"Spacious apartment conveniently located. Large living room, good for gathering. TV room couch would benefit from a little more padding, but that is a minor thing. Well-stocked kitchen. We occupied the rear bedroom. We could tell when the restaurant below got started for the morning, mostly because of the low hum of the ventilation fan, but it was not annoying and it didn't wake us up. The 2 bedrooms are at opposite ends of the apartment, for a bit more privacy.It was too cold to try the deck on the rear. Probably nice in better weather.To reach the rear parking, enter the alley off Linden St. and drive all the way back. Look for the building with the wooden stairs going up to the 2nd floor. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return some time."

"The room was great, restaurant downstairs was great. The reason I gave 3 stars is the noise from the restaurant/bar kept me up until 4 am. I realize it was a holiday (valentine's day) but that was a little too much."

"This is a great place! You always see listings for places that sleep 8...as long as three of them don't mind sleeping on the floor or pull out couches. Carla's place offers comfortable sleeping for 8 adults in 4 real bedrooms (no alcoves) and no bunkbeds.The rest of the place is great too. Plenty of nicely decorated space for 8 adults. large rooms, lots of comfortable seating, Big kitchen. Nice outdoor space as well. The hosts are accommodating and attentive with great communication. A truly great stay!"

"We were a group of 23 (mix of adults/kids) driving from Chicago for a small group retreat. Upon arrival at 9pm, the driveway was snowed in with 3 inches of snow where 2 cars were stuck at the bottom of the driveway. When I called Sage (guest services) for assistance, she stated that "we would have sent someone tonight, but it cannot be helped until the next morning." When I reached out again, stating that this is a safety issue as we have nowhere to park our cars until tomorrow (we had about 7 cars in our group), and asked again for someone to come tonight, I received the same answer. They eventually sent someone after I persisted over 30 minutes. Once the snow removal arrived, it took another hour for the job to be completed - so several of us had to wait on the street until it was done, preventing us from entering and settling into the home until 11pm. Walkway and stairs were not shoveled or salted - we had to do this on our own.Keurig was not usable - the water case appeared to not have been changed for a very long time, as there was mold in the water.Utensils/dishes were not clean. We had to rewash it by hand before using it because the dishwasher would leave a strange white residue on it. The smoke alarm had a low battery that required changing. This disturbed some of us while sleeping and posed a safety concern as we had to remove the whole alarm.Overall house was clean, but lots of little things that disrupted our stay. "
