I'm sorry to hear that you didn't feel comfortable in the area at night. I suspect that there are safer places in the US but I have lived only a few blocks from here for nearly a decade and this is maybe the safest place i have have every lived. I hope you will give us another chance in the future.

We were given our keys to a room that hadn't been cleaned from a previous guest. When we addressed the issue, the front desk attendant said they would provide new room and a $65.00 credit for the inconvenience, but we were charged the full/original price. At a minimum they should honor that.

We did have something that nearly never happens where housekeeping missed a room and front desk marked it as clean. That should not happen again. When you told us what happened we were horrified so we upgraded you to a premium room and even refunded you 65.12. That typically isn't something we can even do through a third party reservation, but we were able to make a special exception specifically for you. We hope that you choose to stay with us again in the future.

Nice, clean, comfortable room. very quiet, even with my room being near stairwell. free breakfast was good. staff all very friendly. only objection was, parking was small, as I drive a full size pickup truck.

Staff was amazing! Property needs improvement. Loved the area to clean up crab and clams. The hotel itself is very outdated. No sauna no not tub very small pool. It seems as if the owner doesn’t want to make any improvements. Staff was amazing!

Thank you for taking the time to rate and review us. You are correct, There are defiantly some areas that need to be improved or updated. Thankfully the owner has been really investing back into the property. We have brand new linens, new washing machines, The spa and sauna are nearly fully repaired, we have repaired the sign out front, we are working on replacing all the mattresses and furniture, we have new coffee machines in the rooms and the breakfast room, and much more is coming.

We enjoyed our stay at The Hotel Garibaldi. Our room and common areas were clean, it was quiet, and breakfast selection wasn't too bad. The eggs and sausage bowl was delicious. Walking distance to restaurants, gas stations, and the Oregon Scenic Railroad. Unfortunately the spa was down which seems to happen often and pool was a bit too cold. But overall, I would stay here again.

Unfortunately, I picked this hotel because of the spa/ hot tub and both were out of service at the time of our visit. The hair dryer wouldn’t work & neither did the coffee pot, but since it was probably cleaner to heat hot water in micro, it wasn’t much of a problem and wet hair wasn’t an issue for me. The hotel sits “up” from the main road that runs through town and instead of leveling the foundation around the bldg, they put all of the walks in front at weird different slants which makes it VERY difficult to walk up if you have any balance or walking problems. When I causally asked about it the man working the desk scoffed at me and mentioned he’d worked there over 3 yrs and they’ve never had a problem. I didn’t mention that I had however, hurt myself & threw out my hip walking down to my car, since I’m just kinda a klutz at 63! The bldg itself is over 100 yrs old & I must say, they’ve done a lovely job decorating & cleaning inside - no smells! Not the best place to stay if you have kids since you do need to drive to get to beach, and this time of year, spring break, they roll up the sidewalks by 7pm which makes getting dinner a bit iffy at times

We regret that the spa was not advertised as "out of service" on bookings website. He have been working with them to resolve this but there is work still to do on their end. Thank you for brining to our attention the concerns and perspective you shared about the difficulty some may have with the slanted entry way. That's an insight we would like to look into. And I'm with you, we should petition our local restaurants to stay open later into the evening. There are a couple places that stay open later but it would be nice to have more options after 8pm.

We had an overnight stay, we had never been to Garibaldi. It was a fairly easy check in process, comfortable beds, I appreciate the breakfast options and it was fun to hang out at the pool with my kids.

Very well located close to Garibaldi's main attractions. Room was clean and neat. Only negative is that the pool water temperature was not better controled. I've talked to another family who was disapointed by that si we choosed to avoid that.

It was good. As long as you dont eat their waffles or biscuits and gravy. We'll just say the bathroom was a frequent trip i had to make throughout the day for me and my daughter. The room was clean. The beds were nice. Only things were the other guests jumping around above us late at night. Staff was friendly as well.

Super nice!
The exterior looked a little blah but when we got inside we were blown away by the lobby. The room was very nice as well. Very comfy. Breakfast was pretty good. The only bummer was that the sauna was out of commission.

We thought this was a good value for this region of the Oregon coast. Our only unfulfilled wish was a better breakfast. Microwaved eggs is never a good idea, and the only breakfast tea they had was decaf.

Christmas Train excursion
Our experience was excellent. Check in was smooth and easy. Jeremy at the front desk was very helpful and even gave us fresh cookies right out of the oven. Room was spacious and comfortable. We highly recommend this place. Very close to the depot for the Christmas Train.

Checked in with a really rude man behind the desk, but the gentleman on the morning shift was very pleasant. Spa was broken, no heads up before booking... Pool is not heated. Elevator may or may not work for the 3rd floor. Bathroom door only opened halfway before jamming into the floor, it needed repair. Bathroom fan didn't work. Beds are comfortable and room size was nice. Fridge and micro in the room.

They have been working hard on updating. Everything was neat and clean. Jeremy was awesome, even brought a cart out for our bags and helped take them to our room. Great selection for breakfast too.

This was a very nice hotel stay! Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel was clean and in good condition. There was parking in front and back of the hotel for easy access. The breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast. We were a bit disappointed that the hot tub and sauna were closed but they were upfront about the closure and offered a full refund of the stay.

It was close to crabbing! And it had a pool and a hot tub. The pool was cold and the hot tub was broken. The breakfast was ok it could use some more protein!

The location is very convenient. Dog friendly. The address is impossible to find on GPS. it’s across from Chevron. Sauna/spa was closed but they would offer free cancellation at check-in if it was a deal breaker. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was mostly grab and go plus waffles.

Mattress needs replaced
I've stayed here before and the bed was perfect! However this last time we had room 302 and the bed was awful and needs replaced. My only complaint, otger than the mayress in that room its a perfect place to stay. Must eat at the Pirate cove restaurant too!
