Slice of heaven
My friend and I stayed at Laura's beach house 5 days in January. We were on vacation and had gotten sick just before arriving. The beach house was the perfect place to recover. To me it's the quintessential beach house. Every detail adds to the feeling of a well-loved, cosy family vacation spot rather than an antiseptic, monochromatic house professionally designed with all new and shiny appliances, but no real character. The views are spectacular and we loved watching rain clouds blow in over the water, and sea birds fishing. The highlight was catching a glimpse of seal swimming along the shoreline. Low tide was at night so we ended up looking for sea shells and pretty stones on the beach with our cellphones' flashlight app. The beds were comfortable and we both slept well. We basically stayed the whole time at the house in our pj's enjoying the view and watching tv. Laura could not have been more accommodating. She responded immediately whenever I texted a question or passed on information I though she would like to know. We would definitely stay again. The only difficult part was dragging our heavy suitcases down the flight of stairs from the parking area to the house, but that is a common issue with beach houses in the area.

Perfect
This little house on Puget sound is wonderful, amazing, beautiful, peaceful and I need a Thesaurus to find more words. The deck is just steps from the water where we watched seals, a resident heron and even one Orca. We spent most of our time gazing out at the water, both from the deck and the picture windows inside. We can't thamk you enough for this amazing retreat.

my sister cried when she had to leave
do i need to say more? there is something insanely magical about this place. if i were to go into detail it would take way too much text. if you want something serene and a place that reminds you of the simple things. this is for you. in all honesty i tend to select vacation rentals with a little more of a luxury vibe. this wasn’t necessarily that. it wasn’t a villa on the florida coast. but it is a total gift that the owners let us stay in this place. there are one million little places to plunk yourself down and change your view and experience. it seriously felt like we just moved from hot tub to the outdoor sectional to the adirondack chairs staring at the sound, to the beach to laying on the lounger. when you were inside in the kitchen area ~ it felt like you were on a houseboat but better ~ without the rocking. i will come back here by myself for a respite. i will come back here with my sister every year. i will bring my grandbabies back. i’ve already planned what i’ll do with them. it’s a special place. and owners are wonderful.

Breathtaking views
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We were able to experience really great weather and stormy weather, both showed beauty in there own way. The show outside of the window never disappointed, we saw sea lions eating fish, eagles and other birds flying by. We also saw some deer trying to snack on the neighbors flowers. This property is designed for rest and relaxation, we leave rested and rejuvenated. Thank you

Unique Perfection
The most delightful beach hideaway. I wish we were still there and we plan on returning soon. Laura thought of everything; we never left the property until we had too! 😆 Beach access, wildlife and sealife from the moment we arrived. Mt. Rainier came out for a peak. Very special.

Dream Property
This home is incredible and well taken care of. It exceeded my expectations. We had an incredible time with my 70 year old parents and 16 month old. Using the hot tub was complicated, took too much communication with the owner while we were trying to "unplug" and took a little away from the overall experience. Additionally we were out of the home by maybe 11:06 (checkout at 11) and got a call from the owner inquiring as to why we were still there (cleaners were waiting). That seems unreasonable and kind of left a bad taste in my mouth especially considering how much we spent on this property and we checked in late our first night. A bit of a buffer would have been appreciated.

Hi Sarah, my apologies about the hot tub. I agree it is kind of a hassle, but everyone that owns one knows how it has to be maintained in order to keep the chemicals in balance and the tub sanitary. The alternative is that we come every couple days, we we are happy to do but usually the guests don't mind doing it. As far as the cleaners go, they just call me when the property isn't vacated. We don't mind if they is there is a small overlap, we have found that occasionally the guests were mistaken on check out time. Please accept my apologies about this. Perfection in ever way
This property is truly magical and we can’t thank the host enough for her superb hospitality. The home itself is truly exceptional... it’s thoughtfully decorated and beautifully appointed. The landscaping is out of this world. The panoramic views were to die for and Mount Rainier was a spectacular focal point. We saw fawns, otters, dolphins and a variety of birds right from the porch (on my God! That porch!) The kitchen is very well stocked w everything you need to cook from home. Parking was great. The neighbors were friendly and welcoming and the host gave us some great tips on dining. We brought a dog- and he was totally in love! Completely fenced in property which is great for a well behaved dog. The hot tub was another highlight - basically we loved it all at every second of our stay. This place is absolutely gorgeous. We will be back!!

