Hotel in cute little beach town
Hotel Serapo is in a great location right on the beach. Many amenities are not open mid October. Private beach is closed, pool is closed. A bit confusing to figure out where the restaurant is. There are 2 buildings. The beds and pillows were evil. Nice staff.

Great location with beautiful views of the ocean, the beach and the city (depending on which side is your room). Very easy to walk to many restaurants. We walked all the way to the end of the town very easy. The only down side is the maids did not respect the do not disturb sign on the door. But overall it was great!

Liked: right on serapo beach, easy cheap parking, nice balcony, good breakfast, close to everything in gaeta, 5 min drive to old gaeta. Cons: walls are thin so you can hear people being intimate, babies crying for hours, peolple literally doing anything, rooms and facilities are ugly and beyond out dated, showers are tiny and theres no room to be inside w the doors closed so your floor will have water everywhere when youre done, staff does not care about their guests i didnt have towels in my room after they cleaned so i called the front desk and asked for some at 1330 they said okay we will take them to you i come back at 1530 to no towels again and not able to shower, so i go to the front desk and they told me at 1900 they would have the cleaning lady bring me towels i said no now, so they said okay we will bring them. I go down to the beach for an hour come to my room.. no towels.. so i go to the front desk and this woman gives me towels after laughing at me. I go to the room only to find that all the towels were smaller. A blonde hair blue eye man was the person i spoke to multiple times and lied to me multiple times about bringing towels. This hotel desk staff treat their guests bad so does the short hair chubby parking guy who wont move the barriers for you to park. The hotel is terribly decorated its weird. If it wasnt cheap and on the beach i wouldnt have stayed there but i wont again... awful service

Nice hotel but…..
This is a beautiful location right on the ocean. Room was clean. Check in was easy. The shower was good That is where the good ends. During our stay there were multiple school groups staying that would take over the hotel, constant yelling and noise. We stayed 4 Nights, our room was over a patio and 3 of the 4 nights the teenagers had a party on the patio with the music so loud it shook the room. When we complained the first night they said it was only 1 night but that was not true- it continued the next two. Staff was not helpful at all and did not have any consideration for other paying guests. The have a beautiful beach but they would not provide a chair to sit at it. Breakfast was not self serve, and you felt they discouraged you to ask for items. Overall it was very disappointing and I would advise anyone looking at booking g this hotel to inquire if there are any school groups booked in at that time.

The hotel was lovely,the only down side was that I booked a lovely room online and a few hrs later discovered it was for the wrong date, they would not change the date, i knew it was not refundable and only wanted to make the stay sooner. I had to book the same room a second time and no accomodation was made for my booking date error. I had already confirmed plans to meet friends there.

Great location, friendly staff, terrific views. Access to local transportation is easy once you figure it out. We still walked more than we should but had a great stay!

Although an older hotel (decor is quite dated) this place is a very good place to stay. The service in all departments was exceptional, great facilities- gym and swimming pool fantastic. Breakfast was wonderful.Right in beach lovely ocean views from rooms. Everything is in short walking distance from hotel. A great place to stay and value for money .

The property is in a very good location, needs updating, the hotel takes care of people with special needs, we where not prepared to have someone standing in the middle of the restaurant area yelling loudly for hrs. The hotel is located near a very nice beach

Location nice, rooms devastating
The location is excellent so we hope the hotel does some renovation. It feels more like an old retirement home or hospital than a hotel. The “wellness center” should be a museum as the machines are the same you would find in a museum or trash dump, very dangerous at best. There is no floor, workers and dust everywhere. The rooms don’t have even a water bottle available, beds are terrible, pillows laughable, shower unusable, nothing works .. the women cleaning don’t even have carts on all 4 wheels... the indoor pool they advertise is open for guests one hour a day, during dinner. Again, they have a great location near the beach and walking distance to town, but we couldn’t bear even 5 minutes in the room

Very clean hotel on the beach. Everything is in walking distance in this area. Small rooms but your only the to sleep really. Decent fresh spread for breakfast everyday, frontend eating anywhere else for lunch and dinner. Limited parking in the hotel parking spots.

