I loved the atmosphere it was comfortable and elegant. The staff was very accommodating they helped us daily with taxi , and also arranged a tour, they www make to Move us from a room With a view of an alley to one with a garden ocean.

We loved the workers at this hotel. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Especially the front desk people who printed out our boarding passes for Ryanair. They also tried to show us where to go for laundry and bank. (But don't go to the bank to change money, they won't.) The bartenders gave me ice for my meal replacement shakes. The maids were very sweet. Our only problems were we never figured out how to turn off the lamps in the room 1115, without unplugging all 3. And sometimes the food at the breakfast buffet seemed not so fresh. (whole milk, a ham or turkey cold cut, watermelon.) But you can have them cook an omelet, the pastries were yummy, and yogurt in jars great. We had a huge room with a balcony, the beach was in sight. The pool area, outside bar, lobby and beach area all were great when we were there for 6 days, beginning of October.

Spacious rooms. Lots of pillows, comfortable bed, outlets, full length mirror, coffe/tea, bolted safe and all the needs of a traveler in the room. Every room has a water front view and lovely balcony. The bus is ok if you like to wait but there were taxi’s outside continually who took us everywhere. The average charge to the marina was 15euros (this is an easy walk from the hotel along a garden with Greek ruins), Taormina was $25-35 depending on time of day and distance. The taxis are easy to call and quickly pick up. The grounds are well kept. Pool and poolside restaurant and bar are “here to help”. The beach is rocky and entrance is steep. Would definitely stay again

Property is in desperate need of maintenance, upkeep an rehabilitation. The corner room we were given was the worse hotel room we have ever had. Despite repeated request the staff and supervisor did not do anything about our request for change or upgrading the room at a cost. Unfortunately we had prepaid for the room, we could not cancel our reservation and move to another hotel. I have pictures of all the maintenance issues with the room if anyone cares to see it.

Great hotel, although rooms are charmingly old fashioned in decor, the bathrooms could do with an update. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was extensive and very fresh each day. Pool was lovely, however a few more umbrellas/ shade options needed for those who don’t want full direct sun exposure throughout the day! We were asked to lower our vented umbrella we managed to get one day as it was ‘too windy’ by the ocean front?!? Also be aware of daily charge for hotel parking. Overall, though, a fantastic stay away from the crowds of Taromina yet with easy transport access.

Guarding Naxos Hotel getting updated
Have stayed here a number of times over the last 15 years. Now under Marriot and they are improving the hotel. Refreshed pool area, new bar locations. Expect rooms to be refreshed in coming months. Great location and great hotel. With upgrades expecting it to be excellent.

Stunning hotel in a stunning location. The hotel is right on the beach, but also has a stunning pool if you prefer. Its within walking distance of Giardini Naxos if you fancy a stroll, or there are plenty of bars and restaurants literally just over the road. Don't hesitate, book up and get over to the beautiful island of Sicily.

Swimming pool area got quite dirty towards the end of the day (cups / nappies / dirty towels left behind). Quality of image on tv in room was really poor. Clean beach, wide choice for breakfast, shaded balcony was lovely. Room cleaned well every day.

nice and comfortable hotel for family. The only negative was that the pool would close at 6.30. We usually would do day trip and come back to the hotel around 5 ish , kids wanted to relax and cool off , after all the walks and sightseeing, but we would have to leave the pool at 6.30. Otherwise hotel was clean and staff was accommodating

Mostly a good experience. Two questions were rudely answered by two male guest relations. One was about lack of Airconditioning (it’s just hot outside- it is what it is). The other was for a pair of scissors to cut a string off my hat (he swiftly grabbed a pair and cut the string in the middle and threw the scissors in the drawer and went back into a conversation with the female employee dismissing me). Left with a shorter string on my hat. Truly felt like a discrimination against American’s

