We found this property to be everything we could hope for. We loved sitting at the dining room table staring at the Great Smoky Mountains—so serene. The kitchen was very well appointed & the beds were quite comfortable! Because we had two couples, the floor plan worked perfectly for us. We all agreed we would highly recommend this cabin!
Perfect view, amazing location . Cabin with 3 decks , can’t ask for more .
The best loading kitchen ever and we rented every year different cabins .
Overall happy and satisfied with this cabins , we are going to back for sure .
Thank you
We had a wonderful relaxing time. The overall ambiance and views were amazing. The place was immaculate and well stocked with all needed linens and kitchen utensils. Even our dog was impressed with the plush dog bed and crate. Relaxing in the hot tub was a perfect way to unwind on the crisp October evenings.
Stayed between Christmas and Left New Years Day...Gatlinburg was crazy busy so the remoteness of the cabin was relaxing. Everything that was promised in the description was accurate...everything worked and the owner was exceptional in her communication with us.
This was our first trip to the Smokey mountains. We didn’t realize how truly beautiful the view would be from the very top! 360 degree view of the mountains! Everything was within about 15 minutes. We even saw a bobcat right outside. We hope to stay here again on our next trip.
The property is nice with beautiful views, some what clean. We stayed here during Thanksgiving week and owner keeps thermostat set at 65 degrees. Night temperatures were in the 40"s and it was really cold on the main floor and inland was too cold to use it. During the sunny day it was manageable but at night was too cold to use it the pool table. On vacation we would like to be comfortable where we are staying at and unfortunately it was not the case this time.
So the good and the bad...
For me personally, I would not stay here again for a few reasons that may not apply to everyone.
First- The drive to the cabin was too steep, narrow and that final hairpin turn was worse than I expected. It is a doozy and I can not imagine this road at night or in bad weather. I dreaded going to and from the cabin each day. But if you are use to driving in these mountains, it may not be a big deal.
Second- I am allergic to dogs, and had hoped the fact that it is a "pet friendly" cabin would not be an issue but it was. We noticed quite a bit of dog hair... a lot under the furniture, baseboards, etc...
Lastly, if you are going in the summer, the upstairs Master Bedroom is very warm. We could not sleep upstairs. Fortunately they did have a secondary bedroom on the main floor and that stayed cool. The only issue for me, was that was also where the large dog crate is located, and my allergies left me stuffy and sneezing.
Overall, the cabin was nice and had a great view. It just isn't fit for everyone.
The cabin is beautiful and has amazing mountains views. The patio furniture and hot tub make for great relaxation while taking in a private landscape view of mountains. The indoor furniture is comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with nice dishware and appliances; better than what we've seen in other rentals. We also enjoyed playing pool on the billiards table. It is a quiet and peaceful location that is a short drive to everything in Gatlinburg.
There are, however, some opportunities for the owner to take a little better care of the cabin. The downstairs basement area where the pool table is located has a musty odor and has signs of mold along the baseboards. There were an abundance of stink bugs in the house. We expect some bugs given that it's a cabin in the mountains, but we found and killed no fewer than 10 stink bugs in the house per day. We found them in our towels, in our shoes, in the tub, on the curtains, and on the walls. The cabin provides bath towels but does not provide pool towels for the hot tub. Lastly, the cabin only provides shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for one day's worth. We had to go to the store to buy our own bottles. While not a huge deal, we expected more for the price we paid. It's more about the convenience of having it there. For example, we'd be happy with the $5-6 Amazon basic bottles.
Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed the views and location. We would gladly return if some of the noted issues were resolved.
Twinflower Summit was more than we could ask for. The owner thought of everything a family could possible need to enjoy the stay. The views are great and the hot tub was perfect. We would definitely stay here again!
Such a wonderful stay. Sure made it hard to go home!
Doggy loved being able to tag along on the trip, and it was so convenient not having to bring his kennel with us. Will definitely keep this cabin on the list for another stay!
Everything about this property exceeded our expectations! The views are breathtaking! The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you need to cook a meal. The upstairs bedroom is very spacious and the jacuzzi was very nice. Even with the very short drive to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge it was hard to find reasons to leave this wonderful cabin!
The dwelling was older than I thought but had everything we could need and this was first time we traveled with our Blue Healer dog. Lynae was a super manager and always very quick to respond on any questions. The last turn in road to cabin is a very very tight hairpin turn we had to back up some to make the turn but was able to manage.
Spent a couple nights here over the weekend. Cabin is a little tricky to get to with some tight turns, but not impossible. It is easy to spot with its red roof during the day. The drive to the top is worth the views once you get there. Parking is adequate. You share a large paved area with the neighboring cabin. Lynae was super easy to communicate with and texted me the door code before we arrived so we could get right in without issue. Upon first entering the cabin you are greeted with a well stocked recently renovated kitchen. I believe there was every utensil we could imagine in this kitchen but most showed obvious signs of wear and some misuse. We had no issues preparing meals but it may be time to start replacing some of the kitchenware. There is a coffee maker with plenty of coffee filters so just need to buy the grounds. Lynae provides a small bottle of dish soap and a few dishwasher tablets so you can clean as needed. There is a sign by the thermostat that says the heat should be set to 65 in the winter and the AC to 75 in the summer. When we arrived the heat was set to 71 so I am unsure if you are required to adhere to these temps. Thankfully my girlfriend and I prefer it colder so we lowered the heat to 65 anyways given that the weather was on the colder side this was perfect for us. During the warmer months keeping the ac at 75 may have been a bit uncomfortable for us. Heat tends to collect in the upstairs master bedroom. The gas fireplace is easy to use with a simple knob turn that is on a timer. The main level has a very open and spacious deck with a hot tub. When we arrived the hot tub was at 70 degrees but was actively heating up. I imagine the management company either just cleaned the hot tub or keeps it set lower to save on energy when not in use. Either way within 3-4 hours the hot tub was at 100 degrees and maintained perfect temperature all weekend long so no complaints at all. Just be sure to check as soon as you get there so you can enjoy it when you're ready! The beds are super comfortable. The upstairs master has a jacuzzi tub that is quite large and works great. Only thing I will say is that the drain plug lever is tricky. You have to make sure it is in the correct position or all your hot water will leak out leading to a short soak. The location of this cabin is very convenient. Some of the photos on here are out of date and do not reflect how great the kitchen and back deck are. We would happily stay here again.
This cabin and location were perfect. The cabin had everything the family needed from nice size king beds, private bathrooms, hot tub to relax in after long hikes, and a basement to play pool and arcade game's at night.
It was very peaceful and quiet at the cabin which we appreciated. The host was excellent and provided detailed information prior to our arrival. We would certainly stay again.
Great place only hard for our big truck to turn onto the hairpin road. Hot tub was not working properly and had to deal with that. Otherwise, good visit.
