Orignially I thought that the location was out of town but actually it was really well located. It was a little hard to find but once found it was great. We brought wine in the town but couldn't drink it as the corkscrew was broken. We texted the host and she drop a corkscrew the next day.
Thanks
Although the location was amazing, that’s all that went right with this property. Our arrival was late in the evening so we wanted to go to bed right away. The king bed collapsed beneath upon just sitting on it. I reported to the manager immediately and after 16hrs, and a sleepless night, there was still no reply. I sent an urgent message and finally got a response. Also the hot water did not work in the main bathroom so three of us had to share the tiny en suite. The bed did get fixed but the shower never ended up working.
The communication from the management was full of apologies but no reasonable solution.
The price was already steep, we felt, and now we are upset about having booked it all.

Mostly Great with minor issues
Good: Fabulous location with water view and lawn area (public) out front right on the river outlet. Plenty of space with comfortable beds and linens. Issues annoying but nothing disqualifying
Less than great: Instructions were sometimes confusing (I have many rental experiences, have dealt with every level of owner communication; I'd give this one a grade of C. This is partly due to owner telling us to refer to binder in unit that was nowhere to be found - we searched thoroughly). Don't plan on doing laundry. Listing includes a combo washer / dryer that is incredibly noisy and doesn't dry no matter how long you run it. Owner sent someone to "fix it" and said "put fewer things in it." We had 2 pants and one shirt in it. Fewer meaning 1 item?
Cold shower - the large bathroom with walk in shower ran only cold water. The tiny shower in master bedroom had heating unit that worked fine so we used that one. About the size of a cruise ship shower while the one that didn't have hot water was big and modern.
Other little things: Parking is opposite side of large complex about 7 minute walk for me; Glad it wasn't raining). Instructions to it were confusing but I figured it out.
Internet code stuff was confusing (instructions on internet box in unit and password on router all different than what came in a long text message from owner).
Light switches made no sense - 2 days and never figured them out and one lamp in living room could only be turned off by unplugging it.
Nimmo's Nest was perfect for three ladies through Ireland! It was very well appointed and had everything we needed for our five day stay. It was very centrally located to the docs and to the Spanish arch/Latin quarter. Will stay again when we wake our way back to Galway!
Good location for daytime walking access to the town and Salthill; at night, there may be people sleeping rough near the property and questionable people around the Spanish Arch and the docks; driving access is another matter, as Galway traffic is a nightmare. The toilet in the large bathroom needs attention, as it often sounds like a foghorn when filling. The two-bed bedroom would be tight for 2 adults, as the beds are long and leave little room to move around them. Overall, the property works well for a short stay.
Michelle was a great host. Very timely in response and very helpful. I would recommend checking this place out while you are in Galway. Very convenient to city center.
Great location within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and bars. The flat was perfect in every way and had onsite reserved parking! I'd recommend this 100%
I’m not sure what I loved more, starting each day with the view of the bay and sea air, or the very short walk to breakfast in the Latin quarter each morning
We stayed in this apartment for three nights and everything was wonderful. It’s a nice, quiet part of the city located very close to the Latin Quarter. The beds were comfortable and we were grateful for the washer/dryer. Would definitely stay here again!
Spacious apartment in an excellent location - just a few minutes walking and you were in the heart of Galway. Included parking spot was so helpful to have as well. Highly recommend!
Had a great time in Galway staying here. It was clean, modern, and well kept. Also, the location is outstanding. The only challenge was driving into Galway during rush hour which was crazy and figuring out where the front door of this place was on the building. Once we found the place, everything was just as we told in the instructions.
Great location, both close to the city center but far enough away to be quiet. Accommodations were clean , kitchen adequately stocked,a nice view of the harbor and the most comfortable beds we have had on our trip. Galway is
great town And close to other places to see. In

The apartment was lovely with an amazing view of Galway Bay. The downside was that teenagers congrate outside in the evening, playing load music and leaving a lot of rubbish and broken glass.
Perfect location with a beautiful view! Our family of 5 fit comfortably in this home. Home is up to date and clean. The hall bath was a treat with a large shower! The first night We did have an issue with a large group of kids drinking right out front, throwing bottles & urinating. The Garda showed up and the kids dispersed and did not return. So other than that it was a perfect stay in walking distance to everything!

