Private House With Lots of Land & Lake Front

Lots of land at the house, with lakefront across the road. Enjoy the lakeview with a beverage on the front porch, bring your kayak, canoe, and fishing poles. Dock for boats, swimming, or fishing. Great location 10 minutes from Wegmans and other shopping in Geneseo or Minnehans miniature golf and ice cream. Nearby hiking, golf, skiing at Swain or Bristol, drive in movies, Letchworth State Park, Darien Lake Amusement Park, and Roseland Waterpark.

The house was built in the late 1800's for Elizabeth Wadsworth, whose family settled in Livingston County, beginning in 1790 with James Wadsworth (1768-1844) and William Wadsworth (1761-1833) from Connecticut. The Wadsworths and descendants were early settlers, and influential in education, land stewardship, business, politics, and civil life on a local and national level. The Wadsworths were responsible for the establishment of the Genesee Valley Hunt Club and the family name is synonymous with the Genesee Valley, and especially Geneseo to the present day

Our First Conesus Lake Vacation
Great home and view. We swam in the lake every day. Hosts are friendly and easy going. We took my elderly father in law, enjoyed Letchworth State Park, Livingston Country Club, Deer Run Winery and campfires by the lake. Fantastic dinner at Embers, beautiful county to drive around.

The Perfect Stay
Beautiful property overlooking Conesus Lake. Classic home with all of the modern updates you need. Perfect upstairs suite for a family with kids, and downstairs bedroom for another couple. Bounce outdoors between the front porch, watching the morning sunrise, to the serene back patio that is perfect for outdoor meals.

Beautiful old house - beautifully remodeled!
This is a remodeled 150 year old house. The remodeling is fabulous - it has a wonderful kitchen, including a frying pan and knives that I would use in my home. I didn't need the frying pan or knives that I always bring with me when renting. It is beautifully decorated. The owners are very easy to contact and are very nice. The only downside is that it is a very old house and thus it has one air conditioner for the first floor and one for the second. It was over 90 every day we were there which made it difficult to keep every room cool. There was an intense rainstorm and water came into the basement where the washer and dryer were. When we contacted the owners, they responded immediately. If the weather had cooperated, we would have had a perfect stay. There are some very nice restaurants in the area and lots to do for two active 9 year olds. We rent from VRBO in different places for a total of several months a year and it was the best kitchen I have ever had while renting.

I dare say this is probably the best property to rent on Conesus Lake! We hope to come again someday. Everything was perfect about the accommodations, location, (weather!!), lake, kayaks, dock, kitchen, quiet, restful, can't say enough. You have a spectacular place. Thank you so much!!
