Not 5-star standard

The location is excellent, but the hotel is nowhere near 5-star standard – closer to 3. The curtains were almost transparent, the beds uncomfortable, and the shower pressure so weak that it was impossible to wash hair. I would not choose this hotel again.

A wonderful stay in the old town, Gdansk

Beautiful, big and clean room. Some noise from outside and not the best shower. Great food and cheap. Great location in old town.

Received info via text message how to proceed with check in. Those were not complete and caused some confusion. Found an employee in the ‘office’ who said all info was sent via WhatsApp. Of course I never checked WhatsApp as I got info thru text msg. How was the thinking here!!?? Only two big towels. No small toilet towels. No knob/handle on the inside of the shower door making it awkward to close. Find it strange this facility is rated with 5 stars. Restaurant was good though.

Not a 5⭐️ hotel - Thankful for Patrycja

First, I want to say that Patrycja at the office is a hardworking and service-minded woman. She does her job so well. Thank you for being kind and attentive. For my husband and me, Apartamenty Chleb i Wino is far from a five-star hotel. The standard/mini deluxe rooms were cozy but lacked comfort. The bed was okay but the pillows are not comfortable. I Think you Can request extra pillows if needed. They are on the second floor, where the hotel office (there is no reception) and the ground-floor restaurant’s restrooms are located. We could hear people talking and walking in the hall until the restaurant closed, as well as the sound of chairs moving at night and a dog barking on two occasions. It’s better to book a superior/deluxe room, where Patrycja moved us on the second night. The rooms are bigger and much better. The breakfast is very good, and we enjoyed dining at their restaurant.

Disappointing

Pros - the property is in an excellent location and the breakfasts were delicious and plentifull. Cons- the property Is listed as an apartment it is just a room located in a building with other apartments. Text sent with access codes but no details about car park access until quested on why more money was taken from the account . Money taken out of the account twice, ( this has now been returned) on entering the building - no reception area. First morning woken up at 7.20 am by lawn mower an a women yelling instructions . Third night didn’t get to sleep until 1.30 am due to noise. Ear plugs found in the apartment did not block out the noise. As there is no reception there is no one around to resolve the issue. On leaving the premises there were 4-5 people smoking at the back entrance . Slight sewerage smell From bathroom Not my ideal property

FABULOUS!

From start to finish the trip was amazing. The apartment had great communication with us letting us know the process of what would happen when we arrived and keeping in contact. We got free bottles of water and fresh towels daily. The room was entered with a code which was given on the morning of the trip. The room was lovely and spacious and very modern. It was located in a fabulous spot and Gdansk itself was amazing. We also loved the restaurant underneath and visited twice during our four night stay, we usually like to try different places each night but it was so good we decided to go back again!!

Hotel did not notify us about major construction.

The location and hotel are great but it was a major construction going on, extremely loud construction noises since 7am till late afternoon impossible to get any rest or stay in the hotel room past 7am. Hotel left the 2 pairs of ear plugs in the room but the noise was so loud that even ear plugs did not help and we had 4 adults in a room. Construction is out of hotel control but I feel hotel should have warned about it in advance, you do not book pricey hotel room to be exposed to loud construction early in the morning and throughout the day. We had to leave the room early in the morning.

Disaster

The room had no window - only a “skylight” with no light passing through. The toilet was not flushing so we had to use the common toilet shared with all the guests in the restaurant. And 2 out of 3 days there was no cleaning of the room. Only on the last day the management offered to give us another room, which we declined as we did not want to spend our precious vacation time to pack, unpack and repack our luggage. Management tried to compensate all this with a bottle of wine and a box of polish cakes. However the value of our stay was decimated by much more than this poor compensation. This is definately not my first visit to the hotel but rest assured: it will be the last. Huge disappointment.

Trevligt ställe. Bra service och fräscht inrett. Det ligger väldigt nära gamla stan och bra avstånd till många av våra favoritrestauranger. Nackdelen var att vi bokade frukost, det var väldigt enformig meny… inga nyttiga alternativ och man fick betala extra om man ville ha mer än 1 glas juice eller en extra kopp kaffe.

Perfekt opphold for en helg, fint rom med god seng og en utrolig bra frokost servering. Eneste bakdelen var at stedet var så populært at vi alltid måtte vente en stund for å få bord. Kommer helt sikkert til å bruke dette hotellet igjen.