Good property but issue with bathroom
The property was well located and comfortable however we were unable to use the main shower and sink as it flooded due to a blockage. Initially the property management responded swiftly to our messages but when we asked for compensation, silence. Still waiting to date for news since 31 may. Chased but have not responded.

Vrbo not responsive
Four people, three nights. Before leaving the US I requested checkin information because I anticipated communication problems given cell phone differences. Two attempts and all I was told was we would receive that info on the day of our arrival. Cell phone with new SIM wouldn't work on the day of arrival after traveling all night. Frustrating. Finally begged a laptop from a local pub and got our checkin info...very late.
Apartment was clean. Parking is a l o n g way from the apartment. After being up and traveling for over 30 hours a shower was in order. The main bath shower drain was clogged and flooded the bathroom. Called host, "Jown" who said she would call after hours plumber and replace the soaked towels. Next day another flood so called host again. Also, a roiving band of noisy, drunken teenagers hanging around the apartment. One threw a vodka bottle against the front door. I cleaned up the broken glass. Reported same to Jown who, wanting to accommodate us, said she would process a refund for our stay. That was a month ago, no refund, and repeated emails with Vrbo only advise they are working on "rectifying the situation." This means what?
Thus, I do not recommend this property or VRBO.
The location of the property was perfect, easy walk to the Medieval Quarter. We liked that the flat was on lowest level as one in our party was disabled. Everything was great, although fans would have been great to have given the outside temperature was 28 degrees C. Michelle was very responsive to our questions and the check in information was very detailed. Free parking space was great too!
This property was very clean, it had all the amities needed for a long stay. Just a short walk on the Long Walk to shop's and restaurants. The area was great for younger crowds but quite enough for us older adults. It was a little hard to find the actual apartment with in the building site. Parking was just a short walk away and was secured. Over all I would defiantly recommend the property highly.
Overall this was an excellent place for our stay in Galway as one of our party is disabled, uses a cane and walks slow. The proximity to central Galway was important for him as was the ground floor access and large walk- in shower. The property was very clean, beds were comfortable with 2 pillows per person, adjustable heat, wi-fi that worked well, washer/dryer, basic supplied kitchen. The only issue we had was drying clothes as the all-in-one washer dryer did not seem to dry well despite various control adjustments. We used the supplied drying rack & fan to finish drying clothes, so it was not a big issue. The host said the dryer had not had problems and she would check into it (or maybe the settings we used were not correct). We did appreciate the “starter” coffee and tea that was supplied . The view of the river and bay out the living room window was very nice. Instructions for the property were generally clear and we appreciated the local restaurant info sent to us by the host. We would stay here again.
The property was very clean, in a great location (very convenient to everything in the city and with a lovely view of the water). It was exactly as advertised. The kitchen cabinets were mostly empty (only the barest essentials provided). We did have a problem getting into the property because the instructions were sent to us while we were travelling to Galway with no access to the Internet or WiFi. Wish we had got them the previous day or even earlier. The second night we were there, a very large and noisy party was going on across the water, which made sleeping very difficult. Also the battery in the smoke alarm needed to be changed, so it beeped all night long. Because another party was obviously going to take place on the third night we were booked for (we could see the people gathering by mid-afternoon), we left the apartment early and returned to Dublin. All I’ve written here sounds like a lot of complaints, but really the noisy party wasn’t the owner’s fault, and smoke alarms do tend to demand new batteries at the most inconvenient times. Sinead took care of the battery situation as soon as we called her in the morning, but there was nothing she could do about the impending party.
