"This is my 5th stay at the Kastanienhof. It is located conveniently across S-Bahn and bus station, short bus ride to the airport. The room was lovely and clean. I absolutely love their buffet breakfast, so good. The hotel is a short, pleasant walk from the beautiful old downtown with a great variety of restaurants and shops. Kastanienhof is my go-to Airport Hotel."

"It was a lovely hotel. It was very clean, and the room was great. The sauna and pool area were well maintained, and the staff was kind and helpful. I went to the Italian restaurant just across the street, and they did not accept credit cards (yes, it still happens in rural Germany). At the reception, the manager was kind and gave me 50 euros to get my driver's license back, which I had to leave at the restaurant. I will definitely go back if the chance presents itself. "

"Nice quiet area and short walk to bus. No refrigerator and microwave so not ideal for long stays. No elevator so not good for disabled. Staff is friendly and show respect. Nice residential neighborhood, gives you that local feel."
