Mountain Retreat, Spacious Cabin on 2.5 acres, firepit and trails
Escape to this stunning cabin nestled in the mountains of Garden Valley, surrounded by natural beauty and outdoor adventure. Perfect for families seeking a peaceful retreat, our spacious 2600 square foot property offers 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
Take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding woods through the large windows and explore the private 2.5 acres of naturally wooded backyard, complete with a firepit, multiple trails, and sledding hills. In the winter, enjoy sledding down the hills with the provided sleds and tubes . Or in summer simply relax and take in the serenity of the surroundings. Enjoy a beautiful campfire on a starry night. 4 wheel drive is needed in the winter.
Lots of activities for kids! Foosball table, ping pong have, board games, and a custom made full-size arcade! (with dozens of preloaded classic NES, SNES, and Sega games). We love board games and puzzles, and it comes equipped with lots of both.
The cabin comes with high-speed internet - great for movies and shows on the large flat screen TV. The primary bedroom has an office nook with 2 screens, keyboard and mouse in case you need to get some work in over your stay.
Our property is only a 5 minute walk away from Terrace Lakes Resort, which has a Club House, restaurant, golf course, sledding hill, and hot springs heated pool (great in the winter!).
Our summer favorites: * A campfire after sunset * Swimming at Terrace Lakes * Reading a good book on the deck in the morning * Ping pong and foosball tournaments * Summer barbeque on the deck * Watching outdoor plays at Starlight Theater * Relaxing in the sunroom with the backyard view * Stargazing in the backyard after sundown * Floating the Middlefork river (you can find inner tubes in the garage) * ATV or dirt bikes the nearby trails (you can rent ATVs in Crouch)
Our winter favorites: * Sledding in the backyard forest (we have custom designed sledding hills!) * Building snow caves * Watching the snowfall from the sunroom * Cozying up near the pellet stove and reading a good book * Sledding at Terrace Lakes hill * Soaking in the hot springs pool at Terrace Lakes
The cabin is equipped with A/C and forced air for heat, as well as a pellet stove for added comfort and warmth. Located close to Garden Valley's many attractions, including hiking, rafting, floating the river, golfing, hotspring pools, snowmobiling, ATVs, cross-country skiing and more, you'll never run out of things to do. Don't miss this opportunity for a truly unforgettable vacation experience.
Now a few house rules. There is absolutely no smoking. Also no pets are allowed at the cabin due to severe animal allergies. Outdoor quiet hours are between 10 PM and 7 AM - please keep our mountain quiet and peaceful during the night! This is not a party house.
We hope you love our cabin as much as we do!

We had a great stay at the cabin. We wish there was more snow but we were able to go on the sleigh ride and shop at our favorite little gem the "Payette Forward" Thrist shop! Thank you for allowing us to stay at your amazing cabin!
A beautiful space for a mountain retreat. Fun things for the kids to do and explore and peaceful locations for the adults to relax. Well stocked kitchen and board game room. Highly recommend!
The home is great. It’s clean. It’s located well near Terrace Lakes Resort and Crouch. The elevated platform down the trail is really nice. Lots of deer and quail every day. It’s comfortable and our grandsons love all the game tables, video game, and puzzles.
We had a wonderful time at this cabin! We enjoyed relaxing and taking in the views alongside a ping-pong battle in the basement. Great location near the Terrace Lakes Resort and other restaurants and bars in Crouch. I’d say there is something for everyone.
The windows in the cabin were our favorite part of the house. The cabin was clean and well stocked with dishes and kitchen items, so if you’re planning on cooking, it’s ideal. The game room is also well stocked and that was fun for the whole family. We are already thinking about our next trip to this cabin!
The cabin was large, and clean, in a great location. Everything worked fine, the beds were comfortable, and the view was fantastic. Checking in and checking out was a breeze. The owners were positive and prompt in their communications. I can’t recommend this place enough. It was a great experience!
Although nestled amongst several other residence this home feels secluded abd is so quiet! We enjoyed seeing elk, deer, and beautiful snowflakes from the floor to ceiing windows!
