Walking distance to Coffee Culture, Planet Fitness and Alfred A. Ring Park Trail. Centrally located 2 to 2.5 miles from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, downtown Gainesville, and UF Health Shands Hospital. Enjoy this comfortable mid-century home featuring vaulted ceilings with impressive exposed beams. This home has been furnished and decorated with a peaceful and comfortable ambiance. Get ready to relax and enjoy Gainesville!
THE SPACE: If you are looking for a comfortable home that is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood in Gainesville, then this is for you! Walking distance to the following: - morning coffee at Coffee Culture - your workout in at Planet Fitness - experience the peaceful trail at Alfred A. Ring Park
You will find a lot of mid-century charm here, including the ceiling with exposed beams, built in closets in every room, and the original wood floors. There is also a built-in oven that many would say works better than modern ovens (heats 50 degrees hotter than the temperature you set). There is also a built-in radio in the wall that doesn't work perfectly without static, but you can still hear the radio on it which many guests find as a neat experience.
For those looking to stay in, a 55-inch flatscreen smart TV with access to Netflix, Hulu, etc. is available. In addition, a stocked kitchen is available for guests to cook and dine at their convenience..
LOCATED: Coffee Culture is on the same block and is a short walk. The coffee is delicious with inexpensive prices, and it's a great place to bring a laptop and get work done. You won't be dissapointed!
The closest grocery store is Winn-Dixie in walking distance. Keep in mind that Ward's Supermarket is a quick 3 minute drive from the house and it has a wide array of fresh produce and plenty of natural and organic options. This is as local as it gets in Gainesville when it comes to grocery stores!
For outdoor lovers, Alfred A. Ring Park is a 10 minute walk away and it's very relaxing nature trail.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: Make sure NOT to park on the street that is the same side as the house because it's a tow away zone. The other side of the street is perfectly fine.
There is an external camera looking outside the front door to ensure that the correct amount of guests in the reservation are staying at the property.

Communication was outstanding. The place was incredibly spacious and easy to get in and out. All our questions were answered, and we really appreciated the close proximity to family members who live in Gainesville.
Lisa and Jarred’s VRBO saved us after our prior VRBO plans fell through. They graciously accepted our last minute reservation. This is the Perfect spot for attending UF Graduation—just minutes from campus, restaurants, and grocery stores. The house had so much character, and we loved making pancakes in the cozy kitchen. Would absolutely stay again!
Great property and location! We loved exploring the city of Gainesville, so it was nice to have a place close to the heart of town. It was the perfect fit for my group of 5!
We have stayed in and around UF for years. The location of the property made it so quick and easy to get to and from campus on a game day. The home was clean and the beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet. We loved being able to have our furbaby with us. The communication with Lisa and Jarred was excellent. They were very responsive and attentive. We hope to stay again.
Very clean and owner/ manager contacted us often to check on things. Having a garage was a plus. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Gainesville.
This house was spectacular. Check in was a breeze and the host attended to every single detail or issue. The house is exactly what the pictures indicated. I would recommend this property to anyone to visit . 5-star all the way.
Exactly as advertised, great mid-century house with plenty of space for a large group of people. Centrally located and extremely convenient shopping and dining. Host is responsive and provided timely access details and thorough information pertaining to the property. Will definitely rent again, next time the family is in town.
Host communicated well. Located close to UF for game day. No coffee on the property but a coffee shop just down the street. The grocery store is very close. Would be nice to have bikes on the property as Gainesville is very bike friendly.
My son and I came down for spring break. The location is very close to the Florida campus. The property was very spacious. I think it had 4 beds and plenty of space to handle that many people. We didn't use any of the amenities but they do have a grill and an outdoor fire pit. Communication between the host was very good. They gave us ideas of places to see and eat. Very good ideas. When we return to Gainesville I will definitely check this property out again.
This property was clean.Neighborhood questionable if single female staying alone.Older home. Unsure what one room was.Beds comfortable.Need a car.home's manager very helpful.Would be a great stay with the guys attending any UF Gator's game.
The home was perfect for our family and our short stay! We came into town for a UF graduation. The home was clean, very well stocked, and in a quiet, very conveniently located neighborhood. The host was very responsive and acknowledged minor issues/concerns, and open to rectification. The only minor issue was missing/non-functioning light bulbs in some lamps & a request for more smoke alarms. Would absolutely stay again if we’re ever in Gainesville!
My favorite decor is mid-century so we all felt right at home. The home is impeccably clean and has a very relaxing feel. Lots of little positive messages scattered about. I ended up needing to cook a bit and the kitchen was well-equipped for fixing a meal. Beds are comfy and lots of space for everyone to read or work. It is a convenient location for us as well. Good communication from the host.
The location is great! It is convenient to UF campus, restaurants, and shopping while being in a quiet neighborhood. We brought our dog and he loved the large, fenced-in backyard. My husband walked him early each morning and the neighbors stopped to chat - so nice! The house has everything you need for cooking - even the grill was in great shape which isn't always the case at rental units. The beds were comfy, the a/c amazingly cold :-), and there was a large water heater so no one took cold showers - hey, these bits matter! :-) I hope we can book it again in the future!
House is as described. Works perfect for our family and our pup. Love the open living room with spacious and comfy couch. We didn’t cook while we were there so can’t comment on the adequacy of the kitchen. It worked well for our needs and was well equipped for coffee, drinks and heating things up. Bathrooms were clean and the beds comfortable. It could probably use a bit of updating but we embraced its charm and character. The spaciousness is a huge perk. We will definitely be back!
It's a fairly quiet house (block construction, new windows) except when it rained (metal roof), and as the photos show, the interior is mostly original. We had no safety concerns, and the neighbors were friendly. You can expect some nearby loading dock noises in the mornings. Everything in the house worked, and the host was quick to respond to a couple minor issues at the beginning. Garage access was a nice bonus, though we only used it for our bicycles. It would easily accommodate a large car.
My family stayed at this mid century home for my son's surgery. Very close to the hospital, restaurant's, and grocery stores. Be aware this is an older home, which did not bother us, however there are a few things I wish had been different. The neighborhood did make me feel uncomfortable, although nothing negative occurred. The house on arrival was clean, however the floors could of been vacuumed better, and no vacuum was provided. I did mention this to the homeowner who offered to have someone come to vacuum. Another warning for anyone who is tall, the bathroom counters are very low!
If you are needing to cook meals the oven only cooks to 400°, and the toaster oven provided is very small. This can make cooking a challenge.
Overall our stay was good. These are just somethings other guest may like to know in advance.
We loved our stay here. It was beautiful, spacious, and well appointed. The hose was great with communication and we would 100% stay here again when visiting the area!
We stayed here while visiting family in Gainesville. The house is spacious, lots of room for our family of 4, and in a great location. We really enjoyed the big backyard! Would definitely stay again!
