About this property

Smoky Bear Lodge - 4BR/4BA, Hot Tub, Game Room, Mountain Views

  • Smoky Bear Lodge is where big groups come to relax. Four bedrooms, four full bathrooms — every bedroom has its own — and a hot tub on a covered deck with mountain views. This is the cabin where nobody fights over a bathroom at 7 AM.
This cabin was set up for groups of 8 to 14 who want to be together without being on top of each other. Family reunions, sibling getaways, friend trips, holiday gatherings — we've hosted hundreds of them. It's 5 minutes to downtown Gatlinburg and you might spot black bears wandering through the trees from the back porch.

    THE ENTRY LEVEL
The living room has vaulted timber ceilings, big windows, and a gas fireplace that makes the whole room feel right when the sun goes down. Comfortable seating for your entire group and a smart TV for when everyone finally settles in. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for the whole group, and the dining table seats 8+ so everyone can eat together. Guests tell us the kitchen has everything they need, including families who've made full Thanksgiving dinners here. Two bedrooms with king beds and en-suite bathrooms are on this level, along with a queen sleeper sofa in the living area.

    THE BEDROOMS
Four bedrooms across two levels. Three kings and two queens. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom attached — no shared baths, no waiting, no negotiating who showers when. Every bedroom has a smart TV and enough space to actually unwind after a day in the mountains.
For larger groups, there's a queen sleeper sofa on each level, bringing total capacity to 14.

    THE GAME ROOM
The downstairs is where the fun lives. Pool table. A multi-game cabinet loaded with 60+ classic games — Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Street Fighter, the whole lineup. A big screen TV and a queen sleeper sofa for the night owl who claims they're "just resting their eyes." Kids camp out down here. Adults end up staying longer than they planned. Expect trash talk. Expect someone to say "just one more game" at midnight. Two more bedrooms are on this level — one king and one with two queens — each with their own full bathrooms. The hot tub is accessible from this level too.

    OUTSIDE
Private hot tub on the covered deck. Mountain views through the pines. Rocking chairs for morning coffee. A charcoal grill for the person in your group who insists on cooking outdoors. The resort has a heated outdoor pool at the community center, open seasonally.
Guests tell us the outdoor space is quiet and peaceful — and that they've spotted black bears wandering through the property. It happens more often than you'd think. One family saw them three times in a single weekend from the back porch.
    THE LOCATION
Smoky Bear Lodge is in Black Bear Falls, a resort community about 5 minutes from the main Gatlinburg strip and 20 minutes from the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Grocery stores, restaurants, and attractions are all a short drive away.
One thing to know: the driveway to the cabin is steep. It's fully paved — no dirt roads, no gravel — but it is a mountain driveway, so the grade is real. We'll send you detailed directions before you arrive, including a simple approach technique that makes it easy. Guests consistently tell us it's no problem once they know the trick. If you're driving an SUV or truck, you won't think twice about it. Sedans handle it fine too — just follow the instructions.

    WHAT MAKES THIS CABIN DIFFERENT
The 4-bathroom thing is real. We know it sounds like a small detail, but if you've ever shared two bathrooms with 10 people on vacation, you know it's not. Every couple, every family unit, gets their own bathroom. It changes the whole trip.
The game room keeps your group entertained without anyone needing to leave the cabin. Rainy day? Nobody cares. Kids need something to do while dinner's cooking? Handled. The pool table and the classic games cabinet are the two things guests mention most after the hot tub and the views.
And the location is the sweet spot: private enough that you feel like you're deep in the mountains, close enough that you're at dinner downtown in 5 minutes. One guest put it perfectly when he said you feel like you're in the wilderness even though the strip is right down the road.

    WHO THIS CABIN IS FOR
If you're the one organizing the trip — getting 8, 10, 12 people into one place for a few days — this is the cabin that makes it easy. Enough bedrooms that nobody's on an air mattress, enough bathrooms that there's no morning gridlock, and enough space for everyone to spread out when they need to.
Close to everything but feels like an escape. The kids have something to do, the adults have a porch to sit on after they go to bed, and the kitchen can handle a big breakfast without feeling cramped.

That's who Smoky Bear Lodge is for.
