"Great place to stay to relax after a full day of outdoor activities that are in minus 30 degrees Celsius in the winter, like Northern Lights watching or husky dogs sleighing in a tundra! This hotel has a great restaurant on premises and an amazing spa with hot pools, indoors and even outdoors!, steam room and sauna. I would definitely recommend Camp Ripan for anyone who would like to stay in Kiruna! "

"If you are looking to be close to nature in an active vacation, this is your place to be. We went in Dec 2025. It was gorgeous to have snow at your doorstep (literally), a frozen lake 2 min walk and forest about 5 min walk away! It was a joy to have the ability for the kids to get into their snowsuit and play outside whilst the adults prepared for the day. It was a comfortable cabin. The staff were very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and accommodating. All the activities started from the camp, so we did not need to travel far. Book the activities in advance as they sell out. We did all the activities offered and wouldn’t skip a single one if we were to do it again. We missed having a shop/ restaurant onsite. However, Kiruna was just a 15 min drive away. Coop in old Kiruna is very large and lacks nothing (including ready made meals)! If you can, keep a day for Kiruna and visit the mine. If you are looking for a luxurious cabin, this isn’t for you. We barely spent anytime in the cabin. Thank you Pranav, Alex, Vani, Nico, Luca, Andrea, Hans, and everyone else we have missed out. It was a spectacular vacation and we have come back with very fond memories. Will definitely recommend Camp Alta. "

"The hotel staff was wonderful to us. We needed to find a taxi to Kemi for an afternoon flight, and they searched extensively till they found us one. We were dropped at the airport in time to make the flight to Helsinki."
