Our Stay in Galway
The property served our needs but the accomodations were quite dated and somewhat in need of repair. For example, one hinge of the upstairs toilet seat was broken. I'm sure the owner would have repaired if we had asked (as he was very accomodating) but we did not mention it as we mainly used the downstairs toilet. The flushing mechanism of the downstairs toilet was somewhat faulty as it sometimes did not flush properly. The sinks are rather outdated as there are separate spouts for hot and cold. Thus, one can wash their face with very hot or cold water but not warm water. These are not major criticisms, just comments to the owner for potential updating and repair jobs. We enjoyed ourselves very much and thank the owners for their very friendly hospitality.

A gem!
This is the second time we have stayed. The first time was 15 years ago. It still has charm, perfect location, all the amenities needed ans a wonderful host in Sean.

Great convenient location
We had a great stay, and the location of the property was really perfect for us. The Promenade was about 45 secs away, the wedding at the Salthill Hotel was a 15 min walk, and the town center also 15 minutes. Grocery store literally across the road, and parking was easy. The apartment had 3 rooms and a good kitchen dining area. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Thank you!

Just okay.
The location of the property was convenient to the Salthill area, but not within walking distance to the city center. The apartment was dirty - mold in the bathroom and bedroom. We were counting on the washer/dryer, but the machine in the unit was very tiny. John told us it was "for socks & underwear". The laundrette was just across the street, but it wasn't what we were expecting.

Lovely home in a perfect, beautiful location!
This apartment was clean and cozy. The beds were comfy and the place is bright and lovely. It is an easy walk to the Seaside Promenade, the Latin Quarter and many fine restaurants and taverns. Check-in was easy, home was easy to find. We loved our stay!

Christmas in galway
Perfect place for our families gathering. Very comfortable , clean and close to the prom! . The upstairs area is private from the main floor and is huge with two beds and bath. Main floor bedrooms were a good size as well. Nice grocery/deli across the street was really a plus. I felt the townhouse was nicer than photos show. We would highly recommend Gratton Place! Sean was helpful and answered questions promptly.

Great Location
We had a great stay. Perfect for family of 4. Location was excellent. 20 min walk to downtown but lots of great pubs just down the street if you wanted to stay close to home. Sean was a great host. Thanks again!

Great location for a stay in Galway/Salthill
Salthill was a fun place to visit with easy walking to Galway City. The rental was clean, spacious and fit our needs very well. Morton’s of Galway offered a wide variety of fine foods and bakery items and was just across the street. Sean was a excellent host. He was very friendly and offered multiple useful suggestions about things to do during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean and comfortable but a bit dated
Five of us had a comfortable stay and we walked to Galway city and Salthill town easily. The beds were ok but some were a little uncomfortable. Easy access to agrocery shop across street. Outside photo of building is not quite what it is in real life but all in all a good stay. Sean was lovely and very helpful.

An OK place, walking distance to most things around
The property was located very well but the amenities weren’t up to the mark. The appliances are all super old , dishwasher is gone, heaters in living area weren’t working, fridge was off when we got there, took a few hours to cool and so on. Mattresses weren’t really comfortable either. Basically it is nice place but needs upgrading.

Holiday in Salthill
We spent a week at this property and enjoyed our stay very much. It is a great base for both Salthill and Galway. Beach and all amenities are only 5 min walk away. Plenty to do closeby. Sean met us on arrival and was very helpful and informative about everything.. We will book again.

Central location, So convenient to city.
Cheap and cheerful… if you want luxury you’ll pay higher prices for the area… This is an ideal location for holidays and you have a very nice store with a fab meat and deli counter across the street for dining in… We found the outdoor dining in Ireland very cold… we were frozen and there’s no pleasure in that….

Perfect place to stay
We had a lovely week in Salthill despite the weather being a little mixed. The location of the property was ideal, our car was parked in their private carpark and we rearly needed to use it as the property is only a few minutes from the beach, shops and restaurants. We were met by Sean's son Cathal and he was very informative about our property and gave us a very good insight of our surroundings by recommending restaurants and golf courses, public transport information if needed. Bumped into Sean (proprietor) on a few occasions and he was equally very welcoming and nice. I would have no hesitation in recommending this ideal property and I hope to return to it next year and enjoy another lovely staycation.

Nice apartment
Ideally situated. One minute walk away from beach., town centre, shop, playground, bus stop. And it's a quiet area so it's nice and relaxing. Stayed here with my family and we all loved it.

Helpful owner, check-in quick and easy and lots of good tips on Galway. The house was clean, spacious and comfortable and in a nice location almost on the Salthill promenade, and a 24 hour shop very nearby.
