Our adorable vacation home is located in the High Chalet Condo Community in Gatlinburg - the highest elevation in the Smokies area - and offers breathtaking views of the Smoky Mountains including Mt LeConte.

Sleep above the clouds and be surrounded by the spectacular Great Smoky Mountains. Only 3 minutes to Ober Gatlinburg (Amusement Park and Ski Area) and 12 mins to downtown Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. Our cozy 1 bedroom 1 bath hideaway sleeps up to 4 and has everything you will need for a relaxing escape. With warm and comfortable furnishings, electric fireplace, full kitchen, and a beautiful balcony - you may just want to snuggle up & never leave the condo.

Our community features 2 hot tubs, sauna and a seasonal pool which is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. We also have on-site coin laundry & community game room.

Don't be surprised at all of the wildlife you will see in our community. Bear, deer, rabbits and wild turkey sightings are the norm here. Ample parking, gorgeous views and so much more will make you happy that you chose the Cozy Bear at High Chalet for your escape!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in our one-bedroom rental . Stunning scenery—lush mountain views, peaceful surroundings, and that fresh Smoky Mountain air that instantly puts you in vacation mode.The location couldn’t have been better. We were just minutes from all the top attractions—downtown Gatlinburg, Anakeesta, great restaurants, and all the charming shops. Even better, the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park was practically around the corner, making it incredibly easy to spend our days hiking, exploring waterfalls, and taking in scenic drives.The unit itself was cozy, clean, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Our experience was nice! The area was quite and the views amazing. Just make sure you rent a car. No Uber or Lyft will go up there. This rental is literally the top of the mountain.

We enjoyed the stay it was beautiful! Very clean and quiet. Only thing is the ride up to the condo was just a little intense , which is expected it is on top of a mountain. But overall we loved it. We had seen one bear and the snow is beautiful in the mountains. Loved it!

Wonderful experience

This property is exactly as described. It is at the top of the mountain and we enjoyed the winding roads to reach it. We saw six bear all in the vicinity of the condo. It is located near Pigeon Forge, the Smoky mountains park and close to North Carolina. There is so much to do in this area.

Nice cozy condo in the mountains. The road up to the condo is interesting to say the least. But it’s to be excepted. The place was very clean. Only complaint was the bed is very soft due to a foam pad on the mattress.

We had a great time here. Didn't actually spend a lot of time here, just a landing place for nights. Condo is older but very well kept and clean. We didn't quite have the views out our windows as expected but wasn't a deal breaker for us. Some of the rooms here would have fantastic views. Overall a great experience.

We randomly decided to go on a short vacation. My husband and I brought our girls ages 14 and 10. The property was perfect. The property manager, Gigi, made our time even better. Gave us helpful tips daily including ideas of what to do and cheapest options. The condo we had was a one bedroom. It had a futon in the livingroom the girls used. This futon was the nicest futon I've ever seen. They were very comfortable the whole stay. We will be back again.

Quiet, Serene Getaway

This condo was perfect for a quick refreshing getaway to the mountains. The condo patio faces the roadway however the property is walkable and there are magnificent views of the mountains from benches behind a couple of the buildings. Wonderful places for morning coffee. Around the property there are picnic tables and grills. The property was quiet and safe. Travel up the mountain was easy. Wiley Oakly is your best route as far as a connecting road. Upper and Lower Alpine is ok but of you're worried about mountain travel these can get tight. It was a perfect location to head to anywhwre in Gatlinburg with a snap of your fingers and got you going right up to Clingman's Dome and the trails so fast. I absolutely would return here again whenever I need another breather. The condo has laundry down the exterior hallway.. and everything you need. It was superclean and the furnishings were all super comfortable. This is a great place to getaway!Thank you so much! so c
