About this property
Mountain Chalet with Hot Tub & Game Room
Summary:
A three-bedroom Gatlinburg cabin on Ski Mountain — sleeps 10, with main-floor bedrooms for guests who'd rather not climb stairs, and full access to a small private resort with a gym, an outdoor pool, and lighted tennis courts.
The Space:
Main-level living, for once. Most Gatlinburg cabins are built tall and narrow on the mountainside. This one isn't — the great room, kitchen, two bedrooms, and the upper deck all sit on the entry level, with just a single step up from the driveway. Built for multi-generational trips, guests with mobility limitations, or anyone who doesn't want to haul luggage up two flights at midnight
Sleeps 10 with three private bedrooms and a bonus bunk room
Resort amenities included. Three clubhouses, a large outdoor pool, lighted tennis courts, a gym, shuffleboard, horseshoes, a playground, and a full game room — all yours as a guest. The S. Baden Clubhouse is closest
Free Dollywood ticket with every reservation, plus one complimentary ticket per participating attraction, per day, through our Xplorie concierge program
Two decks — upper deck with dining table, fire pit, and gas grill; lower covered deck with the private hot tub
A real wood-burning fireplace (available October 1 – February 28)
Bonus entertainment room with a retro arcade cabinet, foosball table, big TV, and bunks — built for the cousins-and-kids crew
Vaulted wood ceilings and a wall of windows framing the mountains
Three-car parking right at the door
Step inside
The single step from the driveway opens onto a great room that surprises you with its scale. The vaulted wood ceiling lifts the eye, and a wall of windows pulls the Smokies right into the room. The wood-burning fireplace anchors one side; the oversized flat-screen TV anchors the other. Plush seating in between. The space was built for the moments where some of the group wants a movie and some of the group wants a nap — and somehow it all works.
The kitchen flows directly off the great room with a breakfast bar that doubles as a casual eating spot, a workspace, or just somewhere to lean while the host is cooking. It's fully stocked for home-style meals — full-size appliances, cookware, utensils, dishes, both a Keurig and a drip coffee maker (bring your filters). The dining area just beyond seats the whole group for the big family dinner.
Both main-floor bedrooms — one king, one queen — sit on this same level, each with a private TV and easy access to a full bath. That's the layout that makes this cabin genuinely work for grandparents traveling with the rest of the family: nobody has to climb stairs after a long day.
Outside on the upper deck
Right off the great room, the upper deck is set up for the long mountain evening — an outdoor dining table, a seating area gathered around the fire pit, and a generous gas grill. Cook out, eat out, then pull the chairs closer to the fire and let it get dark.
Down the spiral staircase
The lower level is where the trip really opens up. The bonus entertainment room is the cabin's hidden engine: two twin-over-twin bunks for the kids, a big TV, a foosball table, and a retro arcade cabinet loaded with classics. Just off this room is a third bedroom — a queen with its own TV — and a full bathroom that serves the lower level. There's also a laundry corner with washer and dryer down here.
The lower deck — and the hot tub
Out the back of the lower level, a covered deck holds the private hot tub plus more seating and an outdoor dining setup. Covered = year-round usable. A bubbling hot tub in February with snow in the trees is the kind of memory you don't get back home.
A small resort at your doorstep
Guests of Grand Ole Chalet have full access to all three Mountain Laurel Chalets clubhouses. The S. Baden Clubhouse is closest, and from there you have:
A large outdoor pool with changing rooms and showers
Lighted tennis courts
A gym
Shuffleboard and horseshoes
A playground
A full game room with billiards, ping pong, foosball, checkers/chess, and video games
A three-bedroom Gatlinburg cabin with a gym and a resort pool a short walk away is a rare combination. You're effectively getting the cabin and the resort.
Where you'll be
Atop Ski Mountain, with quick access down to downtown Gatlinburg, the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Ober Mountain Resort (right next door — year-round mountain coaster, chairlift, ice skating, seasonal skiing), and on to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood.
Sleeping arrangements (sleeps 10)
Bedroom 1 (main level): King bed, private TV
Bedroom 2 (main level): Queen bed, private TV
Bedroom 3 (lower level): Queen bed, private TV
Bonus room (lower level): Two twin-over-twin bunks (sleeps 4)