This is such an amazing little beach house - it's hard to describe how amazing it is until you see it. We spent hours every day on the deck watching nature under heated blankets and loved the hot tub. The house has everything you could need and the owner is very communicative and helpful if you need anything. I really can't wait to go back and stay there again!!

Beautiful Stay in Sunrise Beach
The cottage on Sunrise Beach is absolutely charming! We could've spent the entire day just looking out at the water and the amazing views of Mt Rainer. Even when it was chilly, we could snuggle under electric blankets on the porch or sit by the fireplace. Highly recommend the hike along the water to the Gig Harbor lighthouse, but make sure to watch the tides. The Sunrise Beach community is a few miles outside of town but a very quaint spot with several old/restored fishing cottages right along the water. A very unique and beautiful place to stay!

Our daughter arrived before us and got settled in ~ we arrived during the storm. Laura checked in on us the next morning to make sure survived okay. We had great weather the following 2 days and got to enjoy the beautiful Gig Harbor area. Since Covid has many things shut down we utilized the kitchen which had everything you need to make a wonderful meal. We would definitely go back again ~ beautiful area and stunning home! Fantastic Views But No Hot Tub for us :(
The views are amazing, the overall ambience is calm and peaceful. However, we did pick this particular place for the views AND the hot tub (we only searched for places with hot tubs as a nice treat for our first getaway since the pandemic). Unfortunately we were unable to use the hot tub because the water was very green. We tried the host's suggestion of fixing it but we had no luck. Honestly our ratings would of been 5 stars otherwise. We were just REALLY looking forward to using that hot tub while looking out at the views. Besides that hiccup, it's a great spot.

Beautiful beachfront gem
This was a perfect beach house for our family. Beautiful views no matter the weather and a huge kitchen and living area all open and inviting and facing the water. Covered areas outside let you enjoy the deck and outdoors even when it is stormy. Kitchen is very well stocked for cooking and house has plenty of extra touches which make it feel like home. We loved the fireplace keeping us cozy every evening. Will be booking again.

Amazing Retreat!
Our family of four stayed for three nights and it was more than we could have hoped for! The views- wow! The water is practically at your feet and the wildlife viewing is unparalleled! We loved seeing the seals swimming just off shore and the watching the birds glide by. We were blessed with views of Mt. Rainier everyday (even though everyday wasn't sunny), and we loved watching the ferry and other ships in the distance. The house is PERFECTLY laid out for anything you need. The hot tub is in a great location, the covered deck was spectacular to sit on any time of the day. Laura provided heated blankets for the deck, although the regular blankets were enough. We like to cook and the kitchen had everything we needed and then some! The beds and couches were incredibly comfortable and we all slept well. Everything was very clean and there wasn't anything we wished we had brought. We've stayed at rental homes all over the world and this is easily one of the best. We can't wait to go back!

Insane views!!!
Got up early one morning and just saw the most insane sunset. The porch has a covered area and there are lots of blankets so it was just perfect during a cool morning. Definitely go to the Harbor General Market to get good choice of foods and coffee. Next door is Kelly’s Cafe and they offered some great breakfast choices. Overall it was just a perfect getaway. We will definitely be back!

We are a seattle based family looking for a few days away after 6 months of sheltering in place during COVID. We needed a change of scenery badly, and Laura's home proved to be the perfect little getaway. This has to be one of the most well equipped VRBO homes I've ever stayed in. She thought of everything. Her deck is where we spent most of our days, and her couches with good sightlines to the Netflix-equipped TV made the evenings equally pleasant. We didn't really venture out too much, so I'd say this is an ideal place to chill. Views of Rainier never got "old", and I'm already missing the sound of the waves. Hope we get to return sometime soon. Oh, and very dog friendly. Great communication with Laura, she's a wonderful VRBO host.

