"The pool is not open. Could really hear people upstairs. Price is a little high for rooms that you can hear people above you, but it is what it is. A hotel was nice enough."

"This was our second time here and it was just as excellent as the first time!The place was newly renovated and so clean “ you could eat off the floors “! It felt like a new home, so comfy! The place was easy to find. It is located in an older quiet neighborhood with a fenced yard. One cannot go wrong staying here…it is so MUCH BETTER and CLEANER than staying in any of the “hotels” in Silver City!Becky was quick to respond to any of our questions. "The Bear Mountain Lodge is a real treat. Small enough to feel private and exclusive, large enough to feel professional and welcoming. Our breakfasts were beautiful homemade meals with fresh ingredients and served with a smile. The entire lodge is spotlessly clean. The staff is thoughtful, friendly, and helpful. "Amenities were as described and host was most gracious. The in residence dog, Blue, was a friendly addition to our stay of 3 nights. Relaxing soak in hot tub and hummingbirds were a daily treat. Would highly recommend this location as the retreat it promises and we will stay again when back in Silver City area."
