"The hotel is beautifully designed, the food is wonderful, the staff are lovely. Two things let it down for me - the rooms do not have AC so our room was 26 degrees which made sleeping difficult. The hotel is on a main road through Cortina so having the window open to try and cool the room made things pretty noisy (which also made sleeping difficult). The communal spaces clearly are air conditioned so it feels like a miss to have not incorporated into the bedrooms in a hotel of this calibre. I heard other guests talking about the temperature of their rooms at breakfast (“sweltering”). The hotel did give us a fan but that only does so much. For late autumn/winter stays I’m sure this would be absolutely no problem but for September, it was just too hot and I left feeling not well rested after 4 nights."

"We enjoyed our stay here although there was alot of late night noise from the cafe patrons below - perhaps gathering outside the front door to smoke or other. The room was very spacious and great mountain views with a balcony. Breakfast was excellent with lots of food options. Staff were very friendly and helpful."

"Host is super friendly. We ran into bike race on Sunday and the host gave us detailed driving directions to avoid road blocks and get to our destination. So thanksful to Walter. His wife cooked the best breakfast for us."

"Really enjoyed the apartment, exactly right for our walking trip. Fabulous views from the balcony where we sat out enjoying breakfast and evening meal. Seemed to be only people in the whole and neighbouring property. Church bells glorious resounding in the valley. Could have done with more general instructions in English, particularly for operating the washing machine. As there were only 2 of us for 6 nights it would have been nice if a couple of wash capsules had been provided and a reasonable size bottle of washing up liquid in the kitchenette."
