I rated overall 3 due to house being beautiful with an amazing view. Bears were amazing to see everyday! As we are a big family it was accommodating for us all. The issue was we were charged for a pool stick that was already broken upon an our arrival. Second was the AC not working in the bedroom three. All week it was super uncomfortable to even be in there. After maintenance was called out the issue wasn’t fixed, it was still super hot in there. Downstairs sink was clogging up.
We loved the views from the property and the daily visits from the bears. The host was easily accessible and responded quickly to messages. The kitchen was well appointed and we loved the large seating area. Our kids enjoyed the game area upstairs. Several items were broken in the house but were shared with the property manager who states they will be fixed after our departure.
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The check in process was smooth and we did not run into any issues during our stay. We loved everything about the cabin from the amount of space, views, bear sightings, etc.
Very nice and big cabin. The 2 queen sized bunk beds in the one room was very good for our group! Large clean kitchen and plenty of room for all of us to eat! View is amazing. Please lock all you car doors if you stay here as many bears seen in the area and the cabin next to us, the bear actually opened the car door and ransacked the car!
It’s a great place for a large group and pets. There were just two of us and two little dogs so the fees were very high for two people. Good location. Some of the games a bit tired. Same with jacuzzi. Tv remotes a real challenge. Fantastic view
Spent the weekend here with a church youth group while in Gatlinburg for a youth rally. The house is beautiful and well kept. Very well stocked kitchen with plenty of dishes and silverware. It needed a couple of pitchers for tea and lemonade- but very minor compared to some other places we've stayed. Plenty of tools to cook with and grill with as well as pots and pans. The host was very communicative prior to arrival. The property was available on time as promised. We appreciated the notification of what would be available and what we should bring with us. As for the views, they were beautiful! The kids loved the movie rooms, arcade games, and the pool table. The only complaint we had which is no fault of the host is that all the bathrooms are off of the bedrooms. There's not a common bath/ half bath on the main level that people can use... and it felt a little awkward for the kids sleeping on the pull out couches to feel like they were going into someone's room to use a bathroom. Weird floor plan thing, not a host thing. We were very happy with the stay and would recommend considering this property and its host.
I would have giving it 5 start on everything but the door knobs were not good in many doors. The had 2 stoves, 3 microwave, but one fridge?? For such a large home. But the one that bug us the most was the shower water pressure was horrible it would come and go instantly specially when you had to rinse shampoo from hair. Water pressure was very bad. Also it would nice the theater had a surround sound, the sound was disappointing.

TOO many bugs!
Number of rooms for large group very adequate. However, crawling millipeds were literally everywhere morning, noon and night. We swept and stepped on thousands and more were always found on floors, walls, bathtubs. Shoes had to be worn at all times for all of us! Something like this impacts the comfort of everyone. Certainly being in the woods , critters are always expected but this went WAY beyond as the floors on all three levels were always covered in the morning , during the day and especially at night. Spent way too much time sweeping up these in order to walk in the cabin.
IN addition, we arrived at the appointed check in time of 4 and found the cabin being cleaned with trash everywhere, bed quilts and pillows on the floors (covered with bugs) none of the bathrooms clean, refrigerator was dirty and was told when we contacted Cabins for You...that "it was guarranted by 6pm" but that was no where in our confirmation.
And this was our first family vacation....
We loved this place! The location is very private, near the top of the mountain, with beautiful views. We'll definitely book again the next time we're in Gatlinburg.
This cabin is perfect for a large family vacationing in the Gatlinburg area. I can't thank the booking team enough for helping at the last minute. We were staying in another cabin nearby that was NOT what was advertised online. The final straw was when the air conditining stopped working. Thankfully the team managing this cabin worked quickly so we were able to move to it within the day. Thank you!
The cabin is at the end of a street so it is quiet, although it may be difficult to reach in winter if there is snow/ice on the streets. Since it is the last cabin, we saw lots of wildlife right outside our door - including multiple black bears with their cubs! The cabin was clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay here again.