The bed was lumpy and the pillows were very flat. The king bed was 2 twin beds pushed together which left a ridge in the middle. Nice large room with sea view and balcony. Good resturant and easy walking to many places.

Good Place Even Off Season
Wonderful hotel, even for off season. Spacious room, great sea view, easy walk to the beach, easy access to downtown Gaeta. 2 negatives: (1) terrible bed - could feel the springs; (2) poor breakfast - not worth the effort.

Very convenient to the beach
Was a lovely hotel in a very good location.Wifi was terrible,we had to sit in the hotel lobby to get it. The hot tub was really nice. Limited lunch and dinner times.

Hotel Serapo with a great view.
Hotel Serapo is on a private beach in Gaeta where the view is spectacular. The room was fine and there is a free European style breakfast.

Great location!
We booked 3 rooms at the hotel, all three were ready and clean when we got there. The woman who checked us in spoke English, which was helpful. We checked in on October 2nd. On September 30th, the hotel pool and private beach close. So, if the weather is nice, like it was for our stay, your on-site activities are limited. Also on September 30th, the AC is shut off; Our rooms overlooked the beach, which meant afternoon sun, which meant hot rooms. There are small balconies but no screens so leaving the windows/doors open was not a great idea due to the flies and mosquitoes. The grounds of the hotel are nice, but the surrounding area has A LOT of garbage laying around, thus adding to the fly problem.

Laid Back Retro Hotel
We stayed in Hotel Serapo for the ambiance 70's. It is very laid back and we love it. But the rooms are very pricey and small. It is not very comfortable. We also had to pay extra for the hotel beach access (20 euros). Nice breakfast.

Great location - but not what I expected in terms of service. Rude staff / breakfast was average at best / overall most areas seem to need some upgrading. Hotel looked run down. Would try another hotel when coming back to Gaeta

Perfect spot in Gaeta- on a lovely beach!
This is the place to stay in Gaeta. You are directly on the beach! Get a sea view room and you'll have a balcony to watch the sea and gorgeous sunsets. They renovated and the showers are spacious and well designed. Breakfast was excellent, in summer months you can enjoy it on a terrace. A small pool but why bother with Serapo( the beach) so close. This beach is pure sand and the water has no rocks or obstructions of any kind! You can walk to Gaeta Vecchia, the City Center, enjoy a park across the street and lots of fun for kids nearby with go- karts etc! Very reasonable and the staff was pleasant and accommodating!

Fun place to stay, good location.
Hotel Serapo is in a great location on the beach, but also a short walk from charming old town Gaeta. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful. The garden on the hotel grounds was beautiful. Our stay was in early April, so the hotel pool was not ready for the tourist season yet, however it looked like it would be very nice once open.

Hotel was clean & right on the beach. Breakfast was typical continental but not hit choice just bread & pastry. had dinner one night it the restaurant & it was ok. We were in the annexe at the rear of the hotel, which was in need of some TLC. Staff were happy to help & fixed the problem we had with the air con. Only real complaint was the cost of the Sunbeds on their beach. €20 a day was expensive when the next section of beach was only €10 & next door by less than 10m

Terrific family hotel in fabulous position
We had a family room on the top (third) third floor. The room was very clean and had a small balcony overlooking the beach- lovely! Only faults were uncomfortable beds and air-con that needed to be slightly colder. Everything else excellent, good breakfast, lovely garden/ pool area, gym and indoor pool, very clean sandy beach, spectacular town- loved it!

Great hotel for holiday wonderful located on the beach this hotel have 3 building with restaurants and bars wonderful garden with the Limon trees and botanik flowers very quiet area close to big public garden good for families and honey moon

Unimpressive but adequate
The room was clean and quiet but VERY basic. Empty night stands, no decoration- it felt like a dorm room. The view from the balcony was nice, the breakfast was fine. We did not know that the private beach requires you to rent chairs each day (16E for 2 chairs or 20E with the umbrella). For the price and location, the hotel was acceptable.
