Why You'll Love Staying at Eagle’s Nest
Eagle's Nest is a beautiful two-bedroom, two-bathroom Gatlinburg cabin that accommodates up to six guests and boasts sweeping views of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, making it the ideal destination to marvel at the park's glory from the comfort of your own cabin.
Living room
Generous ceiling-to-floor windows let you gaze on expansive mountain views at every turn. Relax in total comfort in the plump, leather recliners, or on the buttery-soft leather sofa with its rustic log trim. Kick back and mellow out in the living room’s loveliness--the stone fireplace, the honey-toned hardwood floor, the soft rug under your bare feet. The cathedral ceiling soars overhead, showing off elegant, exposed beams. Enjoy binging favorite shows or watching sports on the large screen TV.
Kitchen
Visit Gatlinburg’s farmer’s market for the freshest local produce, then hit some local specialty shops for meats, freshly baked goodies, and your favorite treats. Bring it all back to this gourmet kitchen, where you’ll find everything you need to whip up an energizing breakfast, picnic lunch, or family dinner. Working in this kitchen is a pleasure, thanks to the beautiful cabinets in deep espresso tones and the tons of convenient counter space.
Dining
Tucked between the kitchen and the living room, the dining area is just steps from where you’re cooking or relaxing. The charming white wooden table seats four but hides a secret--it can expand to seat more folks. Eagle’s Nest also features a special extra you won’t find at other cabins: A coffee station next to the dining area! Grab a cup of coffee any time of day without getting under the chef’s feet.
Rec Room
The rec room’s comfy couch and thick carpet just beg you to sprawl here, watching TV or playing board games. A new feature: A 50-game “multicade” arcade games console loaded with more fun than you can imagine! Set up a family tournament or challenge yourself on your classic arcade favorites.
Bedrooms
The master bedroom is warmly inviting, from its cozy quilt to its peach walls and rich, dark furniture. Lounge on the king bed or indulge yourself with a soak in the jetted tub.
The second bedroom takes your breath away with its picture windows giving you vistas of the Smoky Mountains outside. From your king bed, you can watch the birds fly by and see the sunrise or nightfall. The room features its own private bathroom, too.
Outdoor spaces
The spacious deck lets you get even closer to the great outdoors, with the convenience of having your coffee or wine close at hand. Join your family or friends at the outdoor table and plan your day in Gatlinburg. Fire up the grill for dinner, or hop into the deck’s hot tub and let it bubble your worries away.

Everything was really nice only downfall was when we got there a bear was in the garage cans and had garbage strolled everywhere we had to sit in car for about 30 minutes until the bear would leave. We had to clean up garbage . Cabin was really nice 😀
Great place, the roads are rough but to be expected. The only down side was the TV and internet. Most of the time there was no service for either.

Should have listened to previous reviews
Showed up excited about this trip. Walked into a pile of dirty laundry, slept in unmade beds, zero paper products, no soaps, dirty untreated hot tub. Apparently the homeowner left it this way. So much for paying a cleaning fee. Colonial properties solution is to place us in another home, nothing at all like we rented or refund us and we are on our own to find another home, 6pm on a weekend in a very busy Gatlinburg. Colonial rep told us we HAD to leave the premises. Made the 1 hour round trip to a store and bought cleaning and paper products and stayed up until midnight cleaning and washing. Cleaning crew showed up the next day while we were away, unannounced, I guess to make things right. Too late. The response the night before to punish me for their screw up made all the worse when we returned to the house, a 10 dollar item missing from our property, never to be found. Had fun after that. It's all what you make it. Back home now and a phone call to colonial told me that they absolutely handled this situation correct. Trust me, they don't care made all the more true in all their canned responses to bad feedback

Place was delivered unclean - dirty towels in bathrooms, dirty sheets on bed, unclena kitchen
I hope the owners of the property see this review. The management company is not doing its job. I walked in the place and we had to clean the bathrooms as well as replace bed linens (clean ones were left in the front living room on a desk as if waiting for the cleaning crew).. dirty sheets on the beds. Dirty towels and open Soaps in the bathroom. Kitchen counter had crumbles on it as if the cleaning crew had not shown up. I called to report this and someone from their team said manager "Amanda" will call me back... never did... they have wifi in the house but checkin instructions did not provide any user/paswd to the wifi. It was weekend and I could not get a hold of anyone (as they are closed on weekends), so went without wifi for a day..The place is beautiful and the house is very well appointed... just wish the management company was doing its job and actually working for the "service fee" and "cleaning fee" that they charge!!
The Chalet appeared a little bigger online than in person but still worked for our four adult family members. The bedrooms, living room and part of kitchen area were spacious, but the game room and dinning area are much smaller space than what I could tell from photos.
Additionally, though we expected winding, steep mountainous roads and had 4WD, (and used to these kind of road because of the where we live) there are very few guard rails on the path to this very, very high chalet; one road was a 13 degree climb and we just kept going.
When the snow storm was due to hit Gatlinburg and we were so much higher in elevation than city center, we were already getting ice making it somewhat dangerous to make our way down to lower elevation before getting stuck driving on ice, which 4WD does nothing for when sliding on roads with no guard rails; had to make a call about the safety of our family so unfortunately, the weather rearranged our entire trip. We were not only out funds, we really didn't get to enjoy the chalet or much in the area as things were all shutting down.
The location of this property is beautiful! Nothing beats looking out of your windows and seeing the Smokey Mountains! We also spotted bears multiple times!
The property could use some TLC when it comes to cleanliness. We did find mouse poop in the cupboards and dust in quite a few places. We also could have used more towels in the kitchen area.

Colonial Properties Provide Excellent Services
The cabin itself needs some TLC. The drive to the cabin was steep and narrow, and a little scary at times. You have to be alert and drive very carefully at every turn. The property managers were very professional and excellent to work with from start to finish. I would give them a five star rating. They addressed any concerns and assured all of our needs were met efficiently. Check in and check out was very good without any concerns.

My stay
Washer wouldn’t work so couldn’t do laundry . Which was a very big problem!
It was a beautiful cabin. Everything was as stated. We was very satisfied. And we got up close encounters with bears. Nothing dangerous. We will be using this cabin again.
This place was pretty awesome! Fully stocked with everything that we needed. I do have to agree with the other review in terms of the road up the mountain, it was kind of scary! But once you arrive, the views are beautiful!
This was an amazing property! I never expected that drive up the mountain, it took me a few days to not be horrified while driving! The view was worth it! I also didn’t expect to see so many bears!! In the driveway, on the road, in the backyard off the deck- it was more than we could have imagined! Thank you, we are already planning a trip back!
