This was a fantastic place to stay. Much cleaner than most hotels I have stayed in. The staff was friendly and helpful with information. The only thing that would have made it better was a fan in the room.

The Perfect Stay

The property had everything I needed, including a full kitchen, sitting room, immaculate bedroom and bathroom. The room itself was very comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful and patient when I couldn't work out where my room was. The perfect stay!

The stay at the University of Galway was lovely. The staff was kind and helpful. It is a 30 minute walk to the city center, but a bus stop is nearby. The water pressure on the shower was quite strong. Otherwise, the stay was excellent.

Loved this stay. Affordable, clean, quiet. Itโ€™s a bit far for a direct walk to downtown but thereโ€™s a bus stop right nearby, and we didnโ€™t mind getting the extra walking in so mad the walk multiple times anyways. The campus is gorgeous, you can walk by the River and get a nice view of a castle. Campus wasnโ€™t busy at all. Highly recommend if youโ€™re in the area looking for somewhere affordable. Iโ€™ll probably be staying here whenever Iโ€™m in the city in the future.

Very ideal for a solo traveler who has "outphased" the hostel experience. I stayed 5 nights in a Goldcrest Village single room. You are in a "shared apartment" but all this means is you have a (USA) hotel-style hallway to your separate, key-card locked private bedroom and bathroom (think dorm style, but you get a solo room and private, tiny but functional bathroom). There is a kitchen and shared living area in a separate part of the "apartment" with kitchen and fridge. Honestly ideal. I know there were others on my apartment block but I didn't see a soul in the shared spaces the whole time I was there. Wifi is good, and there is a tiny shop nearby. Front desk services available all but a few hours in the wee night, and Campus Security van often present and parked out front. 20ish min walk to city centre. Bodywash but no conditioner available in shower (to my girlies out there wondering). The one thing is DO ask housekeeping for any extra towels//pillows//etc that you need when they are there in the morning or leave a request the night before because the front desk was not stocked with those items. Secure luggage storage. Pricey (like everything these days) and nothing fancy but honestly the cheapest you can do for peace and quiet and getting your needs met. I very much do recommend.

Parking was included and available in a campus lot very nearby. Convenience store beside parking lot. Shared kitchen and sitting area was tidy and clean (and we were the only ones we saw!). The room was hot small window and no ac, but clean and efficient. The building was clean and quiet. The area didn't seem to be close to much walking wise, but we had a car. Check in and out was super fast and easy.

Too far out from center with absolutely nothing around. The room was muggy and super loud due to room location to building entrance. You heard people, taxis, buses, workers until 3am, then again at 6am.

Nearby bus stop or walk along the Corrib to arrive at Galway cathedral and Francis Street. En-suite private bathroom and a well equipped laundry room. Modern dorms. Nicer than what you get in the Ivy League. Irish students spoiled rotten.

Perfectly formed rooms

Travelling to Galway for work in August means a premium on your typical hotel stay so I opted for here. Perfectly formed rooms. Clean, comfortable and a great self catering kitchen. The university sits in a residential area so youโ€™ll need.to walk a little to restaurants etc. Taxi service was quick.
