This place serves its purpose. We went through and stayed for one night and then onto the next town. None of us slept well. The beds were very uncomfortable. Rooms are all outdated and some need to have repairs done. The person working the front desk was so high/out of it that he almost gave us free rooms for no reason. One of our groups key card didn't work on the door and, instead of just getting them a new key card, the guy from the front desk just came up and unlocked it with his master key. What if we were staying there multiple nights and needed to leave? Parking was fine, location isn't terrible. If your popping through for a late night rest real fast, perfectly fine. I don't suggest a full days stay
Second time we've stayed here and we were expecting it to be better than last year. We were wrong. Still had the same abandoned vehicle in the parking lot (apparently used for storage). Area that should have been for coffee and continental breakfast had furniture stacked and covered. A section of the tile floor in lobby was under repair. Exterior wood needed paint. Smoke detector in room did not have a battery (and battery compartment was open - this was plainly visible). Chain/secondary latch on the door was non-functional. No soap in room, though there were four shampoo envelopes. Had two bath towels first night and a wash cloth, but by second night only a single towel (the one we didn't use) remained. We had to ask the folks sitting just outside the door smoking marijuana to move down since the odor was coming in under the door. Bed was comfortable, though the pillows were a bit stiff. It looked like the room had been recently renovated, but the walls were still scuffed and the room door was discolored from dirt. Pool was covered, mostly. The place looked totally full, so there is clearly demand at this price point, and the location is good, but management needs to pay more attention to building maintenance and the details - all of them. Unlikely to stay here again, price is good but not worth putting up with the problems. If the county finds out about the lack of functional smoke detectors (a repeat from last year) they will probably shut the place down.
Myself and my son walked in for about five minutes and left to find another hotel to stay at for 3 days. It was completely different than what the pictures showed on the site Expedia needs to take it of there website until they can clean it up
The floor was not vacuumed the sheets were very nasty the blankets were very nasty as if they hadn't been washed there was a very foul odor there was still urine on the toilet it was a very bad experience
Just don't go there. Supposedly non smoking property- our room smelled of smoke, had to get deodorizer spray. No coffee maker, no hair dryer, smoke detector was opened up with no battery, paint peeling. Just an awfullplace.
The building was rundown. The toilet wasn’t even fastened down to the floor. There was roach bugs everywhere. The carpet was stained and wet. My last day there no water all day and night. So I left early. Also there was police there a couple of times
The hotel was in shambles. Half the carpet was missing and we were walking in concrete. The walls were filthy!!! No la.p shades. Looked like the bathroom walls was painted with a $3 can of paint. The room had a terrible smell!!! We will never, and I mean never stay there again!!!
This hotel feels like it is in an unsafe area. The room was dirty and the AC was an old window unit that had to have the reset button repeatedly pushed. I would NOT recommend this hotel.
This room was not only run down, the toilet seat was broken and detached from the bowl. Paint was worn off furniture. Window curtains were in tatters.
Avoid this property
This property does not deserve even one star. I did not stay tho I had pre-paid three nights. Expedia should not promote this property. Send someone out for updated photos. It's obviously a short- to long-term stay flop house, not a hotel. I was at Jameson for a total of five hours and the police were out twice. Two thumbs down so far they're broken!
This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at, beating the low bar set by a red roof inn in Akron. First room given was trashed. Obviously no cleaning done in there. The proprietor, who was a very nice guy, scrambled to find another room where it was obvious he just quickly made up the beds. The room was filthy, and i have a pretty high tolerance for filth. Something sticky on the AC, which took several hours to cool down the room. Cigarette holes in sheets (non- smoking room), falling apart cabinet, disgusting bathroom, and bugs chewing on me through the night. If i would have known, i would have saved my money and slept in my vehicle.
