About this property

Classic 1960s holiday home with Limfjord views

  • Fur is a small island where a five-minute ferry ride feels like shifting gears, and this classic house from the late ’60s fits right in with that atmosphere. The calm color palette was chosen to promote relaxation, and there’s art on the walls and a playful touch in the cabinets.

The kitchen is stocked with oils, sauces, and spices, so you’ll have everything you need to cook a proper meal. A dishwasher was deliberately omitted, as the view of the water turns doing the dishes into something other than a chore. In winter, the wood-burning stove is lit, and the armchair overlooking the fjord awaits with a cup of hot chocolate after a walk through the winter landscape.

Outside, there’s a large wooden deck overlooking the Limfjord, a covered south-facing deck, and an east-facing deck with a spa and lounge area. A small conservatory is perfect for windy days or cozy evenings, and an outdoor shower with hot water and a secret sunset spot with garden furniture round out the garden. Two bicycles and a ping-pong table in the shed are available for free use.

The Moler Pits on Fur have just been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Inside the house, you’ll find a book with handwritten tips on the island’s restaurants, potters, and nature experiences, written in both Danish and English.
