owner Michael was a perfect host and provided great information and support. My highest recommendation. "
"The outdoor appearance actually belied what was within! A wow factor on entering with friendly and helpful staff at reception.
Our room was spacious and very clean and the roof top terrace was amazing overlooking Trim Castle and hosting two weddings during our short stay.
The staff in the restaurant were attentive, good menu choice and well presented delicious food. Breakfast was equally good, served on the first floor with waitress service.
Kilkenny Design shop situated within the hotel for anyone wishing to pick up souvenirs. A most enjoyable stay!"
Just half an hour outside of Dublin and set in the midst of a 1,500 acre estate in the Boyne Valley is the beautiful Slane Castle. The castle has been the home of the Conyngham family since the 18th Century, with the major castle reconstruction work taking place in 1785 carried out by James Gandon and James Wyatt.
