We visited during Christmas 2024 and had an excellent vacation experience. The cabin was beautiful, the location was perfect, and the views were amazing. Looking forward to coming back!
Our family spent a long weekend in mid-October and couldn’t have been more pleased. Gatlinburg was a madhouse as expected, but this spot gave us a great little hideaway with quick access to GSMNP for hiking. I almost don’t want to give this place a review so I can keep it all to myself but the views from the porch….20/10!!!! Absolutely breathtaking. I could spend full days just sitting out there watching the mountains. Jim was great and communicative, and we can’t wait to return!
Stayed in Owl Pine Chalet in September with my daughter and son-in-law. Such a good place, I just stayed again with my other daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter this week. Beautiful view, comfortable home, plus bear visits.
We enjoyed our stay. The views were awesome. We, also, liked the close proximity to downtown Gatlinburg. The owner made communication easy. He offered suggestions on things to see and do. Check-in was easy. We encountered no problems.
We really enjoyed this space. Had everything we needed to relax. Beautiful views and quiet location, but close to town (Gatlinburg). Jim was very helpful and responsive. Hope to stay again!
Comfortable house, excellent views. Lots of room to spread out. Enjoyed seeing the tram go by. Jim was easy to communicate with. Saw a bear on the morning of our last day. Looking forward to come back to stay here again.
We had the best time! The owner was more than helpful with suggestions, restaurants and super friendly! The home was clean and well-stocked! It rained all of Saturday but that didn't stop us! We had a lot of fun and will visit again!
We loved not having to keep our meal planning to a minimum because we only had 1 or 2 pans and most often not enough silverware. We even had extras , like a great home stereo, nice master bath and an amazing view!
This cabin is exactly what we were looking for for a relaxing weekend for our family. Pictures do not do that view justice, absolutley breathtaking! The pictures of the house are exactly what you can expect to see in the house. Perfect amount of space, very clean and the owner was extremely helpful with everything we could possibly need! Will definitely stay again! We had a great time!
We enjoyed our stay in your chalet. The views are stunning! The kitchen is well stocked for any cooking. The beds were all comfortable and clean. Bathrooms were clean with ample towels. This was a first for us to stay in the west part of Gatlinburg. It is an easy access to the park.
The views were fantastic, my family enjoyed their time at this cabin, the views were breathtaking, the hot tub was wonderful and relaxing, the pool table was a plus. Close to town if needed.
Didn't see any bear, but maybe next time. Owner was great and available for any questions/concerns. Truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying here again in future.
The cabin was better than expected. So warm and comfortable. We had a wonderful stay. Jim sent lots of helpful information ahead of the trip so we were able to plan our days with some personal expertise.
Really can't say enough how happy we were with everything.
The beds were comfortable, all was clean, showers were hot and the hot tub was clean and easy to operate.
We would love to return in the future.
We loved Jim’s place it was so nice and cozy . We even stayed in our PJ’s all day ! Be careful of food in car bear tried to break into all 3 of our cars but it was our fault kids left food in all cars . Close to everything , yet has that secluded feeling.
The cabin was extremely cosy. It was built in the late 60s, so much of the design is pretty vintage, but it’s incredibly well kept and it in the progress of being updated. The location is about a 5 min drive from downtown Gatlinburg. There are three bedrooms, and two couch beds. This was perfect for us and our two kids. There is a small convenience store down the road for basics if needed. The owner, Jim, was excellent with communication and making sure everything was taken care off. I’ll definitely rent from him again..
We had a fabulous stay at Jim's cabin. He was very helpful leading up to our stay and answered any questions we had. The cabin is in a great area close to the national park with an amazing view. We even saw the neighborhood bear. The cabin is very clean and had everything we needed. We would stay again if we are ever in the area. The only thing to note for those looking to stay - the roads around the cabin are narrow and steep. The view is absolutely worth the drive but know what you are signing up for!
I’ve rented dozens of properties but I can say this was the best. Fantastic communication from the owner. Your GPS won’t work right in the mountains. Jim sent fantastic maps and tips. Was hoping to get a picture of the bears but never had my camera when they walked by. I love this place because if all you want to do is rest and look at the beauty of nature it’s perfect yet you’re only minutes away from all the fun stuff. We’ll be back.