Luxurious beach house!
What a magical place to get away from it all! We spent 3 nights here, playing board games on the deck, soaking in the hot tub, and paddling around the calm water. The house is so pretty and everything was high end, making for a very luxurious beach house. The outdoor space is unbeatable. We will be back!

Laura's property is 5 star in ever way. It's nicer than pictures represent. She's invested time in great flowers and décor inside and out. The views from the deck just cannot be captured fully with pictures. Laura was responsive and great at communications, we even got a heads up call that Orca were spotted in front of the house! Beautifully relaxing seaside cottage!
We had the most fantastic long weekend at this cute little seaside cottage. The views from every window are breathtaking, the kids spent hours on the beach collecting shells and splashing in the water. The covered deck was the perfect place to read a book, play games and eat meals. Neighbors were very friendly, house had everything we needed for cooking, plenty of extra linens, and very comfy beds. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely home with us- we will definitely be back and I’ve already sent the link to many of my friends who saw our pictures and want to book a stay too!

Incredible!
The place looked really nice from the pictures online but when we saw it in person we were blown away. The deck and view was incredible. The morning sunrise was breathtaking and it’s one of the best views I’ve seen in Seattle. Super private and quiet and the perfect get away from the city. The kitchen was great, it had it everything we needed and more. We are leaving this vacation planning the next one to come back.

From beginning at booking until end at check out we throughly enjoyed every moment of our stay at Laura’s beach house. Laura is a wonderful host and she made our stay very easy from beginning to end! The 180° water view was breath taking. We watched the sun come up and the seals and otters swim daily. Hoped for whales but not this time, maybe next. We really needed a getaway because being essential workers and having to cancel our Hawaii vacation planned long ago we were pretty exhausted and disappointed we had to cancel. Never did we expect to stay in WA and enjoy cooking out on the deck in April ! And fun nights in the amazing beyond stocked kitchen. cooking. Laying on the deck by day in the sun and under warm electric blankets provided for chilly nights outdoors after a lovely soak in the hot tub. The view and sound of the water was breathtaking. Mt Rainer is was also amazing ! Taking daily walks and grabbing takeout or coffee close by made it very relaxing on some days. Everything is so near by yet you feel like you are so isolated at the beach house. We can never thank Laura enough for such a wonderful 5 days we had at her place. I hope one day under different circumstances we will be able to meet. The neighbors are all very friendly and though we were all social distancing we had some great conversations. We did not want to leave and our dog looked so happy there and so depressed leaving, Thank you so much Laura!

Girls Weekend
My ladies and I needed a place to stay this weekend for my bridal shower in Olalla and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. Laura was an excellent host and the house had everything we needed to have an amazing weekend together. So many cozy blankets and even a couple of heated ones for enjoying chilly mornings or evenings on the outdoor couch on the covered deck. The hot tub was spacious even with 5 of us in it. The water was so tranquil and we enjoyed watching the birds and the ferries off in the distant. Also, the beds were so comfortable! Most of the time when I have stayed at rentals the furniture is so cheap (like IKEA cheap) but the furniture here was super comfy. If we ever need a rental again in Gig Harbor, all of us ladies said this would be our top choice. We managed to fit 4 cars onto the carport which was tricky but doable. I would recommend when staying here to take a maximum of 3 cars.

Perfection!
Mom-daughter getaway with my 10 year old daughter and her BFF. The views from the house are heavenly! The house itself is charming and has a million wonderful touches like soft throw blankets everywhere and well stocked kitchen. The outdoor space is amazing — the hot tub with stunning view, comfy couches and chairs and the sweetest pair of hummingbirds who love their feeder. The owner was super helpful and responsive. We loved every minute of our trip!

Fantastic Location
We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect. The house had all the needed amenities. It was very clean. The patio was wonderful. Laura was very responsive to all my questions. You cannot find a better view! We are looking forward to coming back.

2nd Stay here
Stayed here 3years ago and loved it. There is a new owner, but the property and customer service was as good or better than before. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. The cottage has all the comforts of home and the awesome view and location. Wish we could live here or at least stay here more often.