Better than you think
This one was a bit of a wildcard but it turns out, the place is pretty solid! In comparison to what you pay in catania or Taormina, it's the best cost x benefit ratio we could find. The infrastructure is much better than on the pictures, service is superb, private beach is to die for. What could be better: - The rooms are a bit dated but still well kept - The beds are a bit of a hit or miss. On our first stay the bed was meh, on the second it was decent Pro tip: If you can, get a room with sea view :-)

Excellent stay
The hotel was lovely, the rooms were big, and the staff were friendly. Some of the staff at the desk seemed new so didn’t know so much about tours etc. but Sue was super helpful! We had a fantastic girls trip, the location is good with a 20 mins bus ride from Recanati to Taormina but there are also good eating options around the hotel. Breakfast had a good selection too!

Cool spot to vacation. Most of the staff are great. Some want to argue when you are simply asking a question. Breakfast is very meh. Don’t even try to call room service because they never answer. Instead just call the front desk, but don’t make it too complicated.

When we walked into this property, we were pleasantly surprised! We were informed that renovations and Delta Marriot had just taken the property a few months before our visit. This hotel was exactly the kind of luxury and relaxation we needed during our travels. We had an issue with our room and the staff IMMEDIATELY responded and fixed the issue. The breakfast buffet was divine! we indulged and relaxed with the perfect sea view while enjoying our meal! The beach is stunning and the set up of the pool and beach chairs is perfect (we spent hours poolside). It is one of the nicest places we have stayed at in a beach front setting. We look forward to staying here again!

The perfect view; not too far from the airport or the major city. Absolutely loved the beach and the pool. The staff was the most helpful, professional and friendly I ever received in Italy. This is a must return place for my family and I.

Great location - 150m from Recanati bus stop, so excellent for transport to Catania airport and Taormina, etc. lots of restaurants nearby with pretty standard food. Sea Sound is an outstanding nearby fish restaurant - best to make a reservation. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Good lunchtime snacks. Beach well-organised with umbrellas and sun beds. Nice stretch so sea for swimming, with views over to Mt Etna in the background. Mineral water in rooms. Overall very good.

The rooms were very dated. AC did not function properly. Bathroom door broke. Hotel amenities are nice (pool, breakfast, renovated lobby, beach access), but the rooms were uncomfortable for us. Had the rooms been newer/updated we would have enjoyed our stay much more.

Wonderful hotel
This hotel has so much potential- I want to love it completely There were a few hiccup's, but I feel it’s going to be grand again soon. The foyer, bar, restaurant areas are stunning It’s right on a beautiful beach with Mt. Etna overlooking the hotel in the background We had a junior suite, which is spacious, and the AC worked beautifully- which if you travel to Italy you’ll know us not guaranteed Our suite was a bit dated, with some issues Mainly in the bathroom - a leaky shower door which had me slipping and doing some serious acrobatic moves. It definitely needs a remodel The bed was massive, the bedding was very comfortable with extra pillows not being a problem The standard slippers and bathrobes, which I love The only negative points were these two Staffing was limited, which I understand, and felt badly for the staff on hand running off their feet. Thank you to them The last, and biggest complaint was the dining room food Italy is known for its food- this was by far one of the worst meals we’ve had in Italy in all our years visiting Over cooked mushy risotto with a slice of melted cheese on top is unworthy of the county’s food history Chewy over cooked Entrecôte is never acceptable Chefs soup - sliced veggies in water - not broth was not at all enjoyable Their lunchtime salads are wonderful- but we dined outside after our first meal I would still give this a solid 4 stars -and if I visited Sicily again I’d stay here absolutely

Great Hotel.
Great Hotel with great staff, nothing is too much trouble for them. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Naxos. If there is a negative, and it’s a small one, the rooms could be modernised.

Ths only fly in the ointment was the Sciara restaurant . We nicknamed it the scario ,the evening menu lacked variety and the food quality was underpar . They can mabafe a good breafast though .

Located on the beach. Breakfast on a large patio watching sun rise. Lots of shops and restaurants across the street. Easy ten minute walk into town. Staff very helpful. Local bus and hop on hop off bus around the corner.
