The property was perfect for me and my s.o. and family. Just what we needed since my s.o. has been working such long hours for days on end due to Helene.
Very peaceful setting. Not too far from everything, yet you feel like you're in a secluded location. Exactly as pictured and described. Will absolutely stay again!
Absolutely, loved the location! Very clean and orderly. Great space inside and out. Only things that could change would be:
-the sheets are far to stiff and itchy, I'll be bringing out own sheets next time.
-mattresses need to be replaced. None of them are firm in the slightest and sag in the middle. I'll be bringing blow up mattresses for next year.
- poison oak that's growing around the steps out back needs to be sprayed.
Otherwise, we loved it, and are looking forward to coming back.
The cabin was cute and cozy, but it had some things wrong with it that we had to get fixed. They came out really quickly to fix everything. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!
We absolutely love the place. My husband, son, and I stayed for our swcond time for our son's birthday trip. Wish we could come during each season. We came in July.
Beautiful property, easy to find! Plenty of room for our family. The only problem we had was with the toilets. Because it's on a septic system, the toilets would not flushed after a hard rain. If you have a septic system, you know that happens.
Curb appeal needs a lot of work. The fire pit couldn't be used because it was full of debris, the yard was overgrown, trees need low hanging limbs trimmed off of them. Outside needs an overall cleaning as far as cob webs and leaves. Pictures on website makes the outside more inviting then when pulling into the driveway. At 5am the morning of checkout I was awakened by a roof leak to the right of fireplace that was dripping into a metal ash bucket sitting by the fireplace. Hot water in tub is on the right handle and should be on the left because that's not safe when a person thinks they are turning on cold water on the right. A child or elderly person could get scolded. Price point is considerably higher than other STR properties that I have stayed at in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Not sure who the owners of this property is but Aunt Bug's may not be keep up the property like they should. Especially the outside. I would not have rented this property had I seen it before booking. Inside was clean.

Where to start
The house was tastefully decorated and the layout was great. It was far enough away from the main strip to have some seclusion, but close enough to it all that we didn't mind the drive.
The cabin did not seem to have had a deep clean in quite some time. There was dust on all the shelves, and ceiling fans, and air vents. The fridge was not cleaned, neither was the microwave. The main bathroom is in major need of fixing up-moldy caulk lines, tiles chipping and broken........
The cabins AC kept going out- we spent 2 nights without AC, and finally given a different unit to go to.

The cabin's exterior and interior needed some updates and heavy-duty cleaning. Furniture and beds were not comfortable. The exterior was not well manicured, missing light bulbs outside and the leaves and moss-covered sidewalks & driveway were not visible which could have caused accidents and injuries. There was no lock for the trash receptacle. The exterior furniture was disarray and covered in leaves and dirt. Picture windows were dirty, main bath was dirty, toilet issues (slow flush), Huge turn off was that brown water came out of the tub faucet initially, horrible musty and damp odor when we we arrived. Dehumidifiers had not been running, and tanks were full of water and no instructions about those units. Cutting Knives in kitchen were all dull - useless. Kitchen utensils were well used. Missing knobs on drawers and loose electrical outlets and light switches were quirky, and some switches were hidden behind the bathroom door. Fridge had no interior light. Area rugs all looked dirty especially in the main bath. Tile flooring grout looked nasty, and the tub and surround needed to be redone. Cobwebs in the ceiling rafters, dead bugs! Overall, We would not recommend this home to anyone I know. Also, the hot tub looked like it could use a New Filter. This home could be so much better with a good deep cleaning inside & out, new mattresses and bedding and a sparkly clean main bath. The Aunt Bigs team was always helpful with our questions and needs in a timely manner.

Not how it looks...
The pictures look alot nicer than it actually is!! And it wasn't very clean. Lots of cobwebs and dust. And stuff floating in the hot tub. Hair in the bath tub. The table wasn't wiped off had alot of crumbs and prints. And the rugs and couch and chairs and blankets were very outdated and dirty looking. Windows hadn't been cleaned for quite awhile.... We had a good time but it just wasn't a very nice place or clean... if it would have been clean it would have been an amazing place!
The location is no nice, calming and relaxing, perfect for getting away from hectic everyday life! The cabin was charming and cute! We loved it!

Nice cabin with issues
After not getting to our cabin till 445 due to being given an address 30 minutes away to hold out until we were notified through email of the cabins location and code to get in. Had to call because the email was never sent, and wait for someone to tell me something. Hot tub took 24 hours to warm up to temperature. The only shower in the house had black mold all the way around the tub, and the whole back of the shower curtain was covered in mold. Very disappointing for my proposal weekend. Maintenance came on Saturday, with no warning to fix the door lock that was broken. They did offer a discount on a future stay. Point of story is to complain when you get there, and not after you leave. As much as we travel, this was very disappointing.
