Blue Ridge Mountain Getaway

Come experience the Gateway to the Blue Ridge Mountains! Beautiful 2 bedroom home on 7.5 acres of gorgeous blue ridge serenity. Sit back and relax or enjoy a BBQ on the oversized deck overlooking the resident mini donkeys. Spend days exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking or biking the New River Trail, paddle boarding the New River, sipping wine at many of the surrounding wineries and enjoying great music at the Blue Ridge Music Center. This is truly paradise for those who love the beautiful outdoors as well as a little small town charm and some good ol’ mountain music! Horses allowed :)
The space
2 bedroom 1 bathroom home on 7.5 beautiful acres. One bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed and the second a full size bed. Both rooms have closets, and smart TV’s. The spacious kitchen is stocked with new full size stainless steel appliances, all of your basic cooking utensils, and a coffee maker. You will also find an assortment of spices for any of your cooking needs. You will find a washer and dryer unit as well as cleaning products. Enjoy your morning coffee, or a glass of wine while BBQ’ing on the oversized back deck with new patio furniture as you enjoy watching the donkeys at play. Not only will you also enjoy stargazing at night but In the summer months you will be graced with a beautiful light show as the array of fireflies show off their beauty throughout the pastures and trees. You may also enjoy eating the fresh blackberries that grow in the back yard :) Enjoy a good book on one of the couches located in the sunlit filled living room. There you will also enjoy a smart tv for all your binging requirements :) WiFi is provided. You are welcome to use your own accounts such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, YouTube TV etc. After a long day of hiking the beautiful trails throughout the Blue Ridge mountains, enjoy a relaxing rain shower in the full size bathroom with fresh towels. Enjoy the very friendly resident mini donkeys, Peanut & Butter living in the pasture for guests to enjoy watching, petting and feeding the occasional carrot :) For those guests who would like to bring their own horses to ride the amazing nearby trails, there is a 2.5 acre pasture for guest horses. There is an additional fee per horse per night and must be pre approved by owner with proof of recent coggins. Because we have donkeys on property there are no other pets allowed. Due to having to walk up stairs to get into home, we are unfortunately not handicap accessible.

Guests may not access spring room (storage room on side of garage) or basement.
Other things to note
Donkeys are very friendly, and love people, however as is inherent with all large and small animals, there is a risk of biting, stepping on, or kicking. So due to this we ask that you interact with donkeys outside of the fence and not enter the pastures that they are located in. Grain will be provided for guests to offer the occasional treat but please do so at your own risk. Owner not responsible for injury or damage resulting from contact with donkeys :)
