Love this lodge the kitchen has everything you need and more. everyone is always entertained with the gym and pool. we stay there for a youth retreat and we go to beaver mountain for a ski day but it is great to come back to a very comfortable place!

This is a beautiful home with plenty of space and plenty to do. We had a group of 32 there and everyone stayed entertained. They really do have everything you will need for your stay. Nice and close to stores and restaurants. Would love to stay here again someday.

Very nice vacation home- has it all!

Great place to bring a family. The indoor pool and gym were really fun. For our group we could have used one more regular bedroom and two bunk rooms. Having three big bunk rooms was a bit much, but if you had 30 or 40 it would make sense.

Perfect house

Perfect house for a large family trip. The house had everything you can think of. Kitchen is very well stocked, lots of pool towels. The kids loved the pool and indoor sport court. Everything was very clean and well thought out.

Spring Break Youth Retreat

Place was spacious concrete floor was easy but the home echoes. Pool was awesome and hot tub. Gymnasium was fun but tile floor does not work with pickle ball, no bounce. Kitchen needed more/better utensils and refrigerator was very loud with grinding noise which echoed upstairs and interrupted sleeping. Hosts were not responding to email or messages, we could not fine the binder with instructions for departure

Best weekend of our lives.

We booked this house for our wedding weekend. We took all of our guests boating friday and had a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception on Saturday. This house was the perfect spot for the occasion. The host was amazing they mowed the lawn down the day before the wedding and many of our other requests were satisfied. The communication was excellent. Every person that attended the wedding told me how beautiful the house was. The pool and hot tub was the cherry on top. What a beautiful home.

life at bear lake

The house is beautiful with plenty of room. The pool adds a lot of fun. the sports court was a hit for our family of 25 that stayed there. we made brackets for pickle ball, basketball 21, basketball golf, basketball horse. a great time was had by all. There were a couple of problems; the promised notebook to explain how everything works is no longer used, one large sign by the fridge which leaves you guessing about how to run the swamp cooler upstairs, no ice though there were two freezers none of the ice makers work, There was parking galore. the rooms were spacious/comfortable.

Great place for big families!

This place is amazing! The owners and the property manager were so good to work with us and some special circumstances we had. There was so much to do even though the weather was not ideal. With an indoor pool, a hot tub, sport court and massive gathering areas for board games and visiting we were never at a loss for things to do. There was something for everyone with ages ranging from 3-72! The kitchen is fully stocked with all the appliances and cooking equipment we needed. We were celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary as well as reuniting with family members that we hadn't seen for 1-2 years. It truly was an amazing place to create some memories that will be cherised always!!

Winter review

Cons: The pool had a part break, that was a real bummer. The property manager was up front about the issues and kept us in the loop about getting it fixed. A holiday in the middle of our stay made getting it fixed take longer. It was eventually resolved. Luckily we had the hot tub. The floors are concrete in the main living areas. They are freezing in the winter. The gas fireplace is great but if you run it to keep the great room warm the bedrooms are freezing. All of the thermostats reset so we didn't have much control of the heat besides the fireplace. Pros: the kids loved the basketball court! It kept them busy for hours! The house was clean. The area is super quiet. We loved our daily visits from Max the barn cat. We have already booked our next stay!

Great Place for our Youth Conference

We stayed with about 30 people including adults and youth ages 14 -18. We had plenty of beds and room. The beds were comfortable. The room that sleeps 12 with double beds stacked 3 high was tight. I would not expect adults to sleep there. It would be better to have less beds in that space because the head clearance was so tiny. We really loved the pool and the sports court.The kitchen was big and easy to cook in. I’ll point out later the few things we felt we wished we had in the kitchen. We would totally stay here again and highly recommend the place. Things we wished we would have known before our stay. Shoes are not allowed inside the house. Bring slippers! The floors were cold. Only tennis shoes are allowed in the sports court. There are lots of pool towels. However all the pool towels must be washed and folded before you leave (check out) of the property. That meant no swimming on the morning we checked out. Which was fine but not what we expected. There was exactly one regular bath towel per person / bed space provided by the property. If you are a person who needs a towel for your hair and for your body and to stand on or you don’t like to reuse towels then bring your own towels. There are two washing machines you can use to wash towels during your stay. The garage fridge froze some of our fresh vegetables and fruit and we had to throw them out. So make sure you don’t pack the garage fridge very tight and keep vegetables away from the back of the f

Family Reunion

We loved our stay at Black Moose. The home was spacious, clean and in a great location. Plenty of room for the 40 of us. The large indoor pool was a big hit with everyone as well as the large indoor basketball/ pickleball court. The yard was very large and worked great for our outdoor activities. We could walk to all the eating out options. Plenty of parking for the eight cars.
