We were exceptionally pleased with the quality of the cabin and the associated amenities: the hot tub, multiple balconies, and bedroom alcove exceeded our expectations. Cozy, fun, and great views!
Great place to stay in order to "get away from it all" The views in the fall are absolutely amazing. The place comes with all you would expect, and great hot tub and fire pit, with super comfy outdoor chairs. Recommended and would stay again!
Gerrardstown was a great launching point for visits to the nearby historic towns and battlefields of MD, VA and WV. It was also great to return to a beautiful sunset view and hot tub.
The place had a great hot tub and view of the rolling hills. Lots of trees kept you secluded from neighbors. It was also fun to be high up on the hill and look out over some of the other houses.
Perfect getaway! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. We enjoyed the beautiful view, fire pit and hot tub. Communication with the owner was great. The place was very clean and welcoming. We highly recommend this rental.
My husband and I were just looking for a few days away from our everyday lives. Had a good time just relaxing in the hot tub and enjoying the beautiful view. Would highly recommend!
We will definitely be returning to this property. My family had a great relaxing 3-day stay. The hot tub was definitely a hit with the wife. The driveway is on the steeper side but definitely manageable.
The cabin was impeccably clean and well-stocked. The view is incredible! The weather was cool and rainy so we didn’t utilize the decks or the fire pit. We were able to squeeze in some hot tub time which was exceptionally clean and relaxing. Bed was comfy. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
The property was great for our short getaway. The house was nice, though a bit rough around the edges, but nothing too concerning. There was a slight musty smell when we entered after being away for a bit. We were surprised to find neighbors right next door.
We loved the hot tub and the outdoor fire areas—they were fantastic! The view was spectacular, and we really enjoyed our morning coffee with it.
My friend and I had an awesome time with a long weeks day at this property. Communication with the owner was super easy, check in was a piece of cake, and the weather was perfect.
If you’re nervous, driving on steep mountain roads, heads up that the last bit can be a little bit hard in a regular car.
It was close to everything we wanted to see and do, and it was great to be able to relax in the hot tub at the end of the day.
Definitely would recommend to others, and I am sure will be back!
The Chalet was a great place to stay. We didn't use all the amenities but it was nice. Some of the trees around the property could be trimmed back to offer a better few of the amazing mountain side. I am sure it's even better during fall or winter. Its only 15 mins for a small town with food option and some shopping and 30 mins to more shopping options. At lot of grear towns 35-45 mins away. Very quiet place to just unwind.
We liked this cabin very much. The location is awesome. Really close to the town, shopping and dining, and at the same time you feel there like in the remote forest. The view is great, especially from the sunroom. There is enough outdoor furniture for a big family.
If you have a big car or a truck it could be tricky to get to the driveway. But the parking space near the cabin is big enough for a couple cars and for turning around.
This cabin is the perfect place to enjoy as a couple or with friends. I was impressed by how clean and well-maintained it is, with all the utensils for cooking and taking a relaxing bath. I loved the hot tub and the fire pit. I definitely recommend this place, and of course we will return. My boyfriend was delighted and asked me beforehand to make another reservation. Give it a try you won't regret. Tony was very kind and answered all my questions right away. My boyfriend and I definitely enjoyed our stay.
An overnight stop on a road-trip. The house is a few miles from 81 with a very pretty drive. Picked it because of the great view and the hot tub. Both were exactly as described. Quiet area. Off street parking. I would definitely stay here again.
One thing to note, the gravel driveway does have an incline (which is why you get the great view). It is not terrible steep but a good FYI depending on the vehicle you drive.

We made last minute plans to get out of town and unwind, this location was perfect for such an endeavor. It was remote enough to enjoy the peace and solitude yet still close enough (20 minutes) to grocery/dining to make going to get something or going out convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities and appreciated that they allowed dogs. It even rained and we were able to enjoy the fireplace and board games that were available. The owners were very attentive and checked in throughout our stay, even updating us on current state mandates. The only item I would mention would be remain mindful if you drive a low sitting car, we did not have any issues navigating the driveway so long as we drove slow.

The place is simply amazing, calm and quiet has a beautiful tomorrow and sunset, the site team (Tony) were very attentive, only a few details should solve how the dishwasher was not working, the trash can was breaking in making put your hand every time in the trash can, and a small malfunction in the switch that turn on the lights of the jacuzzi, but it is a cabin in the middle of nature, these details did not spoil our experience on the contrary we intend to return another time!

okay, but not what it looks like
the pictures are nice, but not what the place is, over priced for sure, its old and they have updated some stuff, shower is nice for example and bed mattress is good, but per prior reviews if it is summer the upstairs bedroom does not cool down very well, also they allow dogs which is great but there is not much room for them outside, there is a house right next to this one.
I have nothing but rave reviews for Tony and his colleagues at Blue Maple as well as their properties. Due to the weather, our original rental was not accessible which was disappointing to my boyfriend and I as we were very much looking forward to unwinding. I called the company and they found us another property they manage nearby so we could get away. This property was absolutely gorgeous, clean, and very well maintained. If we had a question, the host was very responsive to assist however they could. We will absolutely be renting through Tony and Blue Maple again. Tony, Adrienne, and everyone else, I cannot say thank you enough for all of your help. We had an incredible stay and cannot wait to stay with you all again. Thank you!
I was impressed by the amenities here. The hosts give ample comforts. I enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The indoor climate control was excellent in warm weather. Beware the climb up the mountain is steep! It wasnt too hard to find. The neighbor's cat came to our fire pit, so don't make friends with him if you dont want him visiting. My partner with allergies was able to avoid the cat, although he was very friendly. Hosts are easy to communicate with. If you have any older people in your group, you can let them stay on the ground level room, and they won't miss anything upstairs or downstairs.
We had a great time at the cabin! Everything went well, check in and out was smooth. The owners had great communication and were available to help with any problems that could have arisen.
