"there was nothing we liked... the foto made one think it was in a green location. it was sqeezed in between other hotels, on a very steep hill, very narrow street reception is in bmt. staff was unfriendly, room was like a cell, window opened untoa roof and walk way, so we could not sleep w. open window... address is wrong, the place is in Geres which is a town 27 km further east, we had to backtrack after we got to the town that is noted on the reservation, which is act. the district...

"Our 3 nights stay here was incredible. The owner is open and friendly, warm and welcoming. The room is immaculate, with attention to detail and a complimentary bottle of Vinho Verde. The pool is well situated, clean and warm in the evening. The breakfast is a fantastic spread of traditional and contemporary foods (their daily cake is to die for!). "This property is so amazing. The staff was fantastic. Thanks to Thais and Barbara for their service at the front desk. They were outstanding. Our housekeeper was also quite helpful and provided excellent service. Our room in the new section was large and very comfortable. Big spacious shower with separate water closet. Loved it. The hotel should invest in changing the carpet on the second floor hallway. Just getting off the elevator, the carpet is badly soiled and dated. The breakfast was fantastic. "
