Incredible

I can recommend this property to everyone, clean, fully equipped, there is everything in this property, I can even say that it is luxurious, very good location and the views from the balconies are indescribable, I recommend it with all my heart.

Great stay

The stay at Aldinas place was absolutely great. The appartement is clean, spacious and has a great few over beautiful Funchal. Communication with the owner was flawless and easy, they were really helpful with lokal Tips.

Great view and location!

We were so positively surprised! The place is great. Close to the city centre and easy to find free parking nearby :)) But the view... We spent so much time just looking at the sea from the top balcony 😍 Highly recommend:))!!

Great spot

It was really handy for town, and the view from the rooftop terrace was amazing. The house itself was lovely. I think the kitchen could have been better equipped and the fridge not right in front of oven door, the bedding in the second room could do with an upgrade, but overall it was great value for money.

Nice stay

The place is up a hill, and there are some noises, but all in all it was very nice to stay there. Two stages and balconies. Seperatet rooms. Nice ambience and a great view over Funchal. The kitchen has everything you need (the oven could be places better, but it worked for cooking).

It was nice stay, good location and view was fantastic, however, it was also very noisy at nights - you can hear every noise outside - dogs, parties, cars.

Noisy and lack of maintenance

There was a lot of noise in the night, dogs barking from the appartement below. Multiple locks didnt work ( frontdoor and bathroom door. No towels to dry the dishes.

Logement très agréable et très bien équipé. Très belle vue sur Funchal de la terrasse.Proche du centre ville / du port à pied.Places de parking gratuites à proximité, très appréciable !Cela a contribué à ce que nous passions un excellent séjour à Madère. Seul petit bémol s'il faut en trouver un, l'environnement est parfois un peu bruyant (comme souvent en ville), notamment à cause des chiens vivant à proximité.

Leider für 4 Erwachsene nicht passend, da das 2.Bett nur kürzere Matratzen und ein Ausziehbett hat und die Tür kein Schloss und keine Türklinke besitzt.Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter hat super funktioniert und wir konnten schon früher in die Wohnung. Zu Fuß ist es sehr anstrengend, da die Wohnung an einem steilen Berg liegt, aber das ist an vielen Orten in Madeira so. Das Wohnzimmer könnte wohnlicher eingerichtet werden. Sehr schöne Aussicht besonders von der oberen Terrasse. Hundegebell und Straßenlärm war manchmal nervig

Funchal stay

The apartment is well equiped, with good kitchen facilties and bedroom storage.The 2 outside balconies are well furnished and very useful - good place for drying wet things on first, great views from the top. We had diiner there a few times.The area is mostly very quiet, with the exception of the morning peak traffic and the barkiing dogs. The dogs barked at passersby and when we went onto the lower balcony. They also barked a few times at night, disturbing the whole neightbourhood. I'm a very light sleeper, my husband slept through most of it. There are dogs the world over.the location is very good, about 10 minutes walk down to town, very steep coming back up. there is a bus stop just yards from the front door. Parking is OK but avoid school pick up time around 5pm. Joao was very helpful and provided lots of information.A good place to stay.

A month in Madeira

The location of the property is excellent. Close to many points of interest and an exceptional view from the upper balcony. We stayed for 4 weeks, so the proximity to local cafes and small grocery stores was very helpful. The major shopping area and large grocery store was 15.minutes walk. The hill to the centre of town is steep, but we were prepared for that. Madeira is beautiful and Funchal is a fascinating town to explore. This property was a perfect base for that.

Wohnung mit Aussicht

Die Wohnung ist funktional eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Das Highlight ist der phantastische Blick über Stadt und Hafen. Der Sonnenaufgang ist vom oberen Balkon ist atemberaubend. Das Stadtcentrum ist fussläufig erreichbar, auf dem Rückweg darf man sich nicht vor einem recht steilen Anstieg scheuen.

SUPER

Wir waren sehr früh auf Madeira gelandet, aber die Wohnung erst ab 16 Uhr bezugsfertig. Wir nutzten die Zeit für die erste Orientierung. Joao meldete sich aber schon um 14 Uhr, so das wir da schon in die frisch geputzte Wohnung konnten. Die Wohnung war voll ausgestattet und alles funktionsfähig. Die Räume sind für 3 Personen perfekt mit Betten ausgestattet. Das Badezimmer hat alles was man braucht. Am letzten Abend war das Gas ausgegangen und somit hatten wir kein warmes Wasser. Joao kam aber innerhalb einer Stunde und das Problem war gelöst. Der Ausblick vom oberen Balkon über den Atlantik ist phänomenal, sehr entspannend. Die Lage der Wohnung ist gut. Viele kleine Bars sind zu Fuss zu erreichen und die Innenstadt ist ca. 15 Minuten entfernt. Mit der Boltapp kann man sich sicher und günstig von der Stadt heim fahren lassen. Das Einzige was wir bemängeln, ist der massive Autoverkehr an der Straße, aber da kann keiner was ändern. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und sehr gut zu erreichen. Auf englisch konnten wir uns gut austauschen Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Aufenthalt auf Madeira, der sicher wieder in dieser Wohnung sein wird

Repairs and renovation long overdue; no privacy possible

We had a bad experience. Frankly all the positive comments are surprising. The house is in bad condition, it seems like nothing has been done in terms of repairs for a while, even small urgent things. There is a lot of water damage visible on the walls, and signs of mold in some places. The door handle in the bathroom is broken inside, so that it’s impossible to get out when you’re in (unless somebody lets you out). Because of that, there is literally zero privacy. This has been known for a while (see review 02.2024) and nothing was done about it. We let the owner know about this problem as soon as we discovered it, but he said that he is abroad and didn't seem to be very interested to help either. First night of our stay water was leaking on my mom’s head while she was sleeping! I couldn't believe it. We’ve listed just the major things, there are other little things: it is kind of dirty (hasn't been cleaned properly), all the kitchen utensils have old grease on it. The oven is badly positioned (can’t be opened as the fridge is in the way). One comment: we were not expecting the most modern house (the photos are real) and aware that the price is fairly low, but there are basic things that have to be guaranteed: cleanliness, privacy (e.g. being able to close the bathroom door), no mold and definitely roof that doesn't leak when it rains. We don't think that it is too much to ask for. To sum up: we don’t recommend renting the place, unless you want to be disappointed.

Convenient property & great host

Our host João was very kind and helpful. The property was very good and was as described in the listing. It included all the facilities that we needed and was located a 10 minute walk away from Central Funchal. All in all it served as a lovely base to explore the rest of Madeira from.