We have family in the area, and having a large open space to enjoy was perfect for dinners! The hosts have provided games, activities, and an adventure guide appropriate for all ages, and it was well thought out. Overall, 10 out of 10 would recommend!
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin in the woods. The house was spacious for our family. It had games, puzzles and other things for us to do while at the house. We felt right at home.
We came up for a long weekend and enjoyed our stay at Crouch Cabin. It was close to town when we needed/wanted to run in. The house was great—amazing layout and spaces for all 6 of us to be without being on top of each other. The trails were fun to walk in and the fire pit was great for S’Mores. We loved how quiet it was. The wildlife was so fun! Deer, Elk, wild turkeys, and a family of quail with the most adorable babies. Hosts were quick to reply to any questions we had. We’d definitely stay again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin in Terrace Lakes. The cabin and large lot have a very private feel which is important to us. Our family loves games and this cabin was perfectly appointed to keep all ages entertained. We can't wait to stay again!
We had a wonderful time and great accommodations! The host provided excellent communication regarding our stay including weather & snow updates. The sledding hill behind the house entertained the boys for hours.
The most amazing place To spend your weekends. Very homey, lots to do . Variety of games for the entire family. I loved it. Definately recommended avery one to check it out.
We we're very surprised about the amount of space this cabin truly has, there was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy your time there. You are very close to the golf course and clubhouse/pool which makes it great for quick entertainment. We didn't have enough time to enjoy the trails and fire pit area, but they looked great and a good place to relax in the mountains.
A group of quilters retreat together. Beautiful home with everything we needed for a wonderful, relaxing time with great friends. Elk and deer walked right by the large windows. Beautiful time of year.
The property was great. The host was very responsive to inquiries. It was clean. We loved the wildlife. There was plenty of inside activities for adults and children.
The house was great and there was plenty to do for the kids. The hosts were prompt getting back to us with our questions. It is a very private location. We enjoyed playing games by the pellet stove and enjoyed s’mores at the outside fire pit. We will definitely return.
My family and I really loved staying at this cabin! Our kids are 12, 16 and 18 and they enjoyed all the fun things to do at the cabin, in Crouch and at the Terrace Lakes Resort. My husband and I especially enjoyed sitting around the pellet stove in the evenings. The view from the sunroom is spectacular. The cabin is very spacious so we all have plenty of room to spread out. The hosts were extremely responsive and very helpful even before we left for our trip.
We would definitely recommend this place.
Our kids loved the arcade, ping pong, foosball, board games, and puzzles. There is plenty of room to spread out and the sleeping areas are nice and clean.
The clubhouse pool was fun and a great way to spend a few hours. Definitely get the fries and the pool bar has a nice selection of hard ciders.
The owners were very responsive when we had a quick question about the garbage.
There were just a couple of minor issues that kept us from giving it an overall 5 star review.
This was a great place for our family/extended family get-away. We had people ages 14-84 and everyone had a great time! It rained alot of our stay but we had an amazing view and lots of activities inside. We weren't able to get the arcade games to work which was a little bit of a bummer for our teens, but there was ping pong, foosball, lots of board games, puzzles and excellent wi-fi. The rain let up one day so we got to explore the trail on the property as well as have a fire in the pit which both were a nice plus. Overall we had a wonderful stay, hosts were excellent, would definitely recommend.
We rented this cabin for our week-long family quilt retreat (9 quilters and 3 spouses). We originally had another cabin reserved that fell through last minute, and we were so glad it did after staying here! This was the perfect place for us, and we enjoyed it inside and out! Everyone had plenty of room to spread out, quilt, and sleep comfortably. There were plenty of games and puzzles for entertainment, and it was lovely to just sit on the deck and enjoy the view. The hosts were quick to respond, helpful, and super easy to work with. They've put a lot of thought into making their cabin a welcoming place - they even had a space heater for the lower level bedroom which would have been quite chilly otherwise despite it being June. Overall, we loved our stay and hope to rent it again for next year's retreat!
